yeah that's more towards your end. you aren't playing pvp modes are you? that would often be the cause of such nonsense, as it's where all the cod kiddies hang out.

Is there a way to just play co-op with just a friend and me apart from finding an empty co-op server in the list?
start a party click play, select cooperative, choose your preferred mode, voila.
start a party click play, select cooperative, choose your preferred mode, voila.
We did that then we were put into a full match.
well then that's the game's fault.
I started playing this a while back & its by far one of the best games Ive played to be honest. In fact, if it only had an AMD-65, Id say its THE best game Ive ever played!
update today from what i see, new knife for insurgents, some new animations, stability fixing, and the custom maps tell and station were finally added into the base rotation.
News Post [t]http://i.imgur.com/BP41BBT.jpg[/t]
Introducing InsurgenZ Well, we said we wouldn’t do it… but due to popular demand, today we introduce InsurgenZ, a coop mode where you must repel undead knife-wielding insurgents that miraculously can run just as fast as they were living. As for a back story and legitimate excuse to kill zombies… You wake up from a coma, naked of course, and while you were knocked out, ISIS parachuted in millions of undead insurgents. Put on some socks and KILL THEM ALL. Then deploy back to the combat zone and seek revenge against regular insurgents. But wait! It turns out the insurgents were zombies all along! That’s the plot twist, and we’re sticking to it. This mode was invented by Mike Hawk, a community member who has created numerous maps for Insurgency. Mikee will be livestreaming today at 7pm EST on our official Insurgency Twitch channel[twitch.tv] to show you InsurgenZ in action and discuss with Mike Hawk about what sparked the brilliant inspiration for zombies in Insurgency. Why the shift in our design direction? It’s a no-brainer (pun intended) if we are going to be taken seriously by the games press and achieve immense popularity to earn the respect of this industry, zombies are a must. i wouldnt mind killing some isis zombies though there are some custom servers that tried to make a zombie wave type of thing but they're not that great.

april fools oh... they're serious [editline]1st April 2015[/editline] the game mode is actually really fucking terrible. on top of that, servers can't force custom content so if you want to play it you have to manually subscribe to the mod to get the zombie skins and sounds. otherwise it's just normal insurgency infiltration had a zombie mod and it was great solely because the game was so clunky you often just got demolished by zombies not because you were outnumbered but because you forgot how to switch your magazines out. this game's zombie mode is literally the zombie mod for counter-strike i'm all for new game modes and features but it really grinds my gears that they just disregard the adversarial gamemode and pretend it doesn't exist when that's where the game shines [editline]1st April 2015[/editline] the average insurgency player plays the game for maybe a total of six hours (and that's being generous) before never playing the game ever again. the co-op is incredibly stale and a zombie gamemode will hardly revitalize it. the game just doesn't sit well with most people the returning customers are the adversarial players who log hundreds of hours in to the game. not the co-op people that only play it once a month. they play the game consistently and they're the ones that want updates. everyone else ask for more game modes and guns and whatever else but they don't even play the game and they won't hardly play it even if what they request gets added, but because they make up a larger majority the rest of us get shat on. I get that the majority vote will always win, but how come we still have almost no custom theater support and how come we don't have the ability to make our own game modes like TDM?

Also the last few patches have not coincided with major sales events, which is the top driver in sales and player activity. If we have a major content update, Valve is more likely to promote us. Also we would like to do another free weekend, when the timing is right and many of the gaping holes have been filled (i.e. competitive system). The later of the two major release milestones is going to focus on player retention. The next major update will still be focusing on content, but also a shift in the playlist system. I've written about it before, but in short, there will be 5 playlists each catering to a gameplay style. Three are multiplayer: Sustained Combat (wave-based modes), Tactical Ops (objective-based reinforcement and one-life modes), and 5v5 Competitive (also implementing Strike and Ambush for this on top of Firefight). Then there will be two Coop playlists (Elite, which is more restricted and realistic load outs; and Hardcore, which gives you more choice in kit). This playlist system will also help immensely with total conversion mods that can release as a custom playlist in the Workshop. We have some game mode additions (especially Coop) and changes coming too. There's a lot of backend stuff to deal with, which is why the competitive ladder and challenge systems are taking a long time. Plus we are redesigning the entire game menu UI that will coincide. It will help with finding or creating the gameplay experience you are looking for. So overall, the game has been successful thus far to provide the updates we've already released and continue working on building the game and community over this year. The response from our audience (best indicated in Steam reviews) is reaffirming. We are beginning to see a few major mods starting to emerge that will inevitably bring in more players. For example, InsurgenZ mod, the SOCOM mod, Mud & Blood WWII mod, and another unannounced that enhances the tactical side of the game. Also, we are in preproduction and prototype phase for a new Insurgency game with a new engine, new environment, new conflict era, and it's going to be ♥♥♥♥ing epic. It will fulfill many of the wishes people have for this game, but where we've hit roadblocks with Source. Basically, we are building a new Insurgency game from the ground up with current and future technology to take a leap forward, rather than play catch up like the current game is doing.
I'm hoping for Yugoslavia or Chechnya But chances are that isn't going to happen
I'm hoping for the Great Emu War
Now that Tripwire probably won't make another Red Orchestra for a long time, if ever, it's good to see that someone is developing games that have a unique mixture of realism and arcade gameplay elements.
Whatever it is, I hope there is some support for 32v32 battles.
I hope it will have an actually working squad/fireteam system. The current one is just a bad joke.
Insurgency Hardline
Insurgency Hardline
That would actually be kinda cool. I can imagine something similar to SWAT 4s multiplayer
I just hope it's one of the more interesting options from the poll, I'll be thoroughly disappointed if it's ww2 or something
Just as long that they keep 3d scopes and semi-free aim, I'm chill. And remove the mp40, it just doesn't fit.
That would actually be kinda cool. I can imagine something similar to SWAT 4s multiplayer
swat team will still be exploiting the godmode mp5k
You guys should check out the SOCOM mod for this, it's an absolute blast to play and there's one server that's constantly packed. Honestly the most fun I've had with a shooter in a while.
Y'all should play on the 18 player PvE sernix server, great custom theater as long as you don't get spawnkilled by a suicide bomber

my biggest beef with socom is that a lot of people use third party player textures and so they can see you across the map even if you're hiding in a bush and shit. it's annoying enough when people do that on normal insurgency, but given that with socom you can see through cover and shit it makes it extremely difficult to stay concealed for very long. server admins need to force the whitelist so that nothing custom can be used imo otherwise it's great
I'd love a game like this set in the Yugo wars, or the russian war in afghanistan
