How are things two shotting you at 1900 hp? I got 1000 hp and I can reliably take 3-4 hits from the bigger enemies.
NG+
NG+
I'm on NG+4 and can still take several hits, with 2000 hp
Damage is extremely high on NG, and NG+ knocks it up another notch. Things can readily kill you if you're not careful. Might also be you lack armor.
How tough is the DLC at NG+? I never bother making a second character so I'm waiting for the DLC to unlock at SL 120 at Lothric Castle.
Damage is extremely high on NG, and NG+ knocks it up another notch. Things can readily kill you if you're not careful. Might also be you lack armor.
I was running through with the Black Iron set and ~1500 health and was shredded pretty quick by most things. And somehow the Murkmen did more damage to me than the Harald knights did. Still, made it through pretty alright. Frankly a lot of the areas were a slog to get through, and [sp]making the Judicators respawn was a goddamn stupid decision[/sp] but the bosses and items made up for it pretty well. Well, [sp]barring Midir, haven't managed to take that one down yet.[/sp] And holy shit do they [sp]shower you in Chunks and Slabs. Even managed to get two Scales to drop off a Ringed Knight and even those were fairly plentiful in general.[/sp]
How the fuck do you deal with [sp]Darkeater Midir's bullshit super laser attack during his second phase where he charges up and then completely covers the entire room with his fucking explosive laser that near one shots me at 38 vigor while embered. Seriously, everytime he does it, it's basically game over for me[/sp]
I wouldn't mind the high damage if some enemies weren't such sponges. Because NG Ringed City manages to make Soul of Cinder look like a baby.
I didn't have any problems with enemies being sponges aside from [sp]Gael[/sp], but I think that's because I was using str weapons. I can imagine they'd take forever with a dex build.
I'm on NG+4 and can still take several hits, with 2000 hp
[sp]Midir's charge and tail swipe[/sp] oneshot me with 1550 hp and ~33 damage absorption. Whole dlc feels like all enemies got triple hp and double damage. Using weapon slower than a claymore is literally handicapping yourself for no good reason. AoA was reasonably hard without making everything a damage sponge.
I'm on NG+6 with 1.2K HP and damage is raw and sore. Let's just say I've died more then I'm okay with.
I have 1.4k unembered. I feel your pain.
Don't get me wrong [sp]Gael is a great fight. But holy fuck is Gael some fucking nothingness. I don't give a shit who he is, and he's really... really not relevant to the overall story. You could have picked any other human character and they would have seen just as important. I mean, I saw fighting him after beating AoA, but as the final DARK SOULS BOSS EVER? Fuck off. It's atrocious and answers nothing.[/sp]

I can imagine they'd take forever with a dex build.
Man if i feel NG has some sponges bosses\enemies, i'm not gonna enjoy NG+ of this DLC. I guess that's the demoralizing part.
I cannot for the life of me complete the boss [sp] Spear of the Church [/sp] like holy fuck sauce.
I've never really liked NG+ in the souls games. They never really change anything up aside from +damage +hp. It'd be nice if NG+ meant that some enemies have some extra movesets and weapon variation. Also, [sp]Midir[/sp] is hilariously easy, but damn that took forever. Huge shame that you can't [sp]cut off the tail.[/sp]
Man, I died more times to [sp]Midir[/sp] than I'd like to admit, but at least I got him. Dumb lizard needs to stop jumping around so much so I can properly caress his tail with my sword. :rrerr: Boss video is up, by the way. Spoilers, obviously. [sp]Just killed Gael for the first time on my pure pyro caster. I gotta say he was surprisingly easy. I was one hit from killing him my first go, took 2 more tries to beat him. Not sure how I feel about that as the last boss. Especially considering the trouble I had with the first boss of the DLC.[/sp] [editline]29/03/17[/editline]
Pictures.
Took a picture myself. At least i'm so happy to say the music once again never fails to impress me. Listening with headphones was a joy to my ears.
Pictures.
Sorry for the delay, but here you go.
Took a picture myself.
Interesting to see that it does the same thing on males as well. That I did not know.
Completed the DLC, except for [sp]Midir (yet)[/sp], gotta say that while some parts felt pretty hard with enemies dealing a lot of damage, I overall enjoyed it a lot. Wish killing [sp]Gael unlocked his beard for the character creator[/sp]:vs:
I like some of the new armor. Not a lot of it combines that well if you're really into the fashion business. At least we can bring the sexy back. [t]https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/89351028254841912/2F15CA8F4F6AEDDBA45D5E335560C6B0DD5C3554/[/t]
tbh, i'm not going to bother fighting [sp]midir[/sp] he's just tedious to fight
It's just how I imagined... [sp]the Iron Dragonslayer Armor looks kinda bad when the player wears it.[/sp] Really liking the locations in Ringed City so far, though the sponginess of enemies does get annoying.
It's just how I imagined... [sp]the Iron Dragonslayer Armor looks kinda bad when the player wears it.[/sp]
[sp]In my opinion that seems to be the case with most armor that large enemies wear. It looks like everyone is doing a David Byrne cosplay when they wear their oversized armor.[/sp]:v:
Running a DEX/Magic build (Like, INT/FTH as well) Is the one sword from the first DLC the best Dex weapon still?
Turns out that the PS4 did not auto-download the DLC when it was unlocked. Time for more waiting. Jealous you guys for getting a jump start. :/
tbh, i'm not going to bother fighting [sp]midir[/sp] he's just tedious to fight
Use weapons with a high vertical reach for his head, that's how I brought him down.
That second phase of [sp]Gael[/sp] is screenshot gold, especially when they do *that* move, you know the one. [sp]When he launches himself in the air for a crossbow+sword combo while lightning's raining down all around you.[/sp]
playing through ashes again, I forgot how great this line was https://youtu.be/V4arN2uxYwY?t=112s [editline]29th March 2017[/editline] gg everyone, see you all when bloodborne 2 or dark souls 4 comes out [sp]or hopefully something new[/sp]
I guess I finished the DLC? I just beat [sp]Gael[/sp] and he was...surprisingly easy. Like Orphan of Kos, but baby mode.
