emergency webm: post this when someone says DSII is the best dark souls [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/omhcep.webm[/vid]
I don't get it, is this like a comparison of the two pseudo-hardest bosses I actually haven't fought Fume Knight before come to think of it :v:
I don't get it, is this like a comparison of the two pseudo-hardest bosses I actually haven't fought Fume Knight before come to think of it :v:
I think the point is that Fume Knight and a lot of DSII bosses are just big guys who walk up to you and sluggishly swing at you. Whereas in DSIII you have bosses like Gael who are doing flips and shit with cool particle effects.
Speaking of DS2, I've been rolling a character in it because I've yet to beat it, and I beat the holy hell out of DS3. I've never been so utterly let down than after going back to DS2
Would you console owners consider Bloodborne to be even faster or slower compared to DS3
Sl120 welp i think i might stop going that level. Pretty much people few wweapon or the ones that heavily rely on 2 weapons that make his game silly to play (get hyper armor weapon tgen switch to katana or weapon for roll catch or very fast attack) It's a bit disheartening. Might try lower or higher where people might not care the meta.
that might as well be DS1 or DeS footage in place of the DS2 footage for all the worth it has as a legitimate comparison. DS2 is not a worse game just because it's slower.
No, it's worse because I've fought 6 bosses that were nothing but "guy in armor" that waddled around like they had a load of shit in their pants. Or the hit-stun that locks a player in place long enough that an unrelated enemy can walk up and get all slap-happy on you. Or even adaptability. Or the unreliable weapon ranges where my longsword only reaches out to about arm's reach. DS2 has many problems. Slow is just one of many. [editline]18th April 2017[/editline]
Would you console owners consider Bloodborne to be even faster or slower compared to DS3
It's a fair bit faster than DS3.
Raime, the Fume Knight would actually be one of my favorite bosses from the entire series if it wasn't for that Bride of Ash bullshit
Would you console owners consider Bloodborne to be even faster or slower compared to DS3
Much faster, it feels like DS3 got its faster combat cues from BB. In BB you also have the 100mph sidestep instead of DS3's rolls.
Why pvp is so garbage in DaS3? I spent 300h+ and yet to have any fun in pvp. Both DaS and DaS2 most of my death in pvp were against simply better players and only few were because of dumb cheese builds. In DaS3 almost every attempt at arena ends up with "What an actual fuck was that?!" with me being killed 3 miles away from enemy or by some retarded stunlock. Parry the, you say? Ha! The game completely ignores my parries, not even caestus works. The most I've got was shitty partial parry which kills me pretty often at low hp. Not to mention when I try to make some cool looking build it ends up with me having almost zero chance against another fucking frayed blade or paired ugs. Back to offline mode I guess. [sp]sorry guys[/sp]
I'll be honest DS1 pvp was actual complete garbage. it wasn't even a matter of skill it was a matter of perfecting backstabs and nothing else nothing but twinking and backstab fishing because of how op backstabs were. Not only that but humanity was a thing. ds2 had better pvp but also magic that wasn't trash and had some solid variation, but you can't pretend it didn't have absolute cheese bullshit builds like hexkatana jester havels. DS3 could have better pvp than ds2 but they removed the left hand weapon feature and made magic too slow to be practical in a fight. They sped weapons and dodge up and then never did it to sorcery, faith however is too weaksauce for that so, that's a thing.
"PvP sucks because all people use are the Paired Greatswords." There is a simple solution to this.
Okay real talk, I have never once been able to parry somebody with these goddamn things. Not once. Parrying dagger? Shields? Claws? Sure. Fucking cestus? Not once.
Parry? Who's talking about parrying? :v: I'm talking about this~ [t]https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/91604568954293220/AC89F94D50F97FC45B414F4D232CF4DC39C59C01/[/t]
I've never cared to or was able to learn parries mostly because of how I've managed with magic and UGS's + daggers so much in ds2 [editline]18th April 2017[/editline]
Parry?
emergency webm: post this when someone says DSII is the best dark souls [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/omhcep.webm[/vid]
I rather have precise stamina management with slow but deadly knight than mindless rollspam with buff Santa on cocaine. Comparison with Sir Alonne would be even better since he's pretty aggressive and has fast moves.

When i saw the caestus having perseverance, i got dissapointed. At least Demon's fists have HA on its weapon art.

When i saw the caestus having perseverance, i got dissapointed. At least Demon's fists have HA on its weapon art.
Why? Also, Flame Whirlwind's damage is so little it's almost always never a good idea to trade hits with it. It's better for catching people off guard.
Why? Also, Flame Wheel's damage is so little it's almost always never a good idea to trade hits with it. Useful yes but not into it. I expected more punch stuff on the weapon art. Though i'll probably understand the caestus being way worse if it doesn't have a way to poise through attacks since its range is terrible to begin with.

Been using a short sword my whole playthrough. Finally slapped a slab onto it as well. Feeling good. Is the shorts word okay though? D:
Been using a short sword my whole playthrough. Finally slapped a slab onto it as well. Feeling good. Is the shorts word okay though? D:
I don't know about shorts words, but short swords are ok in ds2 because of the moveset ds3 probably not as much
So basically it's just not flashy enough?
I'd be happy if it had a hyper armor weapon art\bonefist attack. Again, it's just dissapointment. Ds2 had its tornado attack that was super awful. Also probably because i can't really get used to the range of L1 in this game compared to 2. I have to start with a R1 since it's a bit longer and then L1.
Funny, because the running L1 attack is deceptively long compared to the regular R1 running attack. It's so easy catching people trying to flee with it.
The running L1 IS good, it also procs the right eye ring at ease. I'm speaking of standing L1 versus standing R1 though.
I was hoping they would bring back the DS2 bone fist...
The only bone fist I accept.
Short sword in DS3 is cool due to it having the thrusting attack R2 (which is a true combo, btw), but it's still kinda short
The running L1 IS good, it also procs the right eye ring at ease. I'm speaking of standing L1 versus standing R1 though.
one of my favourite strategies is using the R1 jab to stagger my opponent (it's extremely fast and covers a decent amount of space) and then hit them with the L1
I wish I was able to play Bloodborne, but I don't have a PS4. T-T
I'm annoyed by their being "worst options" in the first place.
I fully agree. There's no "It's not as good as the other weapons but with other rewards." with Dark Souls 3. It's either really good or unusuable. Take the Wooden Mallet. I perfectly understand why it would be less effective than other Greathammers, but there are fucking straight swords in the game that do more damage than it. There are daggers with more damage and versatile uses than the fucking Wooden Mallet. It's so bad that there's literally no reason to use it when it's a rare drop with less ar than 99% of the weapons in the game. You can get to Irithyll and get Smough's Greathammer in under an hour. You can get Vordt's Greathammer from literally the second boss of the game. The Wooden Mallet isn't the only weapon that suffers from this. The majority of weapons in DS3 feel hilariously ineffective and fail at even doing what they are. Why bother using them when the game literally hands you better weapons? I've been playing since launch and I literally just saw someone using the Zweihander for the first time. I forgot that weapon even existed in this game because there are better and easier to obtain Ultra Greatswords. Why use Crystal Rapier for your Int build when you can just use literally any other Rapier and get better damage? Why use Earthshaker when you get better ar and moveset versatility using the normal Greataxe? Why use something like the Golden Ritual Spear at all? It's a sorcery based spear that scales on Faith. Why invest in that when you could instead invest in the Onyx Blade for better damage and a better moveset? There's no purpose for more than half of the weapons in the game because there are just better and easier alternatives.
I was hoping they would bring back the DS2 bone fist...
we will never be able to combine the bone fist with the wolf knight greatsword for the ultimate anime character experience this is the darkest of all timelines
I was hoping they would bring back the DS2 bone fist...
Believe me, I share in your pain. No more hadoukens for us...
I'm still mad that ds3 has no vanq seal [editline]18th April 2017[/editline] DS3 also removed the Baneful Bird Ring in ds2 shields were shit and then ds3 made shields great again I would have loved a Baneful Bird Ring + Stam ring + Great shield of glory combo at that point I wouldn't even need Great Magic Shield. Great Magic Shield + Gloryshield pretty much allows for infinite stamina as it is :v:
