D&D V6 - Edition jokes don't really make sense anymore

PC party beat the lich and barely stole a ship from the real big bads and are now leaving the colonies and heading for the capital for their next campaign.
I don't think they properly realize how damning some things look, they burned down a town that was infested by a cult but no survivors means nobody to explain why, so they're implicated in that, they may have started a war with the Dwarves, they were seen assisting goblin warbands, they are known to somehow be connected to the Lich, they killed two or three city guardsmen escaping from the duke after they accidentally threatened his life, and he was then assassinated and they were blamed, and they are the number one connection to the strange cabal everyone now wants to stop.
They were briefly warned that an Inquisition has been formed on the mainland to try and excise all foreign influence of this cabal, and I think they just assumed they'll get along since they're fighting them too. Time for them to be 'escorted to the Regent' only for them to be captured and dragged to the interrogation cells by the inquisitor I stole from The First Law books.
Gonna drag them into different rooms one by one and have one of the players make sure nobody talks about in game stuff while interrogations are happening, gonna play them against each other, bribe them, and play on their characters. So excited. Gonna fuck my player's minds.
Sounds like a good opportunity for them to join the side of evil, since everyone already hates them!
Players doing dumb shit and expecting no long-term consequences is as eternal as only rolling 20s on non-vital rolls.
Yep, this will be a nice kick. They're a good party in a very ambiguous world and they've started to realize that but I don't think they fully appreciate subtlety yet. oh yeah and they allied with a sorta friendly lich which is another great mark on their record.
I can already imagine how exactly the Paladin will go:
"I saved the kingdom!"
"You weren't in the kingdom."
"I was in the colonies!"
"You realize nobody gives a damn about the colonies."
"B-but I saved-"
"Yep, guess we'll drag in your last living family member after all, back to the cell!"
Speaking of dnd specifically, I'm helping my GM put together a large list of custom magic items ranging from useful to absurd. Anyone got any concepts they'd be willing to donate to the growing pile?

the keys of whatever
its a small chain with two keys on each end. when you put the key on a lock and put the other end on another lock, whatever lies inside one recipient is teleported to the other.
i think i read this somewhere
[editline]3rd December 2017[/editline]
it can lead to absurd moments if your players are clever enough

One of my players quite liked the set of silenced tools I gave them, like pickaxes and hammers and whatnot that make no sound when used.
a bag of scolding : When opened, berates the owner
a bag of molding : Makes everything placed within forever smell of mildew
a cloak of resist fire : Actually just makes you perpetually wet
a cloak of cymbals : A runed garment that causes a clatter of cymbals constantly when worn
ring of feather falling : When you fall, turns you into a feather
a +1 shaming sword : Shouts random Shakespearean insults at both the wielder and his enemies
a rope of entanglement : Endlessly tangled in knots, no matter how many are unwound
a censor of controlling air elementals : Silences anyone attempting to summon an air elemental in range

Most of this stuff I create off the top of my head after looking at names of randomly generated magical items, quality isn't guarenteed
EDIT:
Probably should've double-checked which link I was putting in, should be available to view now
Nightvision goggles: After wearing them, your eyes expand and for 8 hours your eyes are massively enlarged and sensitive to light.
Nest Egg: An egg of small size. If kept safe and warm for a week by a character, it will hatch into a random creature that is loyal to its 'mother'. If broken before then, it contains a modest sum of gold.
Bag of Charisma: A paper sack which, if placed on the head of a creature, grants improved charisma checks against the opposite sex. Effect ends immediately and harshly when bag is removed.
I’m looking for artwork of 5e pixies like the one in the monster manual, anyone know where I could find something like that?

DiTerlizzi draws some really good faeries (among other things).

I’m looking for something more cutesy, actually.
A google search for pixie ought to find cutesy stuff. It's not a D&D unique thing, after all, and it's something people have been making art of for centuries. You'd know what you want better than I, as the ones in the MM didn't seem that cutesy to me.

You say that, but look at their powers. They're EVIL little shits and way more dangerous than their low CR would imply. They're no stwingers (little fuckers would charm you then ride in your hair so hard it'd rip out causing damage, potentially knocking you out or even killing you until they got bored), quicklings (FAST fuckers who had obscenely good AC, a movement speed faster than literally anything short of teleporting, and poisoned weapons), but they're malicious in their 'pranks' none the less!
(The art is just generic green girl with butterfly wings, BOOOORING, not cutesy at all.)

Well green girl with butterfly wings brings up children's halloween costumes and green fairy is apparently a kind of absinthe or something so I'm running out of ideas.

Try pixie, pixy, sprite, fairy, faerie, or one of the dozens of other spellings for all that stuff. Here, let me see what I can get for ya. (Jeez, some are huge.)

Her top says "pixie princess" but her pants say "today is pajama day"
It's hard to find clothes that fit when you're that tiny.
Player looted the lich corpse before they ran off and I panicked and said he found a black tome on the lich.
What should it do?

They're level six, I don't want it to be too extreme. Player also expressed a slight interest in lichdom.

A book of beginning necromancy and transmutation spells, some treatises on the nature of necromantic magic, and musings on mortality. Should have some spells, no more than 4-5 and not higher level than 3, but it should also be locked, arcane locked, and protected with explosive runes. Should maybe have clues leading to another adventure area. Perhaps it was just the apprentice book the lich used long ago, he was reading it for inspiration or something?
So, the clue can lead to some site that was important to the lich, might be key to finding it's true phylactery (or pursuing the same path).

(They fought a ghost army off, but while they were fighting it a large chunk of the city's population got slaughtered, so a shadowland formed in the middle of the city, and they spent the night in there.)
Fairies should always be evil motherfuckers.

Have SOME of them good
now they can have pixie wars.
Players can join sides and basically become front-line titans

Nah, have them be evil in different ways.

Locked, arcane locked, protected with explosive runes.... but it's just the Lich's diary. It chronicles his ascent into lichdom and then his descent into and life with undying madness, while giving somewhat subtle clues about potential adventure hooks. E.g. - immortals the lich interacted with (fae, vampires, etc), artifacts he was reasearching, and so forth.

It looks like you have privacy settings set on that document. Mind opening it up so that anyone with a link can look?
Also, thanks everyone for your rather silly ideas. :v: I've got a couple of odd ones of my own that I can share here as thanks:
Cursed Ring of Haste: A solid gold ring, enchanted to make its wearer go faster, for a price. It may be used once per short rest to cast Haste, but if the wearer takes damage while they are in Haste, they will drop 1/10th of their current wealth as it scatters about around them. If not collected by allies or friends by the end of the wearer's next turn, the dropped wealth dissapears. If you make the mistake of getting hit during the effects of Haste without any wealth on your person, your HP is instantly set to 0.
Groucho's Frames: These 'glasses', vision enhancing tools usually reserved for the rich, have been given a unique property thanks to a scheming wizard. When worn, your eyebrows and nose grow comically large, and you grow a mustache. The perfect disguise, some might say. Grants Advantage on Disguise checks and Perception checks involving eye sight.
Alchemist's Long Range Applicator: A modified crossbow designed to launch glass vials at targets. Deals 1 damage from contact, and applies the vial's contents to the target. Great for poisoning foes and healing allies from afar!
Porcelain Pony: A creepy porcelain statue of a horse. You swear it keeps looking at you with its beady eyes. Your head is filled with the echoing sounds of horse neighs if you stare long enough. For those brave enough to sit on its porcelain saddle, the pony will lift into the air a few inches, and hover at the speed of a normal horse, in any direction you wish to go. It is functionally the same as a normal Horse, but it does not need to eat or sleep.
Telescoping Blade: At first glance, this blade appears to a rather heavy Dagger. However, at will, the user may mentally Will (Wisdom) (DC 10) the blade to transform into a Longsword or Greatsword, or with greater mental effort, (DC 15) a Rapier, Scimitar, or Whip as a Bonus Action. The Telescoping Blade transforms back when it’s dropped. These are treated as being their base level variant, though the Telescoping Blade can be enchanted like any other weapon.

Lich's porn stash
Magical throwing Dagger.
[if this magical blade hits your intended living target it will do normal damage and then return to your hand via teleportation]
[if you miss, it acts like a normal non magical Dagger and will not teleport back, clattering uselessly to the ground.]
Taunting steel
[magical melee weapon, that allows you to speak and understand the language of the creature you are attacking. (only if this creature has the ability to speak and understands speech) ]
Sphere of magic missile
[casts a 5ft sphere centred on you that travels at 10ft per round in one direction only.
Any creature that moves within 10ft of it instantly suffers a 3rd level magic missile attack.
Sphere disappears after 3 turns.]
