Dark Souls + Demon's Souls + Bloodborne Megathread XIII. The Ringed City

I find it amusing the only Wolf Ring that actually makes a difference is the fully upgraded +3 version. Any other one is useless.
Doing some stupid fashion, i forgot to switch off the lorian leggings with black iron ones.

Also doing dual greatsword for Executioner Greatsword offhand and to give that DS2 feel :v:
Also happy that i can reliably beat the optional ringed city boss without wasting too much estus and in 1 try, i fell in love with the Bastard Sword.
[sp]I thought there was an empty chest back there? Maybe I'm mis-remembering. Though I'm surprised people wouldn't recognize Frampt's hidey-hole immediately.[/sp]
It really wasn't [sp]empty, it would re-spawn items necessary to progress the story however - such as the Covenant of Artorias[/sp]
the wolf ring is real
1-handed R1 tanked. Wonder what would've happened if it was 2-handed or a WA attack.

They did it again
I don't know about you all but I've been using the starting knight armor all game.
Also is there a way around the two handed shield door? The side attack of the handmaiden dagger looks like it could work but I haven't tested yet.

Elemental damage chips through (although that'll require a lot of patience), you can use the Shield Splitter and Blind Spot skills, and the doors have a "hole" at the end of the running charge attack where they aren't actually blocking
EDIT : Reapers also let some physical damage through

[sp]Oh no, I was referring to the presence empty chest in Dark Souls 3 just after the Demon Prince fight. I remember that idiot-prevention box being there in DaS1.[/sp]
So i started an aggromod-gravelorded run, hilarity ensued (sorta)
the burg drake decided to let me kill him for souls
[t]http://imgur.com/iqaffvG.jpg[/t]
then the camera decided to lock onto invisible things in the valley of drakes
[t]http://imgur.com/rP005WM.jpg[/t]
turns out its the ghosts, wanting to be scary
[t]http://imgur.com/Ruh0pPj.jpg[/t]
then the sen's berenike knight decided to ignore me
[t]http://imgur.com/qgeRoGb.jpg[/t]
and when I freed logan, he immediately stepped off the path and killed himself
Hey guys, I found a copy of Dark Souls at Walmart for $9! I've heard good things about these games. Can't wait to see what all the hubbubs about!

I got invaded right after killing the ancient wyvern and here I am thinking I'm at a disadvantage because I'm stuck in the little area near the 2nd bondfire with no maneuver room. The invader lasted 30 seconds because they kept trying to parry a 2-handed UGS non-rolling attacks. :v:

I'll take 20.
I do hope that's Hunter Henriett on the right

Max vigor and vitality and then raw weapon. Reminds my dragon build on ds2.

it ends up being better to spend at least a little on faith for those sweet sweet defensive buffs
that and havels shield needs at least 40 strength
[editline]24th April 2017[/editline]
havels with stone flesh + sacred oath
tried deep protection too but just isn't significant enough to notice
Just ran into some dude with a perma-buffed (w/ Sunlight blade infusion aka Dragonslayer Swordspear) Morne's hammer that does ~800 damage through resist in undead arena
Fun times

Jesus, how long does it take to find players at that SL?

time for cosplay
well, it's 102% equip load with my current stat but who cares, dont need roll when you got fashion

It's possible to make a version of the build that's under 70% equip burden
Requires 56 vitality, ring of favor + 3, Havel's ring + 3 and prisoners chain. You'll be at SL 120 if Strength/vigor/endurance are at 40 and you chose the warrior class.

I've seen invaders full geared up like that so it's a Vitality stat commitment along with the rings.

Don't gimp yourself with 100%, it is not worth it. Could give some laugh managing to beat someone by slow walking but it'll end up getting bored moving many areas.
I almost want to coop with an ultra low level player again
it was so fun having everything in the game and cooping with my bf who played for the first time
[editline]24th April 2017[/editline]
I also kind of wish there was a way I could de-level, as silly as fuck as that seems
if the minimum was around 100 or so it'd be totally fair and shit too
creating a new character with the spells and gear I have takes an unbelievable amount of work and I already have 2 other characters that are reasonably leveled
I deeply regret watching TBFP's play-through of DSIII when it first came out. For whatever reason, I was in the depressive mindset that I'd never be able to eventually build a good PC later on, and now that I have, it feels pointless.
I just picked up Bloodborne today, and this is the most frustratingly addictive bullshit I've ever played. It's my first time playing any game with the "souls" play style, so the learning curve has been quite harsh.
After 4 hours of playing, I've unlocked the way to the first 2 bosses (Cleric Beast and Father Gascoigne.) After attempting both of them once to see what they're like, Cleric Beast is definitely gonna be a struggle to take down, and Father Gascoigne seems not be too bad.
You know, if there was ever a whole series i could go through and wipe my memory of to experience it all over again, the Soulsborne series would be it.

i never understood this "wiping memory to replay a game" thing. won't you just go through the same experience again except now there is a big chunk of memory that has been deleted from your brain and also lots of time needlessly wasted
like, don't be sad that it's over my friend be h a p p y that it h a p p n e d :)
It always feels like the first time when I play Bloodborne. You can take that as you will.

Give me this
Wonder why Fromsoft hasn't fixed action queuing being paused when getting staggered.
It's gets really annoying when you mess up a roll and then have no control when your character then automatically panic-rolls into your enemy's next attack.
