I found longswords to be more effective against [sp]Gael[/sp]. I know apparently Wolf Knight Greatsword is good against [sp]him[/sp], but the stamina usage, scaling, and hits of the Sunlight sword work better for my build, and I still haven't won yet.

Simply having it on your person will cause kills to regenerate your FP, allowing you to go nuts with weapon arts without sacrificing estus or levels in attunement. War Cry is a great choice of WA for this, as you can ride that damage buff to the bank and back. Plus, the greatsword 1h r1 is great for catching roll-happy players and other evasive targets, so in the left hand it provides that additional utility as well.

That mad king staff has a shit ton of hyper armor. Can't stagger anybody that uses it.

The 1 handed is easy to parry but it provides the same utilities as the 2handed anyway.

You can parry the 2handed, I just never see people try to parry anymore or they make it super obvious.

To get the Mad Crucifix King, you have to anyway [sp] beat the Spear boss, wake up Filianore which gets you teleported to the desert, go to the right side which leads to a small space and Shira will invade you regardless. Kill her and get the weapon + slab if you didn't did her quest about killing Midir as requested. Reminder that she won't appear if Gael is active and same for him not appearing when Shira invades. The only thing you might miss if you completely ignore Shira is her meh chime that is mostly intended for co op anyway[/sp]

Is anyone else getting "matchmaking canceled" almost fucking constantly in the arena? It's so hard getting into a match now without it either canceling or half my team not showing up.

That and i sometimes i join an arena and nobody appears taking at least 30 seconds before the game tells that everybody returned home

They added resummon cd but instantly broke it with non restricted ALPD summons.

The glitch already existed since I've seen 2 Darkmoons get summoned at the same time in several of my old invasion runs.
