How about you just make it a fucking thing Moundmakers can do instead, there's starting to be less and less fucking reasons to be one. From "No fun allowed" Software.
The bug overstayed his welcome. Was fun for about a week then everybody started doing it. Oh yeah, it's also fun no having any indication that someone entered in your world, so you have to rely on the invasion sound. But i'll welcome mound maker being able to enter boss room if summoned And also make them available as non ember.
Does this mean the effects happen sooner or later?
Increased charge rate usually means faster. Which is nice because I have a rapier character in progress [editline]10th April 2017[/editline] The patch post updated and is now to be released on the 12th
I wonder how many iframes the bloodring will give you now. It's really helpful on some bosses at SL1. [editline]10th April 2017[/editline] Also, "It is now easier to be interrupted when using most weapon skills." People already barely use skills, why nerf it even harder? I'd prefer if they made the skills more mobile and just drop the damage slightly.
How about you just make it a fucking thing Moundmakers can do instead, there's starting to be less and less fucking reasons to be one. From "No fun allowed" Software.
Belive it or not, being invaded while fighting a boss isn't fun for the host. It worked for a boss like Mirror Knight because he was designed around this mechanic, but people have been invading bosses like [sp]Gael[/sp] because by "this is fun" they mean "ooooh a free kill". It's a dick move and the people who keep bitching about not being able to take advantage of a bug/exploit that let them be dicks is just pathetic. Fuck man I love the idea of being able to be invaded during a boss but the boss needs to be designed around this mechanic otherwise it's just ridiculously one sided against the host. Hell even designing a covenant that allows you to be invaded by people in bosses would be nifty because you could opt into it by choice. I'd sure as hell do a run of the game with a covenant like that just for the extra challenge.
They should add the shiny back to maxed covenant ranks.
How is it even possible to invade [sp] Gael [/sp] when the Red Eye Orb is unusable there? [editline]10th April 2017[/editline]
-big wall of text-
It would be cool if they were stronger, but I'm pretty sure people would be complaining nonstop that crossbows would be too overpowered if the damage was increased any higher than it is right now.
Had a unique encounter with an invader today. A red phantom wearing [sp]Lapp's[/sp] set invaded me in Carthus Catacombs. After a brief standoff near the bridge, followed by shaking our weapons to signify a truce, he dropped a handful of embers and a giant seed. After I used the seed, I spent the next several minutes following him around as he helped me clear the area. While I was perfectly able to take the level and boss by myself, my new friend greatly sped the process up and even pointed me to a few items that I had missed. However, something was clearly off: he continuously stepped on the pressure plates to the fire arrows when I was near, and led me past other dangers as if he was hoping to let the environment kill me off. ...And then we reach the wooden rope bridge. At this point, his intentions became all too clear. I run past the skeletons and step a few feet on to the bridge, and right on queue, he immediately cuts the rope. After backing up and mauling the skeleton mob, I make my way over to the other side via the land path on the edge of the pit. He then pointed down at the ladder formed by the rope bridge right as I caught up. Maybe he made an honest mistake? I walk over to the ladder, and sure enough, he started attacking. I watched my sizable early investment in stamina pay off as he hit me twice, and fell to his death after having swung one more time too many. I bow over his evaporating corpse as his body disappears. :v: It was a fun ride from start to finish, and it was pretty fun appearing to narrowly escape his duplicity. I made a note to try the same thing myself in the future. On an unrelated note, is it worthwhile to keep the estus ring on, or should I replace it with something like the damage absorb ring at the first opportunity? I already have all the other rings I want.
How is it even possible to invade [sp] Gael [/sp] when the Red Eye Orb is unusable there?
Force Casting Glitch. Reportedly to be removed with the patch on the 12th.
anyone else get curious and try using the miracle exploit to use the fingers in someone else's world? i tried it earlier with a friend while doing some jolly cooperation and it gave me the icon in the top left, but we didn't play for long enough to figure out if it was just graphical or if it actually affected his world. [editline]a[/editline] using embers for full heals is a good meme though
Force Casting Glitch. Reportedly to be removed with the patch on the 12th.
But in order to use that glitch you have to activate the orb in the first place. Or are the steps different for this situation?
But in order to use that glitch you have to activate the orb in the first place. Or are the steps different for this situation?
you just have to attempt to activate it, even if the item is greyed out and your character just flaps their arms around in futility - when you do the miracle then the throwing knife it'll activate the last item you attempted to use instead of the throwing knife
you just have to attempt to activate it, even if the item is greyed out and your character just flaps their arms around in futility - when you do the miracle then the throwing knife it'll activate the last item you attempted to use instead of the throwing knife
So then the steps are indeed different for this situation then. 'Cuz normally you have to use the Orb, then switch and use the homeward bone despite it being greyed out, then cast Force and throw the knife respectively. [editline]derp[/editline] This combo is absolutely disgusting. :v: [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/owljnw.mp4[/vid]
Does that actually combo with an R1 -> skill, or did that guy just not want to dodge?
Does that actually combo with an R1 -> skill, or did that guy just not want to dodge?
It combos and it's inescapable. If your 2H R1 lands, immediately follow it up with your weapon art and you basically win the game. I've 1-shot so many phantoms with it in ganks since they tend to have lower health than the host.
I need that.
So then the steps are indeed different for this situation then. 'Cuz normally you have to use the Orb, then switch and use the homeward bone despite it being greyed out, then cast Force and throw the knife respectively.
i imagine you just combine the two sets of steps into one :v like: use orb > cast miracle > throw knife (orb gets activated when it shouldn't be allowed) > use bone > cast miracle > throw knife (bone gets activated when it shouldn't be allowed) [editline]a[/editline] makes me wonder if anyone's tried to invade in other areas orbs usually aren't allowed. imagine getting invaded in firelink D: [editline]a[/editline] oh i should add to my earlier post about the fingers: i also tried the darksign while in my friend's world - the darksign did nothing til i got back to my own world, where as soon as i loaded in all my souls disappeared \o/ not sure what else i really expected to happen from that one
Increased FP consumption of the sorcery "Great Magic Shield" hopefully not too much, this + Greatshield of glory is fucking insane, pretty much blocks a nuclear blast lmao
Exhibit B on why this combo is absolutely insane. :v: [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/luksln.mp4[/vid]
I can already feel the massive nerf coming in a patch soon.
soooooooo, you may not even need to do the whole moundmaker / homeward bone thing for [sp]gael[/sp] - i appeared at the bottom of the stairs as a red/gold phantom and there was no fogwall to traverse after the bonfire room, i could just wander straight into the boss arena. may be 'cause the guy hadn't triggered the cutscene yet though. [sp]i dropped a green blossom for the guy and peaced out if anyone was wondering - i ain't a dick :v[/sp]
Knight mobs in ds3 are fucking stupid bullshit tbh [editline]11th April 2017[/editline] Ringed knights are even worse
Exhibit B on why this combo is absolutely insane. :v: [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/luksln.mp4[/vid]
Who the fuck black crystals out of a duel. That is the epitome of pathetic.
Knight mobs in ds3 are fucking stupid bullshit tbh [editline]11th April 2017[/editline] Ringed knights are even worse
My only legitimate complaint; some parts where there are two ringed knights in one area feel artificial. You hardly stagger them, and the ones with the spears have a shield that will negate your attack, leaving you open for the other guy to use his OP Focus special. It's hard to separate them too.

im quite pleased with the demons scar as a full time witchs lock pyro. i used to keep in the off hand a dark longsword for a quick roll catch, with the glove as left backup. I used to have difficulty in integrating spell usage into combat - not anymore. really opens up pyro for people less skilled than the quick switching pro peeps. plus it just looks great [t]https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/94981434115967412/FD7F31043A738EAE48C5981800082B8F1AEEAE34/[/t]
I love the people that send you group invites that say shit like "Get Rekt" when they kill you. Makes me really miss the hatemail from GFWL days.
Knight mobs in ds3 are fucking stupid bullshit tbh [editline]11th April 2017[/editline] Ringed knights are even worse
Ringed Knights are literally just less aggressive Dark Wraiths to me. They look and act like them so I just handled them like I do Dark Wraiths. When I played Dark Souls 1 and I got to the Dark Wraiths in New Londo I actually laughed my ass off because it felt like their attacks were in slow motion. They're so slow in DS1 compared to the R1 spam combo beasts they are in DS3.
Fuck Darkwraiths in DS3. They have enough poise and can just spam lots of attacks. The only one i hate from the Ringed City Knights are the twin ugs just because of some lingering hitboxes from their swords. Otherwise the spear are easy to bait, just a little tedious since they'll decide to turtle with their shield after some attacks. The sword is the easiest for me but easiest to mess up. If he does the WA, force him to do the thrust but if you let him do the silly r1 horizontal spam, get out or you'll get hit unless you have bloodring. His shield is also bad so free riposte.
I love the people that send you group invites that say shit like "Get Rekt" when they kill you. Makes me really miss the hatemail from GFWL days.
I did this in ds2 because of how almost every player that tried to kill me during spawning as a dragon phantom were fucking awful at the game (you can't harm while a phantoms currently summonly) like they expect me to be AFK or something and then they get ganked hard by a single person it was hilariously sad too
Belive it or not, being invaded while fighting a boss isn't fun for the host. I'd sure as hell do a run of the game with a covenant like that just for the extra challenge.
You realize that the boss attacks the invader too, right? I died multiple times to the boss while invading at Abyss Watchers, once at Crystal Sage, and once to the dragonslayer armour. It's not a free kill at all. The chances of invading someone already fighting the boss are slim, and if the host knows you're there, unless you get their trust somehow, they just won't go through the fog. From is not going to rebalance all the bosses to be designed around that mechanic, and it doesn't need to be that way. You can only harm the host if you do the bug as a moundmaker, which is why you still get attacked by enemies, and can attack the boss in the first place. Moundmakers are an increasingly pointless covenant as you go on in the game because nobody summons your purple signs, the times you do get summoned they just act like you're a red phantom and duel or gank you, invading makes you prioritize gankers, so I say let moundmakers boss invade. Make it part of their gig. It'll give them a purpose again, because once people figured out purple signs were wildcards, they stopped fucking bothering, and invading that prioritizes gankers even more than invading as other covenants do is straight-up unfun.
