am I missing something or does he just have incredibly high armour?
[sp]You have to find the Stormbreaker, and then you can cheese him.[/sp]
jfc I didn't realise you had to [sp]keep charging the sword L2 until it glows white.[/sp] I've been racking my brain for the past hour trying to figure out what I was doing wrong

Loving the damage and it's not even with red tearstone ring, sacred oath.
Don't know if Morion Blade would be stronger than Old Wolf Curved Sword though

Do things like Pontiff's Right and Carthus Bacon effect Spin2Win arts? Cause you could totally Beyblade bosses to death.
Are refined infusions still worth it on a quality build, or is it better to go with Sharp/Heavy infusions?

Depends on the weapon. Some like the Greataxe are better off with Heavy or Sharp infusions.
I was thinking of it as a more general question, since refined infusions got nerfed in the latest patch.
Although. Currently I'm using the Black Knight Greatsword and Spinleaf Greatsword. I guess they'd get more out of a Heavy Infusion than a refined.

Yeah but it consumes lots of stamina so you're mostly going with a 1k damage or so before you stop plus it uses mana bar so i think the effect becomes weaker.
And oh my god, pvp at "high" level play is so boring.
high level pvp

don't ya just love it when the invader conveniently lags out just before you kill them so they become unkillable at like 10 HP, then they teleport half way across the fuckin' map and have full HP again?
[editline]a[/editline]
it's like i'm playing the original PlanetSide again, where the advantage was always in the hands of people with shit connections on account of the awful netcode.
Any good Dex weapons to try out -now-? I remember the sword from the first DLC was pretty broken from a while
Today I met an invader that I couldn't hit, but they could hit me. Like I could see my spear going through their body, but they didn't even stagger or anything. Assume it was real bad lag but that's still bs
I tried a couple of duels in the undead arena, with some brawls, got only three kills in total and lost every match. :suicide:
I love strength builds, but trying to land hits is PAINFUL.
PvE content with the great club is more or less a breeze, I killed almost every boss solo on my first attempt other than the dancer. I still get caught when I panic roll or do stupid shit like get too greedy, but most of the time I can trade hits with the boss all day because I hit like a truck and have estus to spare.
PvP consists of me trying to land hits, getting train staggered, and dying. Sometimes I land a hit and stagger them enough to follow up with several more, only to have them get away and land a killing blow on me, or heal up.
I two hand the club in almost all situations, and I do not use shields or caestus. Most ripostes are from guard breaking stupid people. Should I even bother to learn how to parry at this rate?
Parrying is nice to have for the people that R1 spam. Just bait people into attacking so you can smack them twice with your weapon and deplete most of their health.

then they just run away and chug and you have to fight them all over again
I usually just chase them down with the caestus when they're rolling/running away. They never get far away enough to heal or if they do heal I just hit them with a bigass weapon again. Just have to keep up the pressure.
It's all about timing and abusing hyperarmor for strength builds. the best weapons in PvP are the ones that do massive per-hit damage. I like the Great Mace, it's pretty fast after the recent weapon rebalance and does about 400-some damage per hit on most enemies, plus it has perseverance as the weapon art. I just run up to people, they expect a running attack, but instead I use the weapon art and smack the shit outta them.

This is the high level pvp i've been talking about. The same person that i managed to defeat before Oceiros in less than a minute since these axes are scary. But it's hard to be aggressive with axes, unlike maces, they have no hyper armor and are still slow to use.
It is my fault for sticking to one weapon and all but boy the experience wasn't great.
When it comes to miracles in general, I prefer far more the lore behind them in Demon's Soul than the one in the Dark Souls trilogy (basically, in the former is heavily implied that [sp]both sorcery and miracles are just two of the many forms the resident ageless, godly abomination's power can take, a la Berserker, if I'm not mistaken[/sp])
I just realized that this game has no ball and chains / flails
it'd be sick to see too.
They could work like, have an absurdly awful wind-up but wicked damage
[editline]16th April 2017[/editline]
since the reality of them is kind of bullshit they could have the special of busting through a shield
Flail weapons from balls to axe like the big snakemen in Archpeak.
Seriously, could be a L1 or weapon art. We even had a whip sword in ds2, i don't know how hard it would be to have something like that.

Even this
[t]http://www.culture24.org.uk/asset_arena/6/00/78/187006/v0_master.jpg[/t]
but longer would be fine
you could hold block to spin it, then use attack to release it. For less damage you can just bash the ball around like it was a rock using light/heavy. Then the special could basically work just like the a does, and bust through shields at the price of a large wind up, which would be a dodgable move that brutally punishes shield abusers at a good range
I know Nioh has one I think but that game only really mimics soulsbourne.
I'm imagining the old Super Castlevania 4 whip where you could whip it or just wiggle it around in front of you like a lemon.
Just beat Artorias for the first time. He wasn't as difficult as I was expecting, only took me like 4 tries until I switched the weapon I was using. Was a damn good fight though, probably one of my favorites

The difference is that's a kusarigama while we're mostly talking of an actual flail weapon.
Plus Nioh uses stances and a skill tree in hack 'n slash fashion (devil may cry, ninja gaiden etc) so Dark Souls games would be very limited on what to do.
The expansion of L1 and Weapon Art could help either way.
(I still want a kusarigama in dark souls, the katana moveset is so boring in Dark Souls sadly)
I don't know if I should run a dex or a str cleric in Dark Souls III.
Turning myself into a literal Spear of the Church sounds good and I've always favored a more faster gameplay, but at this point I may as well play something totally different from my usual, and Wolnir's Holy Sword is fucking badass.
Holy fuck I'm like 4 hit KO in a 1v1 Spear of the Church fight and I have 1500 hp + Boss resist :v:

the 1v1 seems to have almost no resistance so there's that.
1v1 should be hella easy though when you have 2 painting guardians to back you up. I almost never lose on 1v1's, but ganks are a more 50/50 chance for me.

I legit unironically waited 2 hours before I was finally summoned as a Darkmoon. And then the host immediately died when I spawned in. :v: Increasing the slot limit to 2 didn't seem to change anything.

It's a real shame there is no Blue Eye Orb, just to give blue dorks something else to do. As a filthy invader, I'd welcome the extra challenge of getting invaded by blues. That's something I really missed from DS1/2.
I can understand why they didn't bring it back, though. Sin doesn't work the same way it did in previous games since invading no longer gives you sin, so the Blue Eye Orb would become pointless.
