I think this works honestly
If you do the trick where rebirthing doesn't cost any tongues does it still count towards the max number of rebirths you have left?

Heh...
Finally beat the 1st boss! Boy I'm slow to learn the patterns...
The Ringed City itself looks gorgeous! [sp]From the cutscene with the Bat demons taking me there felt like scenery porn.[/sp]
Lore Spoiler Tidbit from the 1st npc before the city bonfire: [sp]So someone named Filianore is a sleeping priestess that according to this white-haired thing is a ruse to cover up a godly conspiracy. Am I smelling bullshit, or should I NOT wake sleeping beauty?[/sp]
Summoned a guy named Ruin Sentinel Jr yesterday (who was dressed like a mini ruin sentinel)
Watched him destroy the Nameless King without any help
Was not disappointed
I need help with[sp]Midir[/sp]Nothing is working. Getting 1 shot with 40 vigor. +10 Dragonslayer's Axe is hardly scratching him.
Just stay under him and smack the feet and tail 'til he dies.
[editline]31st March 2017[/editline]
And I don't mean just spam attacks, cuz that will get you killed. Hit 1-3 times then dodge whatever attack he does and repeat.
Smacking the feet and tail takes way too long, though. You'll eventually die before you make it to the end. The boss is an endurance run, in my opinion. Try and last as long as you can and maybe he'll die before you die yourself. :v:
The head is honestly the best target to go for, though sometimes you'll need to retreat under him for a quick breather and smack his legs a bit in the process. Plus he'll only stagger if it you hit his head enough times, and the riposte takes away HUGE amounts of health. It's definitely worth going for.

Nah. Damage reduction on limbs is a little much. You prolong the fight and induce Murphy's law. The less chances you have for them to jump to the other side of the massive arena to snipe you the better.
Rather stick to their head whenever possible so you do full damage. They have a surprisingly long downtime between attacks so even the slowest weapon can get a hit or two.
Have a shield on hand even if you're going in shieldless in the event they take to the air to rain fire down from above. Generally don't have enough time to react and get out of the way.
Egyptian souls announcement WHEN from?
I tried the leg thing, but after failing like 10+ times, I just started to fight him like I did Sinh and only attack his head after certain moves.
It only took me 2 tries after trying that. I think the patience battle works better than the brute force method, at least for me.
My strat was hit his head twice, he'd attack, I'd hit the leg or tail while he attacked then go back to his head. And ya it's an endurance run, but his attacks are so slow and telegraphed it's pretty hard to get hit by any of them.
[editline]31st March 2017[/editline]
And he'll never hit you if you just stay under him. The only attack that will hit you there is the fire breath but that takes an entire day to start so you have plenty of time to walk away.
I beat [sp]Midir[/sp] by wearing the bloodring, fast rolling and using a bow but staying in melee range. I got lucky with dodging his crazy laser move in his second phase. Other than that it was the standard wait for him to attack then shoot his head, repeat.
Beat him with a summon, with help of me tanking with havel's shield and sneaking in some hits on his tail and legs.
The summon was using some build with the dragon crossbow shield and the preachers arm to put some white cloud(?) sorcery/pyromancy(?) on him that started melting the boss fairly fast. I met him once before that attempt, but I fucked up that time and luckily got him again. I got the last hit though.
I'm glad that's over. Probably could of done with it a specialized build. So now I'm really interested in that guys build.
I cant even get [sp]Midir[/sp] below half health

Get ready to grind covenants you poor bastard. It took me a couple of months before I even got Sunlight Warriors to Rank 2 for the lightning spell. I imagine it's one of the easier ones too. I know that the Blades of the Darkmoon also has Darkmoon Blade as a reward. Go figure.
[editline]1st April 2017[/editline]
Also follow Leonhard's questline. Once he kills Rosaria you can transpose her soul into a miracle instead of reviving her.

How? Just co-op with friends while you are all sunbros and you will drown in sunlight medals
Or be like me and invade forever and get showered in sunlight medals. :v:
It's pretty dumb you can even get medals for doing invasions.

I don't even know man. It just took forever for me to get them. That's with me running them from start to end of normal and NG. I had Sunlight Spear before it. I have four friends that I play this game with and I always use the same character.

Always thought it was bull that you could get Sunlight Medals from duels and invasions but not Dregs or the like.
What level did all you guys do the dlc at? I'm trying to figure out how much I need to level up to be able to do more co-op and invading in the dlc.

First character was 100 on NG and second character was 120 on NG++. They were both very difficult to get through. Right now I'm trying to get my pyromancer through and it's ungodly annoying since he's on NG++ and weak as a piece of paper.
I was at 100 NG and got shredded, getting through it was stressful.
Wow, I thought the [sp]Demon Prince[/sp] would be absolute hell with a Pyromancer, but it was ironically really easy. :v:
Black Flame makes quick work of them since it does dark damage instead of fire damage, and since it does so much poise damage I kept getting tons of critical hits.

I've been doing Heavy Harald with Frozen Weapon and Pontiff's Right. Only thing i've used in my co-op runs that slaughters him faster is Carthus Rouge Warden Twoswords.
If the average level for the dlc is around 100 that's probably why I can rarely find anybody.
Has anyone actually tested the damage potential of the [sp]Ringed Knights[/sp] Straight Sword?
I have a quality build quality and don't know if it can do more damage than a fully upgraded Refined Dark Sword, especially since, apparently, it has split damage
completed the dlc at SL80, I got invaded about 3 times and I never saw a summon sign
