When i played Rollercoaster tycoon 2, the title pretty much said what i did the entire game, then failing cause i hired too many Entertainers
You guys make me feel stupid, it's like I'm the only person in the world who actually does the objectives to make guests happy and builds roller coasters to see how good they turn out. ;_;
Oi, I do that too.
Well I spend shitloads of time on it. I'm trying to break 10 excitement on a coaster, I'm not very good at making them
You guys make me feel stupid, it's like I'm the only person in the world who actually does the objectives to make guests happy and builds roller coasters to see how good they turn out. ;_;
I did this once. It was a disaster for humanity :smith:
Oh dear.... im reinstalling now. Thanks Facepunch
What do you mean?
You could make the land flatter than a Nic Cage character and paths still wouldn't bloody connect because of a millimetre difference in height that wouldn't be picked up on.
I finally aquired the first two RCT's. The isometric view and no coaster cam is hard to get used to building good coasters.
I actually find it easier to build good roller coasters in the 2D RCTs than the third one for some reason.
You guys make me feel stupid, it's like I'm the only person in the world who actually does the objectives to make guests happy and builds roller coasters to see how good they turn out. ;_;
I never actively set out to cause crashes and would focus on park building, but if one happened because I fucked up a design it was a nice bonus. Also this park inspired so many crappy parks trying to imitate it from me: He had a massive thread on the Atari forums showing his progress from the start right up to where the park was so big it didn't load and he had to abandon the project. I tried looking for it, but it seems to have vanished. If anyone finds it, post it. It's a long read but really awesome.
Speaking of parks on the atari forums Anybody remember ShyGuy's Wonderworld?

Edit Nevermind it was a joke as said a few posts below on the thread
help. How do I not go into debt right away?
Set the cost of umbrellas to £20 a piece On a serious note, you'll be surprised how high you can set the prices of stuff. And don't forget to set the price of chips to 30p and the price of drinks to £5. You can guess why
I have no idea how I used to pass missions without raising the cost of things to exorbitant prices.
Yeah. In the Mega Park scenario I downloaded for RCT2, I had to eventually set the entry price to £120 and people kept coming in. The only stipulation in that scenario was that all the rides had to be free. I could only adjust the entrance fee and the store prices To be honest, it's fairly realistic. The default price of burgers in RCT for example was around £1.50. If you go to Alton Towers you'll expect to pay £3 for the equivalent
Am I the only one who didn't like RCT3? I liked first person mode but it just didn't feel the same.
There seems to be a whole hate wagon on it, I love it. 3D view, Coaster Cam, more rollercoasters makes me happy
Am I the only one who didn't like RCT3? I liked first person mode but it just didn't feel the same.
I love it, but some things are bad, like the removal of killing people.
I love it, but some things are bad, like the removal of killing people.
RCT3 makes up for it by the really goofy physics.
Also holy fucking shit You can do the second half of the overbanked curve the other way in a floorless coaster so it's an inversion. It looks fucking awesome in coaster cam [editline]14th May 2012[/editline]
I have no idea how I used to pass missions without raising the cost of things to exorbitant prices.
As a guide I always raised rides in $ equal to their excitement rounded down to the nearest 0.10. It always worked for me
Thread revive Bragging again, this is the highest excitement I've got in a coaster
The peep models were unbearably and inexcusably undetailed. I'm never been a graphics whore ever but that shit was just retarded. The fact that everyone had the same damn face with the same shiteating grin,despite the peep's actual emotions, was terrible.

I wonder if ENB will function nicely to RCT3
Mmm I love that pier level, you could drown everyone and it was so easy just a little flick of the wrist and I still get those safest park awards. Maybe that's how I build the pillars for my rides I just use the support of the bloated corpses of old handymen who forgot to water all two hundred flowers in my park and the brick buildings were so nice looking it was unbelievable.
Thread revive Bragging again, this is the highest excitement I've got in a coaster
Haha, man I managed to get a 25 intensity on a RCT2 wooden coaster. I'm currently doing the intermediate park where you have to keep your rating above 700, but jesus it's hard as shit. How do I keep the rating levels up? [editline]21st May 2012[/editline]
If you get the mod for entrance fee + ride cost and rct1 scenarios in rct2, then rct2 is infinitely better. The scenery creation was so damn fun.
Any fine gentleman know where said mods can be found?
I'm currently doing the intermediate park where you have to keep your rating above 700, but jesus it's hard as shit. How do I keep the rating levels up?
You need: -Good rides (plenty of them so theres no unhappy guests from waiting in lines for ages, you can change this by making super long stations with heaps of trains) -Lots of stalls of every type to make sure theres no unhappy guests, includes toilets etc -A CLEAN park, make sure theres shitloads of janitors that are highly trained and paid extra, also chuck bins everywhere -You'll also want heaps of mechanics to boost ride uptime, and entertainers to keep guests even happier They're pretty much the basics, I've reached 700 park rating without hassle
