Reinstalled RC2. Now, is there a sandbox scenario somewhere? I just want to mess around.

Just picked this up again, good lord I am so bad at coasters. They're all either excitement - 3 or nausea - 8 with about 5 lateral Gs. Read through the toot oriole in the OP, I'll be sure to try to stop my visitors from breaking every bone in their body. [editline]1st May 2012[/editline] oh mah lawd ten thousand posts gawd bless
I have 3 installed, cant find my copy of 2, i lost my copy of one years ago due to it being scratched so much, i like two the best i think, mind you i never really played much of 3
I was playing rct2 earlier and one of my merry-go-rounds broke down, and it started spinning really really fast and shaking all over, and the music was 3 times faster. it took like 2 minutes for a mechanic to even get to it It was the best thing [editline]28th April 2012[/editline] I'm surprised it didnt fly away or something, it really looked like it would
I know this happens once a game. Wish it happened more often. Wish there was a trainer function for it or something.
nice tame rollercoaster
Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 with mod support. Hnnng
Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 with mod support. Hnnng
[sp]Steam workshop also[/sp] I wonder if they ever will though, not that I mind if they don't considering the existing ones are so highly replayable.
I dunno, Roller Coaster Tycoon 3's missions are monotonously easy or painstakingly annoying. They never get you to make any roller coasters over 7 or so excitement which is fucking easy (if you can't do that you can still choose from pre made designs), but some missions require you to make a bullshit amount of shop profit which you're limited by guests not even paying for higher prices you you've gotta half resort to luck on those goals.

Also, how do you build coasters through the ground in RCT3?
I hate it when I try to re-create a real life roller coaster into the game, ended up being highly accurate but the intensity and nausea rating goes wild.
Also, how do you build coasters through the ground in RCT3?
Build your ride into a cliff wall (needs Soaked or Wild) (there's an ingame tutorial for that) or use Options.txt cheats (specifically AttractionSceneryAllowTerrainIntersect 1). The last method does not create tunnels, so you're riding through the ground. To create tunnels without rides, build terrain blocks (come with Soaked) underground.
I miss the days of drowning people :saddowns:
Oh god, hope I am not late but look at this : http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/rollercoaster_tycoon_3 RCT 3 + the 2 Expansion Pack at 20$, 10$ less than Steam + for people like me (European), it is only 15€. GOG doesn't convert their price like Steam.

lol, I got my copy of RCT3 for $5 at Gamestop
They're called expansion packs.
The world is truly nearing disaster, when no one knows that word from DLC...
oh boo fucking hoo, he used a word that can be used in lieu of another word.
oh boo fucking hoo, he used a word that can be used in lieu of another word.
No need to get angry... DLC stands for Downloadable Content. RCT3 has none of that unless you're a scurvy pirate. The word cannot be used in lieu of another and doing so is rape of the language. Dim people practice this casually until Mammal equals Cat. Perhaps a grammar lesson and a thesarus for you? There are different words for simmilar objects because a difference yet remains. Otherwise, they are naturally erased. Shakespeare knew this, Tolkien knew this. They play with words because they earned the right to treat them as toys by doing so with care and respect. I see none of that here. Don't fuck with them casually.
The world is truly nearing disaster, when no one knows that word from DLC...
Well it actually expanded on the game, and was released physically. So I don't think it was purely downloadable.
Well it actually expanded on the game, and was released physically. So I don't think it was purely downloadable.
I never said it was. I just expressed sadness that out youth are unaware of the existence of physical expansion packs. And linguistic ability... People with short fuse got pissy about it... Yelled words they don't understand.
What I've done... Can we stop derailing cause I used the word DLC instead of Expansion Pack because I was really lazy to search the good word since I'm French and DLC was the only one in my mind... Now go back to RCT.

It was meant on a broader tendency, not you personally. So. If fatalities are impossible in RCT3, What happens instead? I vaguely remember them just bouncing around.

I wonder if fatality is something that can be modded into RCT3. The James Hunt cheat would be so much more fun.

I'm not raping the english language by saying "DLC" instead of "Expansion Pack", and, you're also calling me dumb for the same reason? reeeeal mature there, bucko.

What the hell dude? Calm down. The original correction wasn't meant as an insult to the guy, but disappointment with a trend. The fact that he turned out to be a man with english as secondary language is comforting. Gives him an excuse that many native speakers don't have. Some of them, politicians who seek to lead... [editline]3rd May 2012[/editline] I spend a long post explaining my reason for correction and you take personal offence? calm down, mate. I was just pointing at the usual origin of misuse of words, uneducated people who don't bother to learn the meaning of those words they flail about. [editline]3rd May 2012[/editline]
They fly around like a motherfucker then fall, and stand up like nothing happened.
So if one was to do the old "One straight path, 900 guests and a rollercoaster without end, fixed on that path.", you'd have the ultimate techno-fest?
