The only one I can think of off the top of my head would be older versions of the M24. I'm sure there's others out there, but I think most good militaries have realized that detachable magazines are the way to go.
The SAW is amazing, 250 rounds, full auto, and really really controllable recoil. Also the suppression so if the first 5 don't hit, then the next 15 will.
Half the time on Push or other objective heavy modes I see my teammates using it like an assault rifle.
Then I pick up the gun and half the enemy team goes into hiding, seriously.
Spraying the shit out of that thing in the general direction of the objectives and you will win.
Stay mobile though, fuck the bipod.
[editline]30th November 2014[/editline]
Also, running 12-0 on average with that gun is pretty messed up.

Mmm that reminds me, they should make it so you can re-supply mg's or other support roles.
The SAW is by far my favorite weapon. Sadly I find being kebabs incredibly entertaining so I don't use it as much as I'd like.
I can never hit anything with the SAW, and when i try to aim down sights the muzzle flash makes me blind :v:
and even if i hipfire the shit outta it just to land a shot or two, it feels like it's shooting foam darts if i actually land those 30 bullets i shot in someone's general direction standing about 10 meters away
RPK WEAPON OF THE KEBAB
How the FUCK do you destroy the cache on Strike? (Search and Destroy)
We threw two IEDs and a molotov on it and it didn't blow up. Also tried IED + Frag + RPG.

Anyway why the fuck is the group dead, I downlaoded Metro 2033 kalash for AK74 aweek ago and didnt play with it still, because Im busy and have no real incentive to play without a party:(
You can always start an announcement yourself, you all have moderator privileges inside the group.

Did newcomers gain them aswell?
Apparently so. I have mod privs and I only recently got the game and joined the group.
Did newcomers gain them aswell?
I am always checking here and there to make sure everyone is able to call together a party. No need for any special approval, I just want to prevent randoms to join the group and spam announcements/events.

Sometimes they get bugged out
A frag grenade actually does like 90something percent damage on the first hit, so sometimes you get super lucky and the splash damage from another explosive hurts it enough to where that one grenade is all you need to wipe it out
If an IED in the same room as the cache doesn't take it out though then there's something wrong with it for sure. the solution to that is to just play the game like a deathmatch shooter like everyone else in the game (who does objectives??? scrub)

I think I was in that round, no matter how many explosives I could scavenge from the battlefield it would never blow up.
I think that Strike is simply just Deathmatch with a random chance thrown into it for fun.
I like strike if you have a coordinated attack team. It can be a great payoff
FUCK sinjar though. Sinjar period is one of the worst maps ever thanks to the god-awful security spawn. Everyone stack to insurgents because they know they can get a good few kills in while security are forced to climb up an impassable mountain. It's good on firefight though since everyone is given a fair chance thanks to the improved spawn locations
I hate playing on pubs with that map in rotation because everyone votes sinjar and then storm to insurgents. If you want to play a crappy deathmatch game there's a lot less respectable games out there
^solution: don't play sinjar on pvp modes
sometimes it's beyond your control. if people are dumb enough to vote for it then you have to play it no matter what
most server owners have the audacity to leave it on rotation in gamemodes where it's clearly just a wanton deathmatch map for the fifteen year old "pro sniper" audience... or because the server owners are too lazy to change from the default settings. either/or it's an insult to the regular intelligent playerbase
^solution: don't play sinjar on pvp modes
The middle/last part of the map is super fun, though. I love that little town, so many places to hide.
if it wasn't for the security team spawning super far back from the cliff face it wouldn't be so bad. the starting location for security on firefight is PERFECT because they spawn at the very base of the mountain instead of like a whole block away
I think my game might be preloading it's assests wrong, is it some more known issue? or it is just my computer being wierd?
I'm asking because it's usually loading long as hell
insurgents get the worst of it actually, assuming you know how to spot silhouettes on the mountain. if security is organized, not even an organized insurgent team can stop them.
Got the game and started it.
Took me like 30 mins to realize that you spawn by clicking the labels in the squad selection screen because for some reason they light up when my mouse is on the other side of the screen so I was clicking at that
I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't mind Sinjar, as long as I've got teammates who know what the fuck they're doing.
One of the things that really pisses me off about Push though is the fact that as insurgents you are confined to increasingly small portions of the map, and if you're way out in front when an objective is taken, you're screwed. You are seriously screwed. Once I was sneaking up on some snipers and the objective was taken and I suddenly found myself in a "no shooting, get back to the fight" zone, and I was right fucking behind them but unable to do anything.
I know it's to enforce the idea behind the gamemode and to stop Security from getting their shit wrecked by spawn flanking, but god damn is it annoying.
man i really hate the night maps. so many people ask why nobody plays the night maps, well, it's because the ai's can see you and because you're either using a flashlight or the nvg, you have less visibility on the bots.
Alright I have 2 keys left from humble bundle, grab them if you want them or send it to a friend. They go bad on Dec. 9th.

I once camped the corner of the cinder block building on sinjar and the security forces just kept on running into the building and into my line of fire lmao they were like lemmings

That is pretty annoying, yeah, but I love how they made it actually dark - both flashlights and NVG are useful, unlike plenty of other games that have both but are perfectly navigable because their levels are less than well-lit.
Is there a difference between the M4A1 and the MK18 in terms of damage and/or other gameplay issues? I've been sticking with the M4 but haven't really tried the MK18.

Was the map Sinjar? (The map where Security has to climb the cliff to get up to the sites) If so then yeah I was talking about that round.
How the fuck are Security forces even suppose to win that map when the objectives don't bug? They have to run up the cliff to even defend it while Insurgents just have to take a short walk.
lots of smoke
Also is there a wiki or guide or something that has charts for DPS or recoil rankings or something for the weapons?

Edit: nevermind

statistically they are the same exact gun. the only difference you are getting is the iron sights, really. the mk18 has fatter sights which imo make it a lot easier to aim with, especially out at a distance, and the m4's is just too tight to really use because it's too far away and too hard to stay focused on

i've never had a problem with sinjar with objectives bugging in strike other than the absurd run you have to make as security although i've noticed the cache on bravo (the center building) has a really weird hitbox on it. instead of being a normal hitbox it's only surfaced on top, aka you have to literally "drop" your explosive on top of it or otherwise the splash damage will never destroy it
Earlier someone was discussing a bug where the cache didn't explode, I think it was Peak or Heights? I ran into it today. I was playing Skirmish and ended upon Peak, threw three grenades at the fucking thing, someone else launched an RPG at it, jack shit happened.
Really though, it just makes a shitty map even worse.
