So the new calibration nearly destroyed infusions instead of buffing them.
Ladies and Gentlemen, acid surge balancing v2.
Nah man. Buffing physical attack and nerfing the magic/etc damage as well the scaling is the best way to improve build diversity :s:
From needs to move on with their game. Hope they use a new and better engine or whatever for good. It seems ds3 is breaking more than expected.

According to Kimmundi, the infusion changes were a mistake, and will be getting reverted / changed next patch

Elemental infusions were shit from the start, Heavy and Sharp got better only after Refined nerf.
Chaos/Lightning/Crystal/Dark infusion should make up for low physical damage on INT/FTH builds, not make it even worse.

I know though. It comes down to how messed up the game is and how From is having constant struggle on how to work.
Split damage already sucks too plus some necessary stats increase fire/lighting defense like vigor and endurance which makes no sense (correct me if i'm wrong or if it's been patched).
Waiting for that fix.
I may be late but looks like you can get permanent fast FP regen by using Warbanner weapon art while having handmaid's dagger in main hand.

works for every main-hand weapon that has a on-hit effect.
An example would be the Chaos Blade self damage, Smough's Hammer healing and the Corvian Greatscythe self bleed buildup
Glad the twin great swords weren't nerfed into oblivion. Switching between them and the profaned gs.
Lots of point downs happened today. Except the people who didn't spam healing making the fight longer than needed. They got the toast emote.
so uh, quick PSA, using the mound maker invasion glitch to invade someone during the spear church fight causes no church defender to spawn, the mound maker overriding his position
i'm not quite sure if killing the mound maker counts as finishing the boss fight, but this glitch kind of has the potential to softlock people inside the boss room
try not to do that
Destroying RKPG "beasts" with my trusty kirkhammer.

What a perfectly not-broken boss. :v:
How do you find these issues. I had one boss not spawn at all, once thats it. Every other spear fight went as expected.
And these aren't even cherry-picked either, they all happened back to back. After that third one, I just had to put my controller down and call it a day. :disappoint:

Why does the US/EU cover for the Fire Fades Edition look boring and lazy as hell compared to the JP cover?

At this point, I really don't know why [sp]the Spear of the Church encounter shouldn't be exclusively 1vs1[/sp], just like the Demon's Soul encounter they were trying to replicate.
I get it, it would be extremely unfair to lock the PvE progress of someone via [sp]a forced PvP duel[/sp], so you are allowed to bring help to even the odds, but as of now I haven't much incentive to [sp]be summoned as a Spear[/sp]
Since the new patch, every Spear i've encountered is afk :v:
4 in a row, different players, can't believe how game breaking this patch is!
Was Dark Souls 3's netcode always wonky or am I just getting bad luck/bad ping invaders?
I've had the Watchdogs kill my mood to try to stay embered in the Road of Sacrifices because all four that found me were able to casually walk into my attacks and slap around the air to fuck me up.
It's really putting the salami in my pastrami.
[I]ahah I found a cracked red-eye orb maybe I can return the favo-

I'm getting this sinking feeling that if you want to stay embered in populated areas, you just bring a posse with you at all times. Man, I feel so out of the loop with this one.
I've cleared every boss in the DLC so far but I am still stuck on [sp]Midir[/sp] I've no clue how you're supposed to do this without cheesing it.
[sp]He literally sits still for such a short period of time, I can barely get close and when I do I can get maybe one hit in every now and then and my damage is horrible against his resistances. The lowest I've gotten him to was maybe 80% health? I've seen people saying pestilent mercury works wonders, but I don't want to cheese the fight.[/sp]
Currently I'm on my purely PvE character who is just under level 400 I can wield any weapon in the game with my stats but I'm not built for spells or miracles.
I've been using Yhorm's Greatshield paired with the Dragonslayer Greataxe/Dragonslayer Spear.
Should I try with a different weapon and if so do you guys have any recommendations?
Makes me wonder if they'll add/change things like with SOTFS, maybe Gael will have a more prominent role in the Special Edition
Makes me wonder if Gael will have a more prominent role in the Special Edition
Fire Fades is just a repackaging of the base game and all DLC included. It's nothing different.
Dark souls really has fantastic writers because beating the dlc left me feeling completely hollow.
You know what bugs me the most about the way this has l ended? Dark Souls 2. Where's Aldia? Where's the Bearer of the Curse? Aldia is outside of the cycle completely at this point that we know of, the Bearer brought the crowns together and effectively broke the curse to an extent. Where are they? Why aren't they mention?
It's just really bothering me. Aldia and the Bearer are two hugely pivotal roles in breaking how the world works, you'd figure at least Prince Lothric would be investigating, maybe Aldrich too, and most definitely Londor.

US vs JP covers are always sad to look at.

[sp]"One met the dark with learning. But in the end, learned his knowledge was wanting. The world began without knowledge, and without knowledge will it end. Dost not this ring clear and true?"[/sp]
Pretty sure this piece of dialogue is a reference to him, but it's still ambiguous as hell, [sp]as it fails to identify the parameters by which the locust judges Aldia's knowledge to be 'wanting'.[/sp]

I think that was probably just about snape since all the other ones were dudes you met at firelink

I like to think that the [sp]locust guy is referring to Orbeck. Orbeck has you traveling the entire game picking up scrolls for him to learn new spells. Once he gets them all, he hollows out dead in a seat at the Grand Archives. He found the knowledge too much to take in and his mind broke. It's better off being blissfully unaware of the unknown than to go insane with knowledge unbound as it seems.
The Aldia theory works too.[/sp]
I haven't gotten to the second boss, and I think I already know too much. In the swamp I found [sp]The Dragonslayer armor kneeling at the edge. When I beat him the lore reads that "A champion of ash" bested him and his armor rusted. He was then revived by the abyss, more than likely hollowed out with memories of hunting dragons.
We're in the future?! How? Did the bonfires warp us century's into the future? I thought we just warped to ends of the earth from the looks of the Ringed City itself. Does time have no place in The Ringed City?[/sp]

[sp]"Time is convoluted."
That's actually it. Remember, it happens in DS1 as well. You return with the Lordvessel to Frampt, and he mentions how it's been a thousand years since you left. Also, I'm guessing the Ringed City is actually just one big illusion, considered everything turns to ash instantly the moment you reach the princess (forgot her name).[/sp]
[sp]I'd argue the "wanting" one is King Vendrick. His shield is aptly named Shield of Want[/sp]
I think dark souls 2 was canonically confirmed to just be a massive prank by patches.
Since he's been a part of every game from makes, he must have written the story.
Really, the throne of want was just a trick to lock greedy assholes inside a stupid dome thing.
Bearstein bearer is probably still sitting in there waiting for something to happen.
I give up on invasions in DLC areas. They all plagued with chinese dial-up cheaters or Mc'Donalds wifi covenant murrica gank squads.
This combined with ruined SotC and boss invasions glitch really makes want to put DaS3 on offline mode once again.
[sp]needed to vent[/sp]
