I'm 38/40/7/40 and I get way better scaling on a Sharp Greataxe than I would Refined. What This is my pride and joy for fighting [sp]Gael[/sp] though. Sacred Oath + Lightning Blade throws it's damage through the roof and I just chunk away at his health. Easily my favorite boss in the game and I have a long way before I master him. It doesn't feel like any of his attacks are stupid or bullshit. A fair and challenging boss fight is exactly what I wanted and exactly what I got. Bonus points for literally being [sp]motherfucking Guts[/sp] because holy shit that got me pumped up in it's own right.
Well this didn't last long for the Ringed City [sp]Every Spear of the Church is a Greatsword user and all summons are useless[/sp]
If I killed you I'm sorry. :v: [editline]30th March 2017[/editline]
I'm 38/40/7/40 and I get way better scaling on a Sharp Greataxe than I would Refined. What
Well Refined got nerfed while both Heavy and Sharp got buffed, so that's not entirely surprising.
So how soon 'til we hear about From's next game that isn't with bamco?
Bloodborne 2 or a Sci-Fi game. I hope the latter just because i want to wield a big laser\beam axe or something like that. Even then, my hope is that the combat gets improved since From is having big stroke for crazy acrobatics enemies.
As much as I love Bloodborne, I don't want another game set in that universe. It stands on its own so well. I'm still down for Tron Souls though.
I want Demon's/Dark Souls remastered. Just for the stable 60fps and good AA.
I love how you can get a free respec by closing the game in task manager after respecing but not before closing that menu when you respec, it SAVES the stats but when you close that menu, it DELETES the item and counts the rebirth, and then saves it was something like that last I did it, didn't even need backups lmao
I'm having trouble replicating this. At what time do you use task manager to close the game, is it on the Initiate rebirth prompt or?...
I'm having trouble replicating this. At what time do you use task manager to close the game, is it on the Initiate rebirth prompt or?...
Finish the rebirth but don't close Rosaria's menu.
Well the first boss in The Ringed City is kicking my ass. I have no trouble with dealing damage, but phase 1 is tough solo, and phase 2 is easily handled with some good rolls. By the time I reach phase 2 I'm halfway through estus or the big AoE's kills me while a pinch away from avoiding the radius.
I'm currently trying to fight my way inside the titular Ringed City (I'm at the point where you get invaded by whom I can only suppose is [sp]Alva for the very last time[/sp]). The only thing I can say this far is that the difficulty of the enemy encounters in this DLC is, simply put, schizophrenic. One one hand, if you got your gear right, the majority of the enemies are pretty easy to manage (something can be said specifically about the [sp]Ringed Knights[/sp], who in my experience are all show and no bite, since they don't even bother trying to protect themselves from backstabs like the Lothric Knights). Then, often enough, you meet these enemies that have unbeliveably large health pools or/and an annoying gimmicks that just keep them alive again. And again. AND AGAIN. But they have otherwise very simple movesets. More often than not I die to the [sp]"Fatso root Knights[/sp] because I get extremely bored and just want to deal one extra attack to make things go faster. By the far, the worst enemies in this regard are the [sp]odd clerics with stone on their backs[/sp]. Also, I can only assume the boss a certain NPC asks me to kill ([sp]a dragon who is succumbing to the influence of the Dark[/sp]) is that infamous bonus boss you guys keep talking about, the one with as much health as six bosses or something. Oh joy. I'm enjoying the DLC though, no doubts about that
Try [sp]a plunging attack on the fat knights[/sp], with my longsword +10 it almost one-shots them.
[t]https://puu.sh/v323d/7f6804e18e.jpg[/t] this DLC has good armor
i think i just invaded someone who summoned you [t]http://i.imgur.com/evDLjPY.jpg[/t]
Does anyone know why exactly this happens? I guess it's a critical hit spot, but it's not going to do much more damage if only arrows and throwing daggers are the only attacks that can hit it reliably. [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/qdbtyj.webm[/vid]

Eh that's a little inconvenient. They should have made it so that you can stagger them so they lower their head a bit.
The new healing spell is dumb. It's faster than the rest, it's basically emit force so you can just throw it on the ground and heals you decently along the others, faith doesn't need more healing spells, From.
Since the new DLC I've been running a heavy armor heavy weapons run. I discovered that I'm in love with Vordt's Hammer, and since then my entire run has basically been this.

It's a good spell that brings interesting mechanics to a build that's usually just "Let me spend 10 years casting this while I'm vulnerable.". I fucking love this spell.
Can't decide if Lothric Warbanner is pathetically weak even on 40/40 refined or TRC enemies are super resistant to thrust damage.
Can't decide if Lothric Warbanner is pathetically weak even on 40/40 refined or TRC enemies are super resistant to thrust damage.
They seem resistant to pretty much everything. :v: [editline]derp[/editline]
That Derg Playing DS3 24/7: uuuuuuuuuuhhhhhh That Derg Playing DS3 24/7: UUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH That Derg Playing DS3 24/7: i think the game goofed That Derg Playing DS3 24/7: i got spawned into a boss fight, but a Spear was already there That Derg Playing DS3 24/7: so there were 2 Spears, but my health didn't count towards the boss health That Derg Playing DS3 24/7: we still died tho 'cuz it was a 4-man gank That Derg Playing DS3 24/7: spamming pyromancy everywhere
Quoting 'cuz I'm too lazy to rewrite all of it. I'll upload a video of it soonish.
Only click this if you hit the last boss for Ringed City. [sp]Jesus christ Gael is a fucking asshole, I honestly will feel ok for the first time in the Souls series if I don't win this, I never ask for help from anyone either and solo everything, but this honestly has me beat and I didn't even get far into the fight Bravo From Software.[/sp]
These fights are way too chaotic for me honestly. I got to the last boss but honestly that's the last straw, way too much going on and huge damage going out everywhere with very little breathing room for mistakes. Not to mention huge HP numbers. I can't remember if I'm on NG+ or NG++ but these fights take forever to take down the boss or happen very quickly if I get hit even twice.
I still think Bloodborne throws much crazier fights at you than anything in DS3.
If you can take on Orphan of Kos, you can take on anything. Nothing in DS3 will ever surpass that boss on the bullshit scale. :v: [editline]derp[/editline] If anyone needs helps with [sp]Gael[/sp], feel free to let me know. I personally don't find him very difficult to deal with.
Fucking Aldritch Gators. Kill one easy singled out, second one murderfucks me. Continues murdering me when it shouldn't be so hard until on the 6th try I kill it easy like the first one. Why? Why is it so fucking hard one time and so easy the next? I never really changed my tactics in fighting it either. Also, fuck the Lothric sword knights that can thrust across half the fucking room in a single ungodly fast attack. At least the spear guys take a stance before they jump. I've been playing on PvP for too long, I forgot how utter bullshit the PvE can be, especially as a Pike user.
Funnily enough, I have a harder time beating Maria and Gehrman than I do with Orphan.
Funnily enough, I have a harder time beating Maria and Gehrman than I do with Orphan.
my brother still makes fun of my because I had an easier time with both Laurence and the Orphan than I did with Maria. The first time I fought her I got her down to maybe one third health left and I said "She seems like a pretty easy boss." Cut to 20 tries later and I still hadn't beat her. I did do a cool thing while fighting her where, using the jump attack of the beast claws with the Beast's Embrace rune, I was able to just jump over some of her attacks in the second and third phase.
[vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/lxtefa.mp4[/vid] To recap from earlier, I got summoned as a Spear but there was already another one in the fight. And for some reason my health did not count towards the boss health.

Oh god I hate those fucking huge dudes that summon things to attack you. It would seem those things can attack friendly NPCs, so I almost got fucked over at the end of [sp]Lapp[/sp] questline because one of those mages spawned when I was talking to him and its attack damaged US BOTH AAARGHH FUCK.
