I just wished the spear's backstab from ds2 was back in 3 in some different way.
The way you impale the enemy is rad.
I JUST realized these two are Dancer and Vordt:

I've always wondered what the point of those two ghosts were in Irithyll, but now I realized.
On a scale of 1-10 how many years am I late? :v:
Is there anyone around SL 140 that could help me with the Fume Knight in DS2 SotFS PC, Im getting my ass handed to me and theres nobody around the summon ;~;

Matchmaking in ds2 isn't SL based, we need your soul MEMORY to help you out
-snip- Nevermind I did it!
if you want to jump you could always have 2 invaders launch you with a great bow
that'd totally work :v:

Memories of Chivalry Ballista
Just finished a playthrough as a Pyromancer. Now I'm eager to try out a pure strength build with no magic.
Any suggestions for a good Greatsword build?

My personal favorite str weapon is the reinforced club. Can dish out a lot of damage per hit, fairly quick, and can make things bleed.

If you really want a greatsword, I'd say go for an ultra.

I should have specified, I meant the weapon of the same name. The Berserk-looking sword. I know the Greatsword is classed as an UGS which is funny to me.
That's my favorite UGS. Ya just go 40 str and be under 70% equip load and you're golden.

Unless you mean Ultra Greatswords, in which case I personally like the Astora Greatsword due to how lightweight and versatile it is.
Can't say I disagree with that guy tbh, fuck Gael's Greatsword.
holy shit ng+ pvp is cancer especially aldrich invasions.

Game state has no relation to pvp. Just soul/weapon level.
Heavy Lothric Knight Greatsword has the highest ar at just 40 str and a really good moveset if you don't mind split lightning/phys damage

Split damage tends to give higher damage numbers, but that is merely a fabrication. The ACTUAL damage it deals tends to be less than a pure physical weapon since they have to deal with multiple resistances.
Easiest example is Dragonslayer's Greataxe vs. regular Greataxe. DSGA can easily go over 720+ AR while regular Greataxe can reach around 630+, yet Greataxe does significantly more damage per hit.

ok im gonna rephrase that then. lvl 100 pvp at aldrich is cancer.
I even managed to invade a world where the host had reds helping him gank aldrich faithful.
How does people manage to hit 600 through resist in SL120~130
I have like 35 everything resist because heavy armor fashion and I still get hit like 500 600 from time to time :(
Non min-maxed struggle
[editline]28th April 2017[/editline]
Zweihander is actually a pretty underrated meme since the 1H heavy is a thrust (most UGS only does thrust with 2H) and you can easily rotate between parry and leo ring poke
Has the damage of a straight sword though

Because absorption means fuck-all in PvP

They seems to be working when I'm doing the hitting though
I'm heading into Old Yharnam after beating Vicar Amelia (I feel lame again because I summoned the nearby NPC hunter to help me) and I haven't found any new weapons yet. Do they not give you new weapons very often or are they well hidden?

There are only 26 Weapons in Bloodborne, 11 of which are DLC only. Reason being each weapon has so many different attacks and ways to use them. A lot of the weapons are found on NPCs by killing them or completing their questlines. You can get a Saw Spear in the first area of the game in the sewer area with the rats, Old Yharnam has the minigun dude who you can kill for the badge that gives you the Stake Driver. You can also kill Eileen the Crow right at the start near the place where the Saw Spear is found, giving you the badge that lets the vendor sell the Blades of Mercy. There's also a giant pig in the first area down in the sewers you can kill for a badge that lets you buy the other starting weapons. If you go to the Healing Church Workshop, you can get a Radiant Sword Hunter badge that lets you buy Ludwig's Holy Blade, one of the best weapons in the game IMO.
The rest are just found later usually. I went off on a bit of a tangent there but I thought I'd give you some locations if you wanna experiment with new weapons.

I do that sometimes.
Revenge for all the times aldritch fuckheads have shown to me how dickish they are. I can count on one hand the number of honorable/friendly/not an asshole who interrupts 1v1s/not an assholes who attacks while i'm fighting normal enemies Aldritch Faithful who have invaded me or a host that I was aiding/invading.
And thus the vicious cycle continues.
I personally don't care what reds do. Being an Aldrich is a fun challenge to see how many dudes you can kill before you finally get to the host. If I have to slap a few disorderly reds in the face to do it, then fine by me. :v:

I'm so sorry, I know it's trying to be all serious and touching and it's a really good picture (of a good storyline) but every single time I see that helmet the only thing I can hear in my head is "WASSUUUUUP??"
So I finally got the alternative ending to DS2, what exactly does it imply?
I just got the season pass. Anything I should know before jumping in?
Holy shit... this is what I'd been fearing all game...
Pontiff. Fucking Pontiff.
I think I've woken the neighbors and forced their fingers to hover over the send button to the cops for how hellacious this fight has been.
Because this time around, I'm disregarding fights I already soloed if they're an issue, and REFUSING to get summon help for bosses I already beat with them. So that makes Pontiff and the Princes my key targets, just to say I beat them without help, and don't ever have to feel guilty on subsequent playthroughs.
Course, helps nothing I'm a mage, which is borderline worthless against Sully and his style of combat. Really only useful in trying to get rid of his clone, and even then it's likely to get you killed. And of course, I have a small health pool, and I'm not wasting all my embers on a fight I'm hugely likely to die in.
Really, he telegraphs his attacks easier than some of later notorious bosses, but that still just means he's dodgeable. Work a normal attack into that without fucking up, I dare you.
Obviously, his thing is parries.
I thought he'd be easier even with my medium shield, but I still wound up disappointed as I only parried him occasionally, on his big and obvious charge attack.
Eventually, I realized I needed to tell blocking in general to fuck-off, and bought the buckler with it's comparatively huge parry window.
NOW we're talking. I'm learning a fuckton about parries here even as I still fucking fail. For instance, even as I managed to parry him, often I'd hit the attack button and just do a normal strike instead of riposte. Had to learn that you need to walk into them and do it, like a backstab.
My own frustrations aside, I've managed to quickly push him into 1/4 health with SOME consistency, but that second phase is just brutal. In some ways a gift, because if the clone hits you, you get some invincibility stagger frames where Pontiff himself can't follow up per se. But I just can't focus long enough between two of them to finish him off.
THIS is where the magic comes in, because two good shots with a great soul arrow can destroy it. I'd just get it in the first few seconds it's summoned, but I can't quite deal enough damage to finish it at that moment. ALMOST, but not quite, before they lay the gank down.
And even when you DO, it's a race to see how fast you fuck up, because without the clone he goes CRAZY aggressive and will probably land a hit in that kills you.
If I could stop panicking fast enough to parry it'd probably be over, but my instinct it to roll mid-combo, so I don't. And I swear, a lot of times you'll roll without meaning to, because you hit the button before the character responds, change your mind, but still do it anyway, so you end your roll right INTO his combo instead of dodging it. DEAD.
Honestly, it feels like I should go out and grind more. Hell, maybe even see if I can kill the Dancer early, because that will be a REALLY different fight with magic on my side. Because if I can do just a bit more damage, get a bit more stamina or some more health in my pool, I can probably pull this off. Admittedly, I'm trying to off Pontiff before even heading off to Yhorm's.
One way another, this fucker is going to be mine at some point, and then I'll never deal with him solo again, lol

The greatsword as in the ugs greatsword is pretty amazing because it just does pure damage
Because absorption means fuck-all in PvP
I think you mean Defense
absorption is based on a % which means 30% means 30% reduced
its pretty important and truly shines in heavy gear
[editline]28th April 2017[/editline]
and then there is defense which is based on what the fuck ever insane math that is based on

That Sir Bot'c likely went in search of a cure to the curse, or at least a way to null its effects once it has already happened as shown by the crown's effects on already hollowed.
