Lol, I went for the lance too. Nice strategy. Ah... yeah, toxic was kind of a nightmare in DS2. After dealing with that, experiencing it in 1 and 3 is so much less of an issue. In 1 it was never too bad, but in 3 I HAVE been beaten by it in an attrition sense. It's not that the damage tick is so high it's a big issue in combat, it's how LONG it takes to go away on its own. You'll likely run out of Estus depending on your build, and it'll creep up on you till you die a very slow death. Still, was always fun in 2 to use toxic mist because of how fast it worked, if nothing else.
Toxic was only a nightmare in Dark Souls 1 when the blowgun snipers got your buttcheek from 500 yards while you were climbing a ladder. That specific version of toxic does 14.5 a tick. Every other enemy that could inflict toxic would only do like 4 a tick. That shit gave me fucking panic attacks. I fear Blighttown just because those little dickmuffin fucknuggets suddenly turn into The White Death himself the moment I step into it.
Those darts aren't that bad. They move so slowly and they never lead the shots so as long as you keep moving you'll never get hit.
If you were trying to get that one fire keepers soul and had low enough poise they could stunlock you and not let you heal. Those are bad memories.

[editline]6th May 2017[/editline] i think the fact that its sfm and the voices are in italian make it feel like some bootleg film and all the more funny
Dark Souls lore videos? OK!
You can't just be linking Pruld's videos and not once mention this one. :v:
Never been more proud to have a fellow Italian make those vids
If they ever make a licensed Dark Souls movie then it better be directed by ThePruld.
ThePruld is a legend. Fucking love his videos. Them being in Italian somehow just makes it funnier.
I finally did it, I beat [sp]Midir[/sp] on NG+!! Fucking Wolf Knight Greatsword was a lifesaver as apparently its an Abyss creature. That final riposte at the end felt so good! If it weren't for the fact that every single charge attack is a one-hit KO, this would have been an amazing [sp]dragon[/sp] boss fight. I think I 100% The Ringed City with the exception I might have missed [sp]Sir Arstor invading me, which apparently can happen[/sp]. Will post some videos of the whole journey.

I just finished another playthrough of Demon's Souls and man, some of that level design is really not great.
i'm fighting orphan of kos for the first time it was light outside when I started, it's now 11:22pm update: 1AM, i'm calling it a night. I've been at this for hours but I'm not even mad, because there is absolutely 0 bullshit factor to this fight. It is just unbelievably fucking difficult. I got him down to 5% on my third try and that just seems unreachable right now :v:

I just parried an invading dark spirit for the first time today.
No infusions, just a second lance. Powerstance.
[T]http://i.imgur.com/2dCVWxKh.jpg[/t] Two days later and I am finally ready.
Dumb rant ahead and therefore try dodging :s: I think after trying to fight the first DLC's final boss 3 times in DS2:SotFS, I might have had my fill with the Souls series. That boss is horrendous. It spawns a total of 4 adds, one of them being a slightly weaker version of a late game boss, and spell casts at the same time. Hell, during the second run I did kill her, but because it was a trade, I died and the boss kill didn't count. :wavey: With the countless amounts of design flaws that DS2:SotFS had throughout the game, it felt like death by a thousand small cuts, and a few large ones. I feel like Dark Souls 1 was like the Resident Evil 4 of the Souls series, and the rest just can't stack up so far. Of course this is a pretty unfair and stupid thing to say, seeings how I haven't tried Bloodborne when I could have, or DS3, but I feel that I'll just be disappointed because I hold too high standards for the other games after playing what I feel is the best out of the entire series. If you guys think this is a silly opinion, I agree, it feels pretty absurd. I feel like I'm saying "If it's not like the first game, it's trash", which is silly to think. It reminds me of that idea of a genwunner. Maybe I'm fatigued of Souls as I started DS2:SotFS immediately after I finished 1, but I just can't help but feel that I should have just played Dark Souls 1 and maybe left it at that for a while. Or maybe I should have started with the worst, 2, that way it'd only get better from there :vs: Sorry for the rant.

the funny thing is that dark bitch is actually pretty easy compared to the boss after her
You're saying the rest can't stand up when you haven't even played half of them? That seems like jumping the gun dude. Especially since Dark Souls 2 is kind of the black sheep of the series. It suffers from a lot of design flaws and game design that reeks of being left unfinished. A lot of that can be contributed to Miyazaki's absence and it's troubling development issues during it's creation. It's an above average rpg but as a Souls game it honestly just doesn't stack up. The game can feel like kind of a chore sometimes.
Of course this is a pretty unfair and stupid thing to say, seeings how I haven't tried Bloodborne when I could have, or DS3,
I just need some time away from the games, as I've been, wrongly, bum-rushing through Dark Souls2 after beating Dark Souls 1.

DS3 and Bloodborne are significantly better in comparison.
You shouldn't judge the rest of the games based on DS2, it's considered under the bar for the franchise. And to probably never come back to DS2. Oh, and an editted addendum to this: I already beat basically everything in Dark Souls 2 except for Nashandra and Duke's Dear Freja, so I consider Dark Souls 2 "beaten" in that sense.
Meanwhile, I'm thinking to go back to DS2 and play a Str build. It's a mighty fine game with almost anything you pick up being viable and the strongest fashion, just that many of the locations are the visually least impressive in the series.
DaS2 has Crypt Blacksword. This sexy UGS deserves his own playthrough.
DaS2 has Crypt Blacksword. This sexy UGS deserves his own playthrough.
One of my favorite weapons. Iirc it was pretty monsterous Dark-infused too.
One of my favorite weapons. Iirc it was pretty monsterous Dark-infused too.
Yeah it was a delicious oversized grape icicle
I miss the weapon variety even though similar moveset
I miss the weapon variety even though similar moveset
I miss the spell variety. DS2 knocked it out of the park for spells, all the schools of magic got rad as hell abilities and you could make some killer mage builds.
