I've always been a big Dark Souls fan, played and finished all of them at least twice. (Except Demons Souls), and now when I have a PS4, I got Bloodborne. It's such a change in gameplay. That mixed with 30FPS makes it so hard to play. :v:

I'd be totally ok with healing spell if majority of fights weren't reactive play, that's the problem.

(Although they still piss most people off when you use them, as I found out by running a Paladin build recently.) But the Projected Heal's self-healing properties are crazy. It heals a decent chunk and casts pretty damn fast. They could easily fix it by reducing/removing the amount it heals the caster, it's a cool spell in concept but all anybody ever uses it for is a cheap way to heal in "honour" duels. Personally, though, the thing that always annoys me is people who just rush straight at you at the start of the duel and then start R1'ing like crazy. Like... Not even from a "They don't let me buff!" standpoint, because fair is fair, but just that lack of any acknowledgement or style, just sprint in, mash R1, and if they win, they start running around and spamming the guard button to wiggle their swords around like a hyperactive kid. I dunno, I just enjoy PvP more when my opponent takes the time to do a gesture or pauses to scope me out a bit before the fight, y'know? Even if they're the sort that points down after every single win to show how cool and edgy they are, that's at least more acknowledgement than the people who treat duels like they're clearing house on some low-level mooks. I mean, sure, they're easy as hell to parry (usually) and they're predictable as anything. But they just feel so... Lazy, and passionless, if that makes sense. Like why even bother fighting in the arena if you're not going to do something interesting with it? Far be it from me to criticise what people enjoy, playstyle wise. But I just can't imagine it being interesting to do PvP using what is effectively the most bread-and-butter combat style in the game. Perhaps I've just played too long and I need the novelty of weird/complex builds to stay interested.

Damn you rng loot tables. I started a new game on ds1 because I'm bad and was tired of getting my ass handed to me by O&S with my shitty dex build. Decide I'm gonna roll as a macey faith dude go full warpriest on this shit. Get to the chapel kill a single balder knight and lo and behold the baller swag sword is gifted to my entirely unfitting character. Why couldn't this have happened during the hours of fruitless grinding on my dex guy.

Man, Anor Londo's been rough going. It has taught me how to parry, so there's that (spear knights still kick my arse though). Now I have a feeling [del]Bert and Ernie[/del] Ornstein and Smough are gonna take me a while.

He's going for a strength/faith build because he wants to use lightning spears. He got the BSS in about 5 minutes while getting souls to upgrade his gear. RNG is fucking bullshit man. I bet he won't see a single Man-Serpent Greatsword.

I ended up needing to get a friend to drop me one. Cue a recent playthrough where I was a Sorcerer with the base luck stat. Got two in the first run-through of the catacombs.

I'm not sure if it's normal to find phase 1 of Gael harder than Phase 2 and 3. Something about him crawling about creeps me out and throws me off, but by the time he's finally ready to face me like a man I've burnt most of my Estus from flinching instead of rolling.

And if he starts doing his wild combo just get as much distance as you can while you wait for his sword drop again.

Helps to fight him on the flattest ground you can find in the huge arena.

Woohoo beat Ornstein and Smough first try on my first playthrough. Felt like a god when I met Gwynevere and the heavenly music played. This game is fun.

my friend wanted to do a new build on ds3 and asked me to help him farm for a carthas curved sword i had nothing to do so i said "sure man" 8 luck kill the first skeleton boom it drops i didnt have any boosting gear or anything :v: speaking of rng its obsessed with giving me pants i have like 4 pairs of lothric knight leggings on one character and i make another one first drop? lothric knight leggings im not complaining theyre good pants its just why also i forgot to mention the endless pairs of deserter trousers

His later phases all have quite visible telegraphing and huge safe areas right next to him if you're capable of fast rolling, letting you get some free hits in. Good fucking fight though. Especially if you go in after dying again and just see him in the distance hobbling his way over :v:
