Is there a way to set handymen to not mow grass by default in RCT1?
Is there a way to set handymen to not mow grass by default in RCT1?
Nope, you have to do it manually. RCT2 fixed this however.
Nope, you have to do it manually. RCT2 fixed this however.
No mods or whatever?
I can't fucking install RCT3, every time I get to installing soaked it tells me to use the RCT3 disk to uninstall soaked and RCT3, something I've done several times. I've even scoured my registry for any trace of soaked and removed them all and still the same. I looked on google but any solutions always point to a defunct forum that doesn't exist anymore.
No mods or whatever?
Not that I know of.
Nearly 3000 people in my park and I have too much money [t]http://i.imgur.com/1qzpmK1.jpg[/t]

Is RCT3 patched?
Is RCT3 patched?
IT's just from a standard RCT3 disk, I've installed it this way several times. RCT3, soaked, patch.
Can guests just warp out of the park in 3? I had set up a huge slide and waiting area peeps couldn't leave, but the number of people in the park still went down
i remember playing whichever of the first two that had the corkscrew follies expansion pack at my grandpa's house. she later lost the disc and started playing farmville :c then i "borrowed" (never returned) my brother's copies of both rct3 and the movies. the soaked expansion pack is insanely fun, but everyone flocks to the pools instead of the rides... i used to make themed sections in sandbox mode, which the peeps could go to either via monorail or path (minus the "pirate island" which was only accessed via monorail or swan boats).

Maybe you could set the swan boat and monorail prices insanely high once people are on the island :v:

If anybody cares, RCT3 Platinum is $5 on steam right now. Flash sale.
RCT1 Deluxe and RCT2 Triple Thrill are both still on sale on GOG too, but only for about another day and a half.
RCT1 Deluxe and RCT2 Triple Thrill are both still on sale on GOG too, but only for about another day and a half.
I have no idea how many damn copies i have of that game by now! I have so many cheap hard copies, because whenever i saw a cheap edition of RCT 1 and 2, i was like "Holy shit, it's RCT! BETTER BUY IT BEFORE IT'S GONE!" ... I think i have five or more! And thats not counting all the digital copies i have all over the web somewhere! :v:
Gross, if any of you are going to post RCT3 screenshots, then at least put down some scenery before taking it! All that flat land is nasty.

gonna bump this thread with a coaster i've been making
Here's a tut that I made out of pure boredom, but I hope it is helpful. Not sure how to do this on the older games since I haven't played them in like 5 years.
I've always been wondering what it would take to make project for RCT/2, sort of the same thing as OpenTTD. Just a rough guesstimate, where would one start? [editline]10th February 2014[/editline] I haven't really been able to stop thinking about it ever since i made my post about what sort of improvements could really do RCT a great favor.

You may have to effectively build RCT again from the ground up.

It comes with alot of '256' limits too. I just wish a project like that would be taken on by some more enthusiastic programmer/modders. I mean, OpenTTD seems like a damn busy community. Every time you download their latest version, you think there's probably not much left to patch and all. Nonetheless, they keep tampering and tinkering with the SMALLEST of details! Despite this being close to impossible due to legal reason, i'd love to pay my way to a proper "OpenRCT" game.
Does anyone remembers killing people with a freefall ride?
Does anyone remembers killing people with a freefall ride?
I'm almost certain that was a part of some park objectives ...
I made a half-assed attempt at something. Some sort of ... Well, i don't know, a semi-train-station-something! Don't mind the weird image crop.

I still play this game quite a bit, its up there with Simcity 3000. 12 years since I first played RCT/RCT2 and it still holds up. I think I got my moneys worth.
