That's a good question. I think they're more human than kin because their blood is red. Kin enemies and the fish people at the fishing hamlet and the celestial emmissaries and their failures have white blood
Hey I'm doing my first playthrough of Dark Souls III. I'm very late to that party I know. I'm playing a Pyromancer and I'm at 20 Int and Faith right now in the Cathedral of the Deep. I'm using a raw Astora Straight Sword but I'm worried that sword is going to run it's course soon. What should I switch to later down the line? I dunno what any good Melee weapons would be for a Pyro. I don't have any of the DLCs sadly.
A lore question about Bloodborne I need to finally finish the puzzle. Were the Ptumerians an ancient congregation of humans who were heavily mutated by their constant contacts with the Old Blood or were they an alien race of sort who just happened to have lived near the future city of Yharnam and were inbred among the Great Ones from the very beginning?
I think they're humans. To tag or not to tag spoilers. [sp]I like to think the Pthumerians were the earliest human beings that lived underground. When they came in contact with one of them further down(I think it was Ebrietas), they worshiped them, and through practice became more than human. I think the Pthumerians are what happens when we utilize the Old Blood right. We the non-Pthumerians were so caught up in what we wanted to use it for we neglected the awful properties. We meddled in things we could not fully understand, and it screwed the people of Yharnam, and possibly the world over.[/sp]

If you want to switch it up though, there's a good fire whip near the end of the game and some demon weapons if you've got the strength for them.
Over 100 replies since last night and over half is Arbys raging himself into a ban :v: For some reason, I expected the new arena to be something like the final area of the Ringed City.
is there lore that explains how easily Tarkus makes Iron Golem his bitch? always struck me as odd that they'd leave an NPC summon that blatantly overpowered as-is after all the updates
The lore is that he is really strong. [editline]11th April 2017[/editline] Really though, it's just that the greatsword's moveset is really good at staggering the boss. Since the arena is so small there is a good chance that the boss will get staggered on the edge.
I staggered him with just a longsword. I beat the Iron Golem on my first try. I was really surprised how easy he was.
Would a fire-infused Longsword work?
Either Chaos or Dark for pyromancies. The longsword in particular is a great infusion candidate. Mind you, infusions are kinda bad right now, but they're getting buffed with tomorrow's patch
Would a fire-infused Longsword work?
I would avoid fire infused anything, fire infusion may be good in the short term but with no scaling effect you would be better off just buffing your weapon instead of infusing with fire. If you want a fire infusion that scales wait for a chaos infusion
I staggered him with just a longsword. I beat the Iron Golem on my first try. I was really surprised how easy he was.
Considering the level you must go through to get to it, I'd say it was a favor on the developers' part
is there lore that explains how easily Tarkus makes Iron Golem his bitch? always struck me as odd that they'd leave an NPC summon that blatantly overpowered as-is after all the updates
He's the only one to ever conquer the Iron Golem so he left his sign to assist any others that wished to fight it. The strength of his people is legendary and Tarkus' strength was legendary among his people. He unfortunately perishes in Anor Londo, either due to falling from the rafters or the hordes of much more agile Painting Guardians. Tarkus is a goddamn badass.
If you want to have a good time as church spear make a faith tank build, stack health regen with some miracles and prepare for the hatemail Lifehunt scythe is surpisingly useful against gank squads that like to get too aggressive, drives them up the walls when you get like a quarter of your health back in a single swing I always avoid healing if I'm in a 1v1 or 1v2 unless the host is being a shitter though, you can't really keep the pressure on a spear unless you outnumber them so it feels really cheap. Not like it's a common encounter anyway.
I actually had my first summon as a Spear of The Church yesterday, I wasn't sure what I was getting into but the moment I got in, like 3 or 4 players were there, I knew it was a lost cause, but then they decided to all charge at me at once and since I was using Friede's Greatscythe I managed to catch 3 of them into a combo as they didn't bother healing when they charged at me, extremely bloody lucky and I was utterly confused as to what the heck happened when they died. Are great scythes just Overpowered or something? they didn't bother dodging when they got staggered by my combo
i was curious what would happen if you do the ole homeward bone/invasion glitch while in Rosaria's Fingers instead of the Moundmaker covenant - turns out you just spawn as a normal white phantom, so that's pretty neat i guess. [editline]a[/editline] nothin abnormal here, just some standard 5-player coop https://my.mixtape.moe/emdahl.webm 2nd DLC spoiler btw
Nidhogg I hear Hidetaka Miyazaki is talking shit he says he could ace you any time any place, no estus, he'd even let you chug all you want watch out mate [editline]11th April 2017[/editline] I almost called you Nighogg woops
Tarkus is a goddamn badass.

either due to falling from the rafters
Local badass fuggin' dies after a slippy-poo. I can't judge, I think half of my deaths in later Dark Souls 1/2 runs were walking right off a ledge.
It wasn't the fall that killed him. He just couldn't get up after he hit the ground.
It wasn't the fall that killed him. He just couldn't get up after he hit the ground.
Couldn't climb out of the crater he created? ... [sp]What if player weight contributed to plunging attack damage? :v[/sp]

I finally get to the Ringed City DLC and a player Mad Spirit invades me in the [sp]Swampy Area[/sp], alright, no big deal. I have 3000 souls and no will to live - but he never shows. So I go about my business and am running up [sp]a tree branch[/sp] when this fucker comes out from the stratosphere with a drop attack, obliterating nearly all health on the spot. I'm built like beefcakes McTankFuck so this is unexpected to me. I roll, fall down a slight ledge and take a sip. He takes as sip as well, then rolls off to drop-attack me again (and it connects because I am not a clever man.) I start booking it and half a nanofuck later I turn around to see [sp]the cunt Angel-thing-enemy put down a curse AoE where he was during that drop attack and the guy gets capped from full HP due to the curse while chasing me.[/sp] I really need to leave on AMD's instant replay ReLive bullshit for times like this.
I remember I invaded someone once in the mountain pass area, I was on the other side of the elevator that was up, and the fucking host just straight up runs towards me into the hole
Did you toss a "Very Good" carving down the hole after him?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/gxY2Kl4.png[/t] FUCK YOU WHYYY
Apparently i lack the license to play at the High Wall, Lothric these days
Midir at NG+ whatever I'm at levels is such bullshit lmao
Is there any reason to buy a ps4 other than Bloodborne? I've been religiously attached to From Software's souls games ever since DeS, and I've heard that Bloodborne is easily one of the best. I really want to find an excuse to buy a ps4 so I can finally get my hands on it, because if it's anything like DeS then it will never make its way to PC
[t]http://i.imgur.com/gxY2Kl4.png[/t] FUCK YOU WHYYY
this happened to my coop partner last night (in his world) when we had [sp]Midir[/sp] down to like 10% HP :(
