How long is 1 race on that track?
I really want to see a Roller Coaster Tycoon 4 where you can make resorts (Like Disney Or Universal). You could make hotels and shit and have transportation systems in place to get people to the different parks you operate, and then try and play a balancing act to keep guests evenly distributed among all the parks. So pretty much what the Sims 3 did (Open up the world to include the entire neighborhood).
It'd be hard to still call it Roller Coaster Tycoon, though. I'd really appreciate an easier method to make buildings, though.
Is that what RCT3 looks like? I bought a chinese knockoff copy ages ago and everything was fairly isometric and flat.
dunno if someone answered it but you probably got 1 or 2 3 was 3D and had a fully adjustable camera
but its supposed to be a sandbox game :(
NO THIS GAME IS ALL ABOUT THE SCENARIOS IF YOU WANT TO PLAY SANDBOX YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG - Chris Sawyer
The game is much more fun when you got limited money. Then i mananage my parks a lot more and orginze my money so the "To-do" factor is a lot higher then smashing random rides everywhere and be bored of it a second later RCT 1 Scenario's are the best
How long is 1 race on that track?
It's up to 105 minutes a lap, and it has 10 laps. So 17.5 hours.
Bah, I need to buy this game, but I need to use the money to finish my tricopter. Dilemma.
You know you're on a bad trend when your rollercoaster breaks down after a single test run...
I hate how I can only have one coaster operating on a lift coaster, since the lift doesn't get back to its starting position in time for the other car, so the other car flies off the rails.

According to the wiki it's possible to make a log flume crash. Anyone ever tried this?
My girlfriend found RCT3 Platinum at a garage sale and I installed but never played it. I will give it a try!
According to the wiki it's possible to make a log flume crash. Anyone ever tried this?
Im quite certain as long as the station brakes fail its possible to make almost anything crash Edit:
It is also possible for a Log Flume to crash, especially if a reverser segment is located shortly after a large drop.
I have to try this once I get back from university
I remember playing the original when I was.....I dunno, 10 or something. Everything was going fine and dandy. Then one of my rollercoasters broke down. So I went over and see what the problem was. The station brakes were malfunctioning. ....... OH JESUS BLIMEY FUCK THERE'S A TRAIN THAT'S ALMOST FINISHED WHERE'S MY NEAREST ENGINEER GET THE FUCK OVER THERE ALREADY YOU LAZY FUCK!

You pick him up & drop him down near the ride, only to find that he's forgotten his task.

They're probably all flawed clones of each other. Would explain why everybody has the same face, hair, height, thought pattern, and general look.
The second game vastly improved AI imho.
They're probably all flawed clones of each other. Would explain why everybody has the same face, hair, height, thought pattern, and general look.
A classmate of mine had a simple coaster which went up a bit, drop, straight into looping, turned into station and had nausea and intensity ratings of extreme and ultra-extreme. He tore it down and built a wood coaster that was literally turn, turn, one straight piece, turn, turn into station. THE QUEUES WERE FULL!
As this highly professional trailer shows, my Modern Tram set is now ready for downloading: http://www.customscenerydepot.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=1239
Did they fix guests treating transportation rides as an actual ride rather than a mode of transportation in RCT3? Biggest problem with RCT1 and 2 was the fact they'd never use the trains as a way of getting places but as a really gentle ride, which is soooo annoying. The guests would never think "hmm, the walking distance to the ride I want to ride is really far, I should take this tram to the area near it so I don't have to walk" and instead think "trains? HAHAHA WHAT PUSSY SHIT I ONLY RIDE MANLY RIDES FOR MY MANLY SELF FUCK THAT BABY SHIT."

Holy shit the nostalgia. I had RCT for the Xbox, which, looking back seems like an odd choice for a console port, but god damn did I play the fuck out of that game.
How safe is it to just leave a well developed park running, with numerous rides and adequate handymen, mechanics, etc? I don't want my park to die due to extreme drops in park rating, handymen/mechanics failing to do their job, plus some things are only fixable by me, such as vandalism.
I totally forgot about this video I made two years ago:
That would be quite hard on the station brakes
