Is that what RCT3 looks like? I bought a chinese knockoff copy ages ago and everything was fairly isometric and flat.
Where to get the RCT1 maps for RCT2?

But since all scenarios have been ported, (for RCT3 as well) there's not much left of what makes RCT1 more worth than 2.
I loved RCT3. Why do people hate on it so often?
Started to work with my park.
I've got this really annoying bug where the people in the queue for this one ride (ONLY this ride) will all complain that they've been there for "Ages". I WATCHED YOU WALK IN JUST NOW YOU'VE LITERALLY BEEN QUEUING FOR TEN SECONDS YOU FUCK [editline]31st March 2012[/editline] The ride even says, "Queue time: 3 minutes" [editline]31st March 2012[/editline] Bumbly Beach didn't take long at all :v: BEFORE: AFTER:
i cant find my cd, i bought rct2 when the last thread was running but now i can only find the damn box. im just going to play openttd, when i get a new pc i might buy it again from gog
just a random banner that was maked for the old megathread
It's amazing how I can't come up with good coaster ideas in any of the games after hours of thinking.
I just make them up as I go, I don't really make any specific plans apart from "I'll make a tunnel here" or "I'll loop around this ride if I can".
How do I get custom resolutions in the GOG version of RCT?
Nobody? :(
Nobody? :(
was playing with it for few hours, no luck. Couldn't find the hex pattern or even anything close to it, since the GOG exe is like 10 megabytes smaller than the original cd version, I wonder where all the data disappeared. Here's what the pattern means:
You can easily calculate the hex values for any other resolution: For example 1280x720: 1280 dec2hex 500, add zero at beginning 05 00, exchange values 00 05 720 dex2hex 2D0, add zero at beginning 02 D0, exchange values D0 02
I would love to get it work

Guys, does anyone know what files I gotta copy if I wan to carry over all the scenarios I unlocked in RCT1 in case of a windows reinstall?
I remember that i charged a dollar for people to use the bathroom, and the free one was at the far end of the park :D
What the fuck is up with not being able to charge for either rides or entry in rct2? even on the rct1 maps its annoying
To be fair that's how most real life parks work.
To be fair that's how most real life parks work.
Most parks don't charge for entry?
Most parks don't charge for entry?
Either they'll charge for entry and have free rides or have free entry and you pay per ride.
I'm debating whether I should buy RCT1 or 2.
I'm debating whether I should buy RCT1 or 2.
2 You can import scenario's from RCT 1 over so then you basically got RCT 1 with some improvements
2 You can import scenario's from RCT 1 over so then you basically got RCT 1 with some improvements
Only thing with that is that they're all unlocked from the start that way :( I like progressing
"King Karts' brakes malfunctioned" *one second later* "You recieved an award: Safest park"
I get that every time I make a unsafe coaster in RCT3.
Anyone know of a way to launch RCT3, without the disc in the drive? It gets kinda tedious...
Repost for the new page
Repost for the new page
Perhaps there's patches, but if they don't exist you could always mount the CD with Daemon Tools and use the virtual drive instead of the CD.
Repost for the new page
There are no-cd patches that exist, just remember to back the original exe file up.
You are a cruel man. Now do it with Go-Karts, name everyone Mr Bean, and set the laps to maximum.
Working on it. I don't have the horror pack, so it will have to be "Chief Sitting Bones' Trail of Tears" instead
Oh man, I remember this game. One thing I was always terrible at was making coasters. They were never compact like the prebuilt tracks. They were all over the entire park. :v: [editline]1st April 2012[/editline] Oh, and this really awesome user expansion I found back when the second game was still relatively new was amazing. I really want to see a Roller Coaster Tycoon 4 where you can make resorts (Like Disney Or Universal). You could make hotels and shit and have transportation systems in place to get people to the different parks you operate, and then try and play a balancing act to keep guests evenly distributed among all the parks. So pretty much what the Sims 3 did (Open up the world to include the entire neighborhood).
