I'm way too nice when it comes to being invaded in my world, accomodating for all the grief invaders get. I bow/wave hello, don't drink estus unless they do, I don't use seeds, I try to stay honorable and just use a sword instead of fancy mage tricks. It usually ends up badly for me since I don't play with 'survive by any means nescessary' mentality, and i've inadvertenly caused myself to hate playing in embered mode :surrender:
I gotta say, the biggest flaw of the dark souls series is not having a kick button. I still can't reliably kick on command and keep randomly kicking while swinging after all this time. I'd take a kick over a jump button any day.
while I agree that it needs its own binding, once you get the hang of it you'll almost always kick when you want to. I had the kick timing beaten into me :v: even though the vid's 26 seconds, that went on for like 20 minutes
You need to extend and round out the chin
Alright, any more advices? At this point, if I need to stare at a character's face for a long time, it may as well be pretty to look at and resemble the reference, no?
Are you saying you could parry the meme RKUGS?
You can but I wouldn't recommend trying it.

They're the ones who need to bow and be friendly to you first. They need to demonstrate their intentions first.

Look at these people without proper manners, I bet you all don't use the right size of a spoon for your soup.
Look at these people without proper manners, I bet you all don't use the right size of a spoon for your soup.
I bet they don't drink estus with their pinky fingers out.

GUYS? For reference: [t]http://conceptartworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Art_of_Alice_Madness_Returns_09a.jpg[/t]
I came to the conclusion that you need an outside opinion when you make a new character. you get so obsessed with fine tuning the details that you don't notice when your character's nose extends 2 feet in front of their face or something
A key element to the character creation in these games is that you're never going to be able to get an exact replica of a character with a wholly different art style. You'll need to adapt it for the game you're in.
There's a loading screen from 0:25 to 0:53 that I couldn't figure out how to get rid of with the ps4's direct-upload-to-youtube editor, so feel free to either skip ahead or use the time to contemplate your day.
Why are you being friendly towards people invading you to kill you? They're the ones who need to bow and be friendly to you first. They need to demonstrate their intentions first.
I'm always friendly to invaders. I let them roam around where I am and then, as their hope seems lost and they slip into despair, I break out of my box/barrel/crucifix/chair/gravestone/etc and let them feel the kind warmth of my lightning sword. And as they fall back to their hellish world, enveloped in the energy of the sun, I release my Very Good carving and assume the stance of sun prayer.
Yesterday I got invaded by a dude while I was trying to go after the Deacons of the Deep, and a blue phantom named Mike Pence zoned in to help me kill him. PvP in this game can easily pretty fun, I didn't really get to it during DS1.
Any tips for DS3? I noticed the shit with the effigies is no longer a thing unless the tutorial doesn't count I died like 10 times on the tutorial boss without even getting him halfway down and then I finally killed him without taking a single hit [editline]15th May 2017[/editline]
I came to the conclusion that you need an outside opinion when you make a new character. you get so obsessed with fine tuning the details that you don't notice when your character's nose extends 2 feet in front of their face or something
I made this character where all his features are min/maxed so his forehead is this weird knife thing that sticks out like 3 feet and pitches downwards in front of his eyes like a blast shield His mouth and chin are this tiny little hole way up and behind his nose
Man the Undead Arena really makes you go hollow. I like my gold badge (I'm a completetionist don't judge) but I lost it when I thought some casual duels in the arena is a good idea. Spent the whole day against cheese builds (pyro spam, ledos, glitch heal) until I manage to run into some bronze caestus parry kings that I exploited to get back to gold I'm sticking to classic Pontiff arena for casual duel
Speaking of invasions, what happens if an invader lights a torch in those catacombs in DS2?
Speaking of invasions, what happens if an invader lights a torch in those catacombs in DS2?
They can't.
I believe what most people say is that you shouldn't play Dark Souls with a keyboard. You can do it, it's just a worse experience.
Well, rebinding the controls can be a bit of a pain, sure. And making the godaweful DS1 port playable sure wasn't fun. But after everything's all set up? I'd say that there's some things that are actively better with a M&K layout. Jumping, for instance. Aiming bows/spells, free-aiming, ect... These games seriously don't need to have the reputation of "best played with controller" because they function perfectly well with an M&K layout. The only problem is that nobody taught Fromsoft how to bind their default keys properly and they never bothered to implement proper PC prompts.
Going back to DS2, i still question why the Trident didn't make in DS3. That spear is so fun to use.
Every game needs the channler.
Opinions on this mod? http://www.nexusmods.com/darksouls/mods/1239/ I have been playing with it for a while and it's fun to have more variety with items. Also for those who like playing as a naked creature:
Speaking of the Dragon Form I'm planning on buffing it now that I've identified how it works.

Going back to DS2, i still question why the Trident didn't make in DS3. That spear is so fun to use.
Unique weapons that aren't from DS1 are not allowed. Fortunately they brought the golden falcon shield though! Hahaha. [editline]15th May 2017[/editline] It's not even good for fucking fashion unless you're wearing brass/favor set and maybe Lothric set and otherwise I would've just preferred Gilligan's stylish saber. Why even bring him back just to kill the dude and not give anything relevant to him.
Unique weapons that aren't from DS1 are not allowed. .
the trident is from DS1 though. I would've loved to have the buff available, I guess the closest thing we got is the war banner
They can't.
But they can lure the torch carrying hollow in by using alluring skulls which triggers Agdayne.
Anybody tried The Surge yet? I'm still not sure. I watched enough footage\streams but it still feels like a sped up Lords of the Fallen. Those attack animation etc remind me that. Even some enemies. Might get it if there's a sale on Steam or something. Steam is cheaper too.
It looks ok. I find it weird that the movement is a lot faster than lotf, but a lot of the attack animations are really slow. If the game had pvp the matches would take forever. [editline]16th May 2017[/editline] I also don't get the point of being able to target specific body parts. Why wouldn't you ever only go after the part that does the most damage? That is, unless the tougher parts get you better loot or something.
