wait, what?
Some kind of mod/trainer, allows super speed on rides.
From what I've poked around, no way. You can make it windowed and make the window take up most of your screen, though.
Also, anyone else think there should be a higher zoom level?
How'd you get it to run windowed?
I just experienced my first crash, from not making the end of a shuttle-launcher tall enough.
If they didn't want me to crash shit they wouldn't have made the explosions so awesome

it's in the options
Found my old box of RCT2, installing as we speak. Do I need to use Windows XP SP2 mode and run as admin to get it to work on W7?
EDIT:

Is this bad?
EDIT2: Well, I booted up the game and tried playing the first scenario and I immediately CTD'd.
There was a Let's Play of RCT last year sometime. I remember the thread being pretty awesome so I'll try and dig up a link.
Hah, found something in my Dropbox related to it. Some doofus was using wide paths everywhere and not listening to why he shouldn't. Dumb pic of dumb trolling but hey, it's content.

That's "Optimistic", a fairly decent Mine Ride I made. RCT2 only I think.
Aha!
Really great LP thread uncovered: Let's Play: Rollercoaster Tycoon 'Poor Man's Edition' (ITT: Nostalgia AND MANY PICTURES)
Link it in the OP please!
I really hope that this comes to steam.
Hey guys, remember those really red emoticoned guests? Those looking like they wanted to murder someone? Turns out it's very similar to that, they're pretty rare and will demolish everything in their path.

I also remember my little brother playing this, 7 at the time, this was recently out and his winning strategy to win the first campaign over and over again was to loan a bunch of money and when he went in debt he just started over.
Bought RC3 off steam. Having 1 toilet building and setting it to $0.50 to use makes a lot of dosh.
Well I had a look back on the old thread and saw that I was supposed to do Good Knight Park.
To hell with that, I'mma finish Arid hights and give ya'll the vote.
RCT2 was my childhood, and my Parks were pretty shit.
Also I drowned anyone who was having a bad time.
I just realized I have issues.
I want a reboot with RCT1 style graphics,I liked that for some reason.
Company value is Park Value + Cash - Loan.
Just throwing that out there.
Between RCT1 and 2, which one is better for just free play? Scenarios don't matter to me.

RCT1's fun for the challenge and RCT2 gives more roller coaster building freedom. Either way both are good IMO.
The only things RCT1 does better are the scenarios and the nostalgia factor. But since all scenarios have been ported, (for RCT3 as well) there's not much left of what makes RCT1 more worth than 2. RCT2 has more of everything. Especially the improved scenery is important to most players. At least to those who play the games in an artistic way. If you want to slap as many ugly coasters into your park as possible for the rest of your life, then of course there are a lot less arguments left for why RCT2 is better (even though RCT2 uses two times as much frames for the tracked rides, which makes them smoother).
Somehow, RCT2 just never brought as much sheer joy to me as 1
I love RCT1 and 2, however RCT 2 with the scenarios of RCT1 is better.
The RCT2 coasterbuilder at least lets me do this:

I like how in RC1 you can charge over £80 for Log flume and people still crowd for it.
I never tested the custom minicoaster track until today.

It's amazingly smooth and contains of more than 3500 track pieces! You should get it! http://www.rct-3.org/files/index.php?page=EntryFiles&entryID=1734 (you might have to register to download)
I picked up RCT2 for $.25 this summer. I'm surprised that I managed not to go bankrupt so quickly back when I was 7.
I found my old RCT2 disc, but when I put it in it says "Do you want to remove RCT2 and all of its components?" It's acting as if it's already installed. When the dialogue message comes up Security Essentials gets a virus warning and tells me PowerRegScheduler is causing the problem, but when I tell it to get rid of it it says PowerRegScheduler can't be found.
Any idea what's going on? I can't get it to install properly.

Check your installed programmes?

I always build mini-coasters to start. Cheap and effective money-makers. 6.32 excitement, 6.70 intensity, medium nausea.
Check your installed programmes?
I'm not about to post here without doing everything I thought of first.
Of course it's not in my installed programs. There is no trace of RCT2 that I can see on my computer, so I'd like to know if there is some weird hidden area where game files are kept that isn't obvious.

If it's not in the installed programmes then I'm stumped, because that's what would determine whether or not the disc thinks the game is installed already.
I really hope we get to see some more about RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D

Also, awesome Summer Air mix

I'm running a program now to check and see if RCT2 left some obscure files lying around where they can't be seen.
I'll be mad if I can't get to play it again, it's one of my favorite series.
