Vit is your fashion stat
Why pvp is so garbage in DaS3? I spent 300h+ and yet to have any fun in pvp. Both DaS and DaS2 most of my death in pvp were against simply better players and only few were because of dumb cheese builds. In DaS3 almost every attempt at arena ends up with "What an actual fuck was that?!" with me being killed 3 miles away from enemy or by some retarded stunlock. Parry the, you say? Ha! The game completely ignores my parries, not even caestus works. The most I've got was shitty partial parry which kills me pretty often at low hp. Not to mention when I try to make some cool looking build it ends up with me having almost zero chance against another fucking frayed blade or paired ugs. Back to offline mode I guess. [sp]sorry guys[/sp]
I'd give you tips, but I have no idea what build you're even using or what strategies you've used. If Paired UGS is seriously giving you THAT big of a problem, get a weapon with Perseverance. Congrats, you now win every match.
claiming you died to good players more often than cheesy builds in Dark Souls 2 is honestly a big fat lie

say that to my 50vit build's face not online and see what happens
I think I just ran into a very weird hack. I invaded a dudes world and as I was jogging up to hit him he black crystal'd me out of his world.
I'm binging the bloodborne OST and I just need somewhere to vent this, Bloodborne is a fucking masterpiece. The best game I've ever played. [editline]18th April 2017[/editline] "ah... you were by my side all along..." FUCK YES
Sony knows what people like.
Sony also gave us Adam Sandler movies.
Pvp in a game that is 90+% about pve will never be that good. [editline]17th April 2017[/editline] I'm a str player and I never level vit, endurance never above 15.
Damn, I thought my dedication to 20 Endurance was low.
Damn, I thought my dedication to 20 Endurance was low.
I've actually got a character at 10. You only ever need enough for two hits and a dodge.
I've actually got a character at 10. You only ever need enough for two hits and a dodge.
I tried playing a character at low endurance and its like turning on slow mode. I sit at a minimum of 35 and always have the chloranthy ring, without it the game feels like a waiting simulator with how much i have to disengage and take a breather because my character once again ran out of stamina. Getting upwards of 7 swings with a two-handed greatsword also throws invaders for a loop, even more so when I can two-hand a medium shield and laugh at them when they try to break it.
I've prefer to have too much stamina than have a precise amount tbh. Having wiggle room is nice.
You could put those points for extra endurance into hitting things even harder. Bench presses > cardio.
You could put those points for extra endurance into hitting things even harder. Bench presses > cardio.
Are you stat gouging for spell buffs or something? 40 vgr 40 end 66 str on a warrior actually leaves me with enough leftover stats to adapt to whatever I'm trying to hold (SL111, so 9 more vit for 20 or 9 more dex for 18 [that being the highest dex requirement I know of on a str weapon]) [editline]17th April 2017[/editline] And that's not even with the Prisoner's Chain or Knight's Ring
You could put those points for extra endurance into hitting things even harder. Bench presses > cardio.
Into what tho, i already have 40 vig, 40 str, and 40 dex. destroying my stamina to do 5-10 more points of damage seems useless, considering I can get more str/dex via a ring, but you can't really do the same with stamina.
Not many games are worth buying an entire system for. Bloodborne is an exception to that. If you love Dark Souls then Bloodborne is worth the money. It's the most well made out of all of the games. My literal only complaint is that you can't reallocate points like in DS2 and DS3.
I came in here just to ask how people think Bloodborne compares to DS3 because I bought a PS4 over the weekend just to play it and it's great. I haven't finished it but so far every area just looks so fantastic and compelling.
Man, I'd really love to play Bloodborne at some point but the chances of me buying a console are next nill.

I'd probably level vit before end too just to see what I could get away with <25% equip load.

I got a Xbone controller time to wreck scrubs in undead arena without misclick again

VIT helps, it isn't DS1 tier level but having 25 VIT, fully wear Winged Knight Set and i survive enough. Also yeah Ring of Steel Protection +3 gives a 5% of defense on PVP so you can get some absorption of 47% max (i think). I can say that because i have many 10 VIT characters and boy they die faster. Have a melee INT sorcerer that has 8 VIT and man it's suffering. EDIT: By DS1, i know it's based on Endurance but having heavy armor kind of helps a bit. Overlevveling VIT? Mmh, i never reached over 30, never felt the need with all the good rings
DS3 multiplayer was a blast - played the whole game with a friend with constant Dried Fingers on, resulting in an endless stream of invasions, duels, backstabs and laughs. Though I feel like some people take it way too seriously.

My main char is like a STR-Quality-Vit hybrid at SL125. The magic of using a Havel's ring don heavy armor with a big-ass weapon. Or heavy armor while being armed to the teeth.
weren't you bitching for like two years straight about losing to havel clowns in ds2
BoB arena was plagued with them, I bet you know it better than me. Also because mundane infusion wasn't nerfed back then. Gave me good enough reason to permanently move to Iron Keep bridge. Also getting constantly matched against american, canadian and chinese players makes the whole thing even worse.
Welp, I'm officially losing interest in PvP again. It's no fun trying out weird/interesting builds when every single person I fight against is using one of 4 weapons and wins by stunlocking me to death in a few hits. Even with some of the recent buffs, a lot of weapons in this game are just... Pointless. I tried making builds based around the Golden Ritual Spear, Yorshka's Spear, the White Birch Bow, the Repeating Crossbow, and a dozen or so other ones that I can't even remember, and all of them were absolute garbage despite me trying multiple different stat combinations with them. It's baffling to me that these weapons have remained so utterly useless since launch. Meanwhile, the Ringed Paired Greatswords, Ringed Knight Sword and Faded Blade are all anybody else seems to be using, with the occasional Ringed Knight Spear or Straight Sword. I think I also fought one guy using the Dragonslayer Swordspear? But everybody else was using one of the above mentioned weapons. Literally every single one.
I don't get you guys Why are you complaining about some of the worst options in the game being bad? There's plenty of unhortodox stuff you can run with - and even win fights with - but there being more variety than the 40/40 Refined meta that plagued the game up until recently still doesn't mean that literally every weapon is viable
I don't get you guys Why are you complaining about some of the worst options in the game being bad? There's plenty of unhortodox stuff you can run with - and even win fights with - but there being more variety than the 40/40 Refined meta that plagued the game up until recently still doesn't mean that literally every weapon is viable
I'm annoyed by their being "worst options" in the first place. Compare DS3's weapons with, say, DS2. Now DS2 gets a lot of flak for a lot of good reasons, but I'll say this much about it: I almost never felt like a weapon "wasn't worth using". I could build a pretty decent character using practically any weapon in that game, and when I did PvP, I encountered countless different combinations, tactics and weapon uses. Sure, it had its "meta" too, but at least I could try out weird build options and not feel like I was doing something stupid. Not every weapon was viable, but a lot of them were. But in DS3, we have basically 3 tiers of weapons: "Meta" weapons that 90% of the game's population uses and that are reliable most of the time. "Decent" weapons that you can probably use through most of the PvE game and that will be okay in capable hands in PvP, but don't really stand up to the "Meta" weapons. And "Shite" weapons that are useless, boring, unintuitive garbage that's almost impossible to do anything with. Most of the game's weapons fall into either the "Decent" or "Shite" category, which sucks because a lot of them could be really cool if they'd been given decent stats. Take Yorshka's Spear for instance: I actually managed to get a kill with this weapon using a faith/quality build. But the weapon's one unique feature - its Weapon Art that drains FP - did exactly nothing to help me. I was fighting against a pyromancer using the Onyx Greatsword, so you'd think that the FP drain would have been a good thing to use, right? Seeing as the guy would be relying on spells from long distance? Well, I hit the guy around 4 or 5 times with the Weapon Art active, and heard the little whooshing noise that signified his FP was being drained. So I thought to myself "Sweet! Now try casting your fancy pyromancy!" Immediately after this, he cast two Black Serpents, a Chaos Bed Vestiges and a Black Flame, all in quick succession. I managed to kill him on my next hit, but after that I saw no point in continuing with the build because I'd have been better off using any other faith scaling weapon! The one cool thing that Yorshka's Spear does, and it's useless. It's the same problem I mentioned before with the crossbows: The weapons down in the "Shite" teir might as well not exist. They're literally not worth using in their current state and none of them have been given adequate buffs since the game launched. So all we ever see in PvP (and PvE for that matter) is the same 4 or 5 boring ass builds over and over and over again. No variety, no interesting situations, just the metagame. Fighting against the same 4 weapons gets old really, really fast.
So many hecking Forbidden Sun in co-op Undead Arena Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
