According to Wikipedia, there's a Roller Coaster Tycoon for the 3DS? The fuck?
According to Nintendo Power it sucked ass (It got a score of 5.5)
disappointed, was thinking of getting it.
Lost it at the 2 guys saying they don't got a rollercoaster :v:
In other news, Chris Sawyer said he was working on a 'thrilling project' with Frontier Developments
YES YES YES
RC4 YEAAAH

Hope it's not too thrilling for us :v:
You folks know how C&C Generals 2 is being made on the Frostbite 2 engine, right?
Oh you just know what I've been thinking about recently.
What, destructible scenery?
Actually, YES
Send a Rollercoaster at some scenery, it falls down onto guests killing them all.
They should expand on the accidents feature. Like make it so guests around the accident go into panic mode and they run in different directions (even straying off the paths)

And flashlight warfare.
First thing I did after reinstalling RCT3.

Or mass depression. Dismemberment and mental scars for life as well. Some of them could become child-murderers in panda-suits because the entertainer kept dancing to keep people calm. He'd hate the children for laughing when his parents lay splattered on the ground.

Am I the only one who never cared about crashing shit? Not saying it's bad or anything, but I see everyone talking about it, and then pics of parks with rides spammed on top of eachother and I think it's a crazy waste. Nobody else likes to play these games to make a fucking amazing park?
I usually start messing around after I've finished building my park,as it gets boring after that

Or a spiritual successor or whatever, either way!
Keep in mind those twitter posts were from last May. Also, there was a thread started on Frontier Development's forums around the same time asking about the new rollercoaster game, check it out.

And on Atari's forums, the community manager had this to say.
These changes do sound like they would get annoying, especially with the forums just being closed without being communicated. I will definitely check out ShyGuy's World. As for RCT4, unfortunately this is something I don't have much information on. I know there are currently no plans to make an RCT4, but obviously, that could change. I would say keep requesting it and hopefully it will be in our plans for the future at some point. I am rooting for it too!
Still some very exciting news, glad to hear that they're making something like RTC again.

Yer doing it wrong.
You shouldn't have the last straight part.

Some guys from Frontier gave a talk at my uni the other week, kind of wish I'd gone to it now.
I just realised that Wooden Coasters have high intensities.
I'm not sure if I want to reinstall RCT3 simply because I know I'm going to end up DLing a ton of mods for it, thus screwing my hard drive.

RCT3 is amazing with custom stuff

I know, then you make a couple of rollercoasters in Sandbox and get bored and deinstall.
I'm legitimately enjoying RCT3 atm. I know it's way different to the previous ones but it's been so long since I've played the first two that going back to that layout is hard. I can understand where you guys come from where you guys hate RCT3 cause of the layout cause I'm finding it difficult to go to the other layout.

The box art looks awful
Where can I dl this wonderful thing again?
I finally aquired the first two RCT's. The isometric view and no coaster cam is hard to get used to building good coasters.

The terrain is less... finnicky, though.

I think he just got tired of game design.
It's been so long since I played RCT2. All I can remember about it is that one of the wooden prebuilt coasters killed 12 people.

I think that was in a park in the RCT1 expansion.
There was this park with a large wooden rollercoaster as main prebuilt ride and I think there was a suburban neighbourhood outside the park. I remember selling the rollercoaster or setting it to 1 car because the ride would inevitably crash in about 25 minutes gametime.

What do you mean?
