4 player brawl. 3 with ringed knight twin ugs and me with twin axes.
Just kill me
I died to the Deacons of the Deep because of Curse.
I am beyond embarrassed this happened.

everyone point and laugh
dont worry, i managed to get killed by basilisks once
at least they can take you by surprise
deacons though it's almost impossible to die by curse even if you don't get it :v:
FINALLY got Midir down. I actually managed to kill him with only using 2 estus. My winning strategy in the end was being a bit more aggresive towards him. In my failed attempts I was to careful.
Deacons have a curse?
Servers are up and update is out.
And the first thing I'm immediately noticing are Darkmoons up the fucking ass. This is going to be hell for invaders now.
Have to reply this because i finished doing a co op run in the DLC while dried finger and with way of the blue.
2 blues appear almost together, it's crazy. Still can go to 4v2 (1 host, 1 white, 2 blues vs invaders) as long the 4 players are not dead.

I don't know what to believe in anymore

Believe in bananas!
I think the most humiliating thing about the SoulsBorne franchise is that if you ever are getting frustrated by some part of the game, you just know some fuckface has gone through the same thing on a SL1 run using some kind of hilarious controller set-up like a steering wheel or bananas.
Hell, even Twitch beat the first one. [sp](using pauses and voting for controls)[/sp]

Dark Souls has created a phenomenon where people literally dedicate themselves to 1-upping eachother with increasingly ridiculous challenges for nothing more than bragging rights. I've seen this with other games of course but the Dark Souls community takes it way farther than any other gaming community.
I mean, who the fuck goes "I want to beat Dark Souls by using bananas as a controller."? It started off with normal things like no rolling and no bonfire runs, but now it's using bananas and voice-to-action configurations. It's kind of amazing to be totally honest.
It's kind of amazing to be totally honest.
SL1, no gear, no rolling, no bonfires, no taking hits or no estus use. I want to see it happen, even if it's tool-assisted.
I beat Bloodborne 5 times before I managed to kill the taurus demon on any of the 4 characters I tried with. In those years I gave up on it, people beat it through voice commands and through Twitch
Maybe it's because of not being used to DS3's roll-happy gameplay or not being used to being a light armor dex character, but I get my ass kicked repeatedly by every single boss.
I wanna see someone finish Dark Souls 3 with a Guitar or Drums.
Too easy. I wanna see someone do it with a kazoo.

The key to dodging is to never mash the dodge button. Only hit it when you need to. The hardest part imo, is to know which direction is best to dodge.
Tbh I like DS3 better on the topic of defense compared to DS2 because
1. Rolling isn't overpowered
2. We actually have a variety of shields now and they don't suck
3. Armor isn't garbage
In DS2 however magic wasn't useless, but at the same time a melee-magic build was like the premiere pvp meta
I still don't like that medium rolling is up to 70% weight. It's still a really good roll so there's no point being under 25%, and you can still wear really good armor so there's no point being over 70%.
Also, holy shit they nerfed giant tree seed really hard. It lasts for maybe a minute now. I guess there's gonna be no more 8 player co-op sessions.
Giant seed is basically useless now
so its time to be the INVADER from now on

Medium and light rolling are no different I-Frames wise actually

DS3 has the best rolls compared to the others Souls. DS2 had rolls tied to a stat, so you could visually dodge an incoming attack and still get hit because of not enough i-frames. You're forced to level up enough to reach a reasonable Agility.
Also with Bloodring in ds3, you could spam roll happy.
Obviously they made roll like that just for PvE.
Also seeds can stay dead. I will only miss doing gauntlet runs but other than that, it always felt wrong.

and at the cost of better rolls you get less defense
a fair balance tbh

Surely you haven't fought anyone with a bloodring or how it trivializes many fights.
It's a terrible experience.

still better what they did with ds2 where more spells also gives you better rolls
it made magic users the only logical choice for me, while I LIKE that, it made them OP :v:
I just use the running L1 with the caestus for dodge happy people. I always get hits in when they're rolling on the ground.
they see me rollin'
they be hatin'

Best names imaginable for my summons, and both are randoms I got together somehow.
So far, none of the bosses really annoyed me. Like, REALLY annoyed me. Some took longer than usual *cough*Champion Gundyr*cough* but I always managed to pull through on my own by just using ember for extra health.
Well, Nameless king fight changed that. Holy batman of bad game design, who the fuck thought enemy that is partially about dodging dragon set on clouds with absolutely no sense of scale or depth was a good idea? I've never been so happy to summon help after like third try because by that time, I already had headache and light nausea. Christ, fuck that fight.

It's a hard fight, but it's a good one.

I almost got him on my own on my second try. He's not that hard except his stupid arena which made me want to vomit halfway through my third attempt.

I actually hate that fight so much that I've been doing nothing but getting summoned for that fight just so I can help other people out because I really don't wish this upon anyone. :v:
Is it just me, or does The Ringed City [sp]kind of shit the bed after the demon duo?
Like, I kinda felt a bad vibe on the first bosses being a little bit lazy; but by the ol' story teller and his arrow army showed up, everything got real mechanical and boring. I'm in love with the visuals, but I'm at a point where I just want to know where the next bonfire is because I'm exhausted of the hike around here. Who thought the turtle priests were a "fun" enemy? Who thought "lol i poosh" enemies and others that just walk up and wait to inflict curse are cool? I tend to just walk past them now because they're not worth the time or souls. Maybe it's residual salt from a random invader cheekily named "4 Digits Maybe ?" who was specced with some lightning miracle that 1 shot me from over a thousand HP (kudos to the namesake) after I dropped him to a sliver of HP, but even NPC invaders like the Silver Knight with the bigass hammer just feel lazy. Not that I've ever liked NPC invader mechanics with their cheating-tier ability to dodge out of danger, but that cunt has caught me in a single hit and then followed up with second that kills me outright before any dodging or inputs let me break out.
Does it get better after the next bonfire/area? Or am I in for a ride?[/sp]
[editline]12th April 2017[/editline]
Ok, nevermind, I equipped the GFS and the Silver Knight fight got trivial.
[sp]Holy fuck that hammer and it's moveset, tell me its good for PvP someone. I wanna smash.[/sp]
