wouldn't that be alcesthropy since lycan means wolf
Hooks
I saw one from a random generator which was pretty good where the entire population of a small town was gaining innate necromancy powers from a nearby Lich, like evil magic via osmosis.
wouldn't that be alcesthropy since lycan means wolf
You mean Canada, right?
wouldn't that be alcesthropy since lycan means wolf
The vast majority of settings refer to anybody who turns into any kind of animal form against their will sometimes but is otherwise human as a Lycanthrope. Regardless of what the animal is.
today in traveller: Event Horizon meets some real good vibes, man some things in the universe you just can't control, you gotta let go and let the flow carry you, ya feel?
Found some more:
Do you have a source on these? I'd love to look through them myself.
Anybody got some goofy, but at least somewhat viable builds for D&D 5e? Asking just in case of universal wipeage and i want something good for the next game's start.
Do you have a source on these? Best plothook you could ever give: The President has been kidnapped by ninjas. Are you a bad enough dude to rescue the President?
Best plothook you could ever give: The President has been kidnapped by ninjas. Are you a bad enough dude to rescue the President?
You might think this is a joke, but throw it into your regular DnD world: How does a kingdom have a President? Where did those ninjas come from (arguably not that complex of a question)? And how bad is bad enough to save the president? And most importantly - how else can you get those sick shades that dude's wearing?
boy I sure hope my l5r group appreciate my research into traditional japanese furnishing styles placing these tatami mats properly is time consuming
So we started our first D&D campaign the other day. I was dubious of whether I'd enjoy it or not but turned out to be a lot of fun. Our DM is great. However, I was the first person to roll a check and rolled a Nat 1.. Strangled some poor guy with his own necklace and got punched in the face, taking 1hp damage... Started with the lowest Hp of 6 and on my first roll I lost more, typical. The second roll was also a Nat 1 but I don't recall what happened. I went through a really good spell of getting 20+ on checks until a fight with some magic swords. I tried to be smart and transmute a sheath but rolled a low number and got myself stabbed. One of our tanks (I think he's a fighter or paladin) missed 90% of his swings and nearly quit out of rage. [t]http://puu.sh/qLphy/fbe7c7c44f.png[/t]
"dragon has been killed far away from it's cave of gold, literal gold rush starts"
I'm tempted to use it. Too bad I never run/play fantasy games.
what software is this
Roll20. But technically it's a website.
Yeah, if you're really into D&D you can get a subscription that adds line of sight, lighting effects and shit like that. For now, our DM just used big black boxes to block stuff off. There's ambient music and support for custom graphics and all sorts, it's really cool. [t]http://puu.sh/qLOv6/a8bed8b078.png[/t] [editline]23rd August 2016[/editline] There's a grid too for measuring distance and movement stuff.
And you can type and keep a chatlog, so if you're mental like us you can do everything in it
roll20 is excellent except for it's fucking fuck shit bipolar dice
pictured: every inn the party ever goes to, because I am not doing another one
Just cycle through the many quality maps on Google?
Just cycle through the many quality maps on Google? MAPSSSSS Inn/tavern maps are among the most common types made for fantasy games, there's plenty to pick from if you want variety.
Except those are all western fantasy taverns. His tavern is a more Japanese style because he's playing L5R.
I still maintain Fantasy Grounds is better if you've got the money.
maybe if you play nothing but D&D without any house rules or homebrew
Nah this is all (bar the dm) our first time, we ain't gonna be paying for anything. D&D will just be a weekend thing, our regular shit is always gonna be Overwatch, Chivalry or Fistfull of Frags. I mean, we're all loving it, but it's way to early to start thinking about spending money. [editline]blarg[/editline] Fantasy grounds actually looks kinda tacky and weird, not a fan of those default art assets. I'd rather stick to my DM's hand drawn stuff. He is an illustrator after all.
friends i need a system for a session that i'm running i'm looking for dark heresy, but in a fantasy setting with magic if possible (the only reason i'm not running dark heresy is because of the magic rules) help a brother out
friends i need a system for a session that i'm running i'm looking for dark heresy, but in a fantasy setting with magic if possible (the only reason i'm not running dark heresy is because of the magic rules) help a brother out
Warhammer Fantasy RPG? I'd recommend 2e, if you like everything else about Dark Heresy(mainly the dice system), 3e if you just like the setting and don't foam at the mouth when you think about the dice system Star Wars:EoE uses(because it's literally the same).

And for generally grimdark settings there's things like Lamentations of the Flame Princess (OSR) or Shadow of the Demonlord which both look kinda neat.
maybe if you play nothing but D&D without any house rules or homebrew
Extensions and external libraries are easy to add, anything else you can already handle the same way you'd do it in roll20
