I love how this has slowly become a Planet Coaster General.
Over the last few weeks the only thing RCT:W has released is this.

That coaster building tool looks quite rad
Holy fuck Planet Coaster is going to blow RCTW out of the water. That building construction is exactly what I was hoping RCT:W would be. I know what I'm leaning towards for sure
Hope this will end up like Cities Skylines, as a RCT killer !
why can't we have 2 great games with something different to offer?
i applied for a job at frontier actually (they said no :,()
why can't we have 2 great games with something different to offer?
Why? Because at this point, it looks like Atari is not competent to create great game. RCTW will most likely be quite flat game with quite a lot of missing features. It also looks like PC will just have impressive simulation systems...
I want both to succeed though.
I want both to succeed though.
I used to, but seeing Atari´s behaviour (censorship on the forums, sponsored articles and that they are not even willing to honestly tell us what is in the game), I just wish this game turns our rly bad and that it will finaly kill Atari. I hate their attitude so much that I am more than happy to sacrifice RollerCoaster brand if it means Atari will be gone... Yea, a bit cruel, but they don´t deserve to survive.
So, gentleman.
I went to the RCTW forum and i had a account there for quite a while and i have been a active poster for some time there. Recently i made a thread about Planet Coaster and the users started to compare its features from one and another.
Me and some others went on to compare the coaster designer for example and we praised the planet coaster designer because it feels like you have a lot more control with your coasters compared to the clunky RCTW one, i wrote everything perfectly nice and i was always happy to hear what the pro-RCTW people had to say and so a few discussions got out from that. Eventually one of the most active members of the forum came into the thread and started to shit everywhere claiming that Planet Coaster is never going to be finished and how basically RCT:W will win because of its RCT legacy alone (let me remind you that Planet Coaster is made by Frontier who in turn exists out of a few developers from RCT1/2 and after forming the company made RCT3) while RCTW is being made by a very fresh company who seems to have made no games so far or at least according to their page.
Now all this time i always stayed pretty sober about the whole subject and this went on for about 2 days till the point i made a post that would silent the guy, i composed a long post with a comparison of what Frontier has done and what Nvizzio has done so far plus what the RCT1/2/3 community wanted the most, took me a long time to make and eventually after posting the list, even TWO people where PRO-RCTW agreed with my little post, not in a obvious manner but sure they could not think of a way to still kick Planet Coaster because they made the mistake to buy RCT:W for 60 euro.
The following day i was greeted with this:

One fucking year long ban.
obviously though bashing a game and effectively promoting another game over it in the games official forums can never end well
One fucking year long ban.
Eh i'm sure you'll be able to survive without those RCTW worshiping scrubs anyway. There's a fine line between having a reasonable discussion about two things and flaming while pushing their thing as the better one
obviously though bashing a game and effectively promoting another game over it in the games official forums can never end well
Reread the post please. I was not bashing the game at all, like i said i was always explaining everything in a good manner without directly bashing the game as i was giving advice and so on and i was positive about RCTW as well.

- They are aiming to add flatrides which you can fully customize in terms of colour, ride sequence, queue wait times, fence types and lightning so every flatride would look different even if you put two of the same type next to each other.
- Que lines are probably going to be adjustable in terms of max wait time, how they look/feel and how wide they are.
- Interior rides are considered but they are not sure they are going to be able to add it in its initial release (perhaps this will be added as DLC/Expansion? -Veger)
- The engine will allow a lot of guests in the park but like RCT 2 and 3 its going to be difficult to attract guests.
- You can share amusement rides and coaster layouts with other members.
- Coasters and rides are based on real world rides.
- To quote on the question of "Will there be custom content?"
With Planet Coaster, we're offering user-generated content in the box. We'll be providing you with hundreds of individual decorative components that you can use in the modular building system to create some truly spectacular and unique things. By doing this, we'll provide you with creative options that you've never had before to create your perfect park.
It seems he is dodging this question a little bit, perhaps there won't be support to add custom scenery? Which would be a damn shame.
- The name "Planet Coaster" is because you can build your theme parks all over the world in different locations and settings.
- A question about fireworks arises and he basically responds that they have a massive list of features that they wish to add to the game but will happen after its initial release, he states the wants to create the best theme park builder out there.
- There will be missions/campaigns!
- Not every flat ride can be customized in terms of how it completey looks. You can however always change the ticket booth and entrance/exist (separate?).
For those only curious about custom content, he is a bit doding that question by saying how the team will create loads of objects for us to play with and never directly tells us that custom scenery will be possible. Custom music/images is something on the to-do list but probably won't make it to the initial release.
Yeah. They have a product to sell. Would you be suprised that you would get asked to leave when holding friendly and lengthy discussions about how the food is more fresh in the Jumbo while standing in a Lidl supermarket?
It is still the wrong way to just ban someone for a year for it.

I got 24 hours ban for saying that their recent stream didn´t answer much :D
when I posted this, they silently deleted the post. So I posted again and added small hint that my post mysteriously dissapeared. Then I was contacted by moderator JMR that my post isnt good enough and that I should edit it. I told him that I will not do that and that I disagree with deleting posts without notice, coz that´s pure censorship. I told him I would consider editing the post if he at least contacted me for the first time, instead of silently censor my posts...
It was stated many times that if your post is deleted, you should recieve a notification with a reason. It didn´t happen, they tried to do it silently without stating the reason, hoping that I will not notice.
Censorship on that forum rly exist... That´s pathetic and they are digging their grave. Censorship just makes people think that something must be wrong...

is there any way to appeal the ban?
Just make an alt, if they won't respect you, no need to respect their rules.
Why even bother coming back??
Anyone got some good park ideas? :V
Anyone got some good park ideas? :V
A park where everything must be elevated/on stilts, only supported by raising the ground if absolutely necessary.
Anyone got some good park ideas? :V
Park taken up entirely by 1 roller coaster that fills as much 3d space as possible and isn't a Mr. Bones clone.
I just want the option for coasters to have separate loading and unloading zones like all the roller coasters that disney world/land has

cant you already do that in the rct games? by making two different stations and setting the entrance at one and exit at the other
unless if you mean an option specifically designed to fulfill that function
cant you already do that in the rct games? by making two different stations and setting the entrance at one and exit at the other
you... you can?
you... you can?
i havent played them in a while but i distinctly remember that being possible in rct3
you... you can?
I thought you could build multiple groups of stations on one track, although I've never tried it.
you... you can?
What are you even talking about? You're going to need both an entrance and an exit for a ride to operate normally, so Im not sure what are you even saying.

I think he means that the coaster train would arrive at a station platform that is dedicated for peeps to leave the ride and that the empty train then rolls on to the next station platform which is then dedicated to peeps getting on.
This can be done through a trick in RCT2 and in RCT3 this is fully compatibly.

I see, but I remember it was possible to do this in RCT2 without any tricks however, at least with the bobsleigh coaster.

Hm perhaps it was RCT1 where you have to do it.

Holy shit that is a great design. This made me hope that PC had just as much if not, more, building decoration to choose from.
