What if Smough was actually naked this whole time?
Really makes you think, huh?

What if quelaag was actually a normal woman in a spider shaped walker
Everybody knows that Artorias was the first furry in the Dark Souls universe, he loved wolves so fucking much. The Abyss Watchers were so fanboyish about his godlike yiffery that they became beta-furries.
So, beat Soul of Cinder. Not much to say, other than it's a damn appropriately hard fight. I'd have expected it to be a touch easier after dealing with Nameless, but I think it was almost MORE frustrating till I realized I could block some of his swings when he used certain weapons. First time I bothered with the stamina regen greens.
Good thing is, his second phase as Gwyn is actually easier to deal with, especially since he no longer does that shit where he charges you during item use.
Probably would've been easier to summon someone, but I wasn't about to cheese the game's final challenge.
Now I've recreated my recent character from DS1, but this time I'm going hugely for intelligence, and disregarding strength and dex as much as possible.
So, as a result, I know I need some infusion work for my rapier. I started with Raw to eliminate the scaling issue early on, hoping to do crystal later.
Now I have it though... I'm not sure about it. It's hard to tell at times, and I expect enemies with different resistance stats to behave differently to magic damage, but I really wanted to hope infusing weapons wasn't yet another exercise in pointlessness by From.
I mean, come on, with the shift to INT scaling it's obviously MADE with casters in mind, so it really can't be my only recourse to go back to Raw for the flat damage, can it?
I know it's been the same tired story with infusions from game to game, about split damage being worthless... but how? How can an entire branch of weapon upgrading and customization just be something we ignore, because physical damage absolutely trumps EVERYTHING?
Yeah, I know sharp, heavy, hollow and refined are all good, but how does EVERYTHING related to split damage remain worthless after several games worth of development and experimentation?
Just... please, PLEASE someone make an argument for why crystal infusions are viable... or why they're not, I don't care at this point.
I have an int/faith build in DS1 that I'm thinking about trying again, should I just say fuck it to dex and strength and just do a raw infusion? As useful as magic is, it always comes down to the sword.
It's better to go with a fire or lightning weapon over raw in ds1.

If you're talking about recreating it in ds3, ya just stick with raw.
-WHOOPS, I'm late- :v:

More bosses are weak to lightning, than fire.

I mean in DS1. I stopped playing when I got the depths because I remembered how much of a maze that area is and I didn't want to deal with that again

billions of ideas get lost in beta's
this is likely just another one of those
That's what turned into the ringed city dlc.

I always thought that version of the sun looked much cooler than what we got.

The company behind a lot of Dark Souls 3 art, Passion Republic, made a series of dark souls-inspired concept art that people took as actual concepts and called them leaks
for example, that large worm thing in the background to the right is taken from these
said concept art page

I really like the idea of a bell on a chain as a weapon. That would've been badass. Reminds me of the Sacred Chime Hammer.
Their original inspired work looks infinitely better than the work they did for Dark Souls 3.

What if Gwyndolin was an actual girl
What if Andre was actually a great chest?
If you combine all Andres, you'll be granted an amazing chest.
Speaking of amazing stuff, who wants a WEEKEND FIGHT CLUB
I'd also like to toy with the idea of a Facepunch PvP tournament, if that's fine with you folks

Why would you start with any other item, though?
It's an optional area only if a player knows in advance about the role of the Master Key item beforehead, yes.
We must always imagine ourselves in the shoes of a new player.
And by the way, the Depths aren't that much of a hard level to navigate if you managed to get to that point, but the true difficulty spike of the area are the basilisks and their curse clouds, with the results we all know.
When I tried to replay Dark Souls, my hugest turn on from the whole experience was to clear the Depths without dying once and kill all the resident basilisks in the process

Holy crap, I smashed that CelticWarlock guy, at 3:10, multiple times in a playthrough! It's hilarious seeing people I fought in other videos.
Why would you start with any other item, though?
Sometime I start with black firebomb for the meme hammer early game
[editline]26th April 2017[/editline]
Actually the Depth wasn't really that big of a challenge for me, I remember I still got stuck in my current Dks1 playthrough because I'm lost in the Duke's Archive
[editline]26th April 2017[/editline]
I really should complete Dks1
I think you guys are forgetting that you can go to the Valley of Drakes without the master key, through that elevator by that one black knight in darkroot garden.
Just beat the Cleric Beast and unlocked the Kirkhammer. The sword side is nice and quick, but the hammer feels too clunky. Any recommended uses for this?

The hammer is great for taking down larger enemies, as you can chain stagger them to death with little effort. You can use the sword for the smaller mobs.
Keep in mind that you can find the Whirligig Saw in the first DLC area after killing Vicar Amelia without having to face any additional bosses, and it does practically everything the hammer does, but better (serrated, better damage, better scaling, and stagger).

It isn't one of those ones that "dont move" until you get it from the other side? I know for sure it starts in the votd position, at least.
