I was down in my basement a few days ago and I think I spotted my old CD of it.
GOG.com, you guys. GOG. http://www.gog.com/gamecard/rollercoaster_tycoon_deluxe http://www.gog.com/gamecard/rollercoaster_tycoon_2
What map was it?
I think it was just a large grass field, it wasn't a scenario.
I think it was just a large grass field, it wasn't a scenario.
In that case, sounds like "Build your own Six Flags". Personally I never liked that because the terrain was completely flat (felt bland and maybe even a bit ugly to me) except the lake in the middle and even with the huge loan you were allowed you could hardly do any major landscaping with the limited tool without probably spending hours.
You can use a hex editor to get it to 720p. http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/RollerCoaster_Tycoon:_Gold#Widescreen_hack Since I've got a copy to work again, would anyone mind me doing an lp/AAr kind of thing with some scenarios?
Any way to get it higher than 720p?
Any way to get it higher than 720p?
I just ran it in virtualbox... I believe it stretches the guest's screen when you maximize the vm window, so you could sort of get 1080p (I'm guessing that's what you're shooting for). But even asking for 720p out of a game that was build for windows 9.x is... well... asking a lot, don't you think? Even though it is an excellent game.
hello, just saw this thread I don't know what the general opinion is for RCT3, but I actually really like it, how about you guys?
I really like the waterparks dlc for it. RCT3 is good, it just takes a bit of getting used to

It's a simple engine, I'm sure someone could figure out how to mod it to hell and back.
hello, just saw this thread I don't know what the general opinion is for RCT3, but I actually really like it, how about you guys?
In terms of gameplay, it was the best but I just can't ever prefer the 3D over the sprite graphics of the original.
I wish RCT3 was easier to mod custom shops in (hell, I wish it was easier to mod for) all my models ended up having the lighting inverted and never got past the model testing phase because of that :( [editline]8th July 2013[/editline] also, I never tried modding RCT or RCT2, are they any easier?

Not an actual scenario or something.
Any way to get it higher than 720p?
You could potentially change the hex values you put in there to get a higher resolution, but it has a 99.99% chance of crashing.
I keep trying to beat Trinity Islands loaded onto RCT2 but for some reason, my guests run out of cash and leave, making the number of guests I have plateau around mid year 2. Any ideas on how to combat this?
And changing those HEX values didn't work for my GOG edition, it uses somehow modified .exe and those strings are missing.
And changing those HEX values didn't work for my GOG edition, it uses somehow modified .exe and those strings are missing.
Hm. Maybe google can help out more than I can, cause I can't.
Two options, one, ATMs, two, put do not enter signs in front of the park exit.
But wont a do not enter sign at the front of the park drive my rating way down because of all the people that "want to go home"?

Any ideas on how to combat this?
I'm not sure what entry ticket prices do to visitor numbers, but I could imagine making a park with a moderately-high entry fee and free rides. You could rely on entry fees and food/drinks to keep your finances afloat while relying on the free rides to keep your guests lingering as long as possible. I would also run advertising campaigns for the park as much as possible.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/HEqL7QI.jpg[/t] My waterpark, started on 2.5k

[editline]9th July 2013[/editline] Oh and remove rides that aren't as popular as the others.
Ideas for mods please
support for screen dimensions up to at least 1080p
Oh and remove rides that aren't as popular as the others.
The more rides you have in the park, the more guests come in. I try to just drive the price down. Usually when a $1.50 ferris wheel is losing profit, I just drop the price down to $0.50 and guests flock to it.
support for screen dimensions up to at least 1080p
Heres how to 1080p bbe Go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Atari\RCT3 Change the resolution in options to Resolution 1920 1080 or add it ty ty i know im great.
I think he was talking about RCT
oh... :(
