:yarr:
Here's a scenario that I downloaded off a RCT Megathread that I'm having fun trying to do (RCT2):
No Rides, No Stalls, No Loans, Max Hunger, Max Thirst, No theming, No toilets, Smallest Map Size, Minimum Happiness, Rollercoasters Only.

"No Rides" "Rollercoasters only"
You may struggle a little there...
I love rollercoaster tycoon 2, i've had it on every pc or laptop ive owned!!
had it since i was 13, in 2003
RCT3 is so broken, block brakes function as boosters if you set it to a higher speed then the speed of the train, not complaining though because it's very useful.

Also no landscape changes, rainy weather setting and I have to buy every square of land.
It's really damn fun.
I feel like an idiot but how do I get land outside of the initial fenced-in area in RCT1?
I'm torn between RCT2 & RCT3 when it comes to actual "Grand Ride Designs". Both of them can create the perfect feeling.
I recall a park I downloaded where there was a rollercoaster that was built around a mountain temple and had the ride go off this temple that was on this mountain and plunge straight into a pool following a waterfall, it was "epic" in the literal sense.
RCT3 I found it easier to make Grand Designs, but I find that you can't get that level of true "Epic" due to the scenery and it's cartoony style, but you could still make some pretty damn awesome rides, especially with some custom lighting and props. (plus the sandbox mode helped a lot as you said)
RC1 is best at scenarios, RC3 is best at dicking around, RC2 is best at importing rc1 scenarios and playing them in that game because the UI is better

RCT1 has the best scenarios.
Coasters in RCT3 feel a lot smoother than any of the others, I find.

They seem slow.
They seem slow.
I kind of prefer it that way, coasters in RCT1/2 looked way too fast and it made me scared to try out more complicated track layouts in case it got too intense.

Don't you click on the park entrance and then click the buy land button? You can then select the land that you want to buy, if there's any available for sale.
It's been a while since I played RCT1, but I think it's something like that.
Does someone know how to build scenery over pits?
Does someone know how to build scenery over pits?
Uhh... scenery first, then lower ground? :v:
[editline]10th April 2012[/editline]
Installed RCT3
Why is the bloom so strong :v:
Does someone know how to build scenery over pits?
RCT2? Hold shift and raise it.
RCT3? Hold shift and raise it.
RCT1? You're fucked.
RCT1? You're fucked.
You could raise the land, build the scenery on top of it then lower it again?
Way more expensive but that's the only workaround I can think of.
Wouldn't that lower the scenery with it?
Not always.......?

I know, but problem is that the pit is too deep to see the bottom.

And here, ladies and gentlemen, is the main problem with isometric.

Wouldn't enabling "underground view" fix that?
Wouldn't enabling "underground view" fix that?
It would still be incredibly difficult for it to work.
Ahhhh... RCT. It was probably my most played PC game when I was a young lad that didn't know how good PC gaming would become.
I remember never letting my guests leave. If they tried to leave, I would just pick them up and drown them.
I just removed the sidewalk :v:
I put up a sign and made it say no entry.
Some scenarios the damn guests just wouldn't stay :v:
i remember first time i played rct (or was it theme park?) i made a huge empty concrete square and charged an entry fee of $75

Unfortunately when I play RCT3 on my laptop I can't pan the camera up or down :(

Change the camera type to Advanced or Freelook in the options.

I sort of want to play the game again, but not with the default scenarios. Are there any good custom ones?
