Woohoo beat Ornstein and Smough first try on my first playthrough. Felt like a god when I met Gwynevere and the heavenly music played. This game is fun.
And then you shot her in the tit with an arrow.
And then you shot her in the tit with an arrow.
Imagine the first player to accidentally throw a knife or firebomb and freak out, yelling about why everything is suddenly going dark
I'd rather just be able to buy whatever I need after I pass certain parts of the game.
And then you shot her in the tit with an arrow.
Yeah and now this trap piece of crap is annoying the hell out of me because I have to partake in an exodus to get back to the boss room. I still love this game though.

Just r/pumparum for items tbh
I fought against an invader who was cosplaying as Thor today. CosplaySouls is pretty interesting to say the least.
why is using estus in pvp frowned upon like bud im riding hot with all these fun tickets and i know theres a bonfire nearby im not Prepared To Die
why is using estus in pvp frowned upon like bud im riding hot with all these fun tickets and i know theres a bonfire nearby im not Prepared To Die
Because people have this weird sense that dark souls is some deep, honorable pvp experience, but they don't like fights that last longer than ten seconds.
Because people have this weird sense that dark souls is some deep, honorable pvp experience, but they don't like fights that last longer than ten seconds.
More like people don't like fights that drag on for 10 or more minutes because the enemy runs away into enemies/whatever as soon as they drop below half health
why is using estus in pvp frowned upon like bud im riding hot with all these fun tickets and i know theres a bonfire nearby im not Prepared To Die
In invasions i fully expect People to chug, in actual pvp I don't sip unless they do
Chase them down when they start running. I've never had an issue with people like that. It's not like they get a speed boost when they're low on health.
In invasions i fully expect People to chug, in actual pvp I don't sip unless they do
P much this. Invaders who expect me not to chug when they enter my world are out of their fuckin minds.
3) The Anor Londo's Sentinels are fucking brutal, to the point that a single one basically road blocked us towards the mini-boss and we couldn't overcome it by the end of the evening (there are only two Sentinels in the whole game, and they are qualified as normal enemies, but they are more akin to mini-bosses: they have 10 points of health, hit hard and all the players in their proximity at once and can mitigate a lot of damage with their armor).
It looks like you didnt pick a mini boss and fucked up and picked an actual boss. The only tier two encounter with a sentinel only has one sentinel. [editline]1st June 2017[/editline] Also you can "grind" souls and get better gear to take on tougher things more easier. I'm playing it right now as the knight and got a sheild so good (and leveled up to use it) I can tank almost everything.
Ringed City is a fucking gank fest Can you pair up invasions with password? [editline]2nd June 2017[/editline] I actually ran into some fuck face with the name of 'Und*** Hero' or something that gank other reds in a host world that ganks intentionally and on repeat offense It was one guy with an unflippable Morne shield + straight sword spam and one guy with crystal spear spam, and the red has the heart to 'help' them [editline]2nd June 2017[/editline] How do I ripostle >2k damage? [editline]2nd June 2017[/editline] Pretty sure I ran into a guy with 99 vigor at one point
why is using estus in pvp frowned upon like bud im riding hot with all these fun tickets and i know theres a bonfire nearby im not Prepared To Die
When you're being summoned with a red-sign and the host who already has more health than you chugs constantly in a fight, how would that not annoy the absolute fuck out of you? It's a massive waste of time and you're pretty much 100% going to lose at that point because you have less estus, less health, and all that [editline]2nd June 2017[/editline] For invasions, invaders who legit bitch about chuggers are being a bit silly, but for 1v1, that's WAY different

Even the gargoyle has one medium encounter. You can only actually grind souls if you take the spark recharge mechanic from campaign play. Because using the bonfire always uses one spark. Or with some homeruling.
Tbh I'd love to see a more coop focused Dark Souls where you have 2 players who are synced to eachother as equals and both are equally important to one another plot-wise one dies the other would 'unember/hollow' and must revive the other at a bonfire. The living coop partner could collect though not spend their partners souls too. both players are required to beat bosses and the game in general. You could literally have enemies designed to tackle 2 players at once. there really aren't enough huge coop games out there. There's games that have OPTIONAL coop, but not many coop focused games like it was the most fun I had cooping with the mate but it'd be interesting to see a souls like designed truly around that mechanic rather than it being an extension of the game itself
Been playing Salt and Sanctuary again, seeing as i never managed to get past the Queen of Smiles originally, holy fuck bosses are close together. I'm just faffing about and BAM, boss. In the past probably 30-45 minutes i ran into four bosses. All in all though this run is going a lot better though, so that's good.

Most times I'll just Black Crystal out if I see my summoner start chugging. But I do remember that on the last instance I managed to kick their ass into the pavement and god it felt good. Seriously, though, honour is for duels. I'm super fine if a host/invader wants to play things the honourable way, but if I'm just after covenant items for Aldritch/Watchdogs or an invadee chugs first, fair game is fair game.
Thinking about a "Coop based souls" too, with 2 hosts/chosen undead, you could even have coop based weapons and maybe a broader more balanced healing line of spells where you sacrifice your own health to heal your ally like, a whip that grabs onto a knights arm to prevent them from moving / using their shield a swordbreaker made to bust/hold an enemies weapon when you parry so that your ally can attack There could be a skill line similar to faith where you can gain health from kills and use health to heal your ally. you both gain 2x souls when you cooperate for a kill. Sorcery and magic in general could maybe be able to be combined with melee partners in that personal buffs are no longer a thing and instead buffing your ally is the way to go instead. You could do a faith / pyro coop combo, or even a sorcery / sorcery combo where if you both perfectly time your spells you deal additional damage. Different combinations of spells/weapons could yield different effects. Parried enemies could be attacked by both coop partners for additional damage, hell you could even gain health with certain swords this way. there could maybe be less enemies but they'd be significantly more powerful and require even more strategy to deal with them, some of them would be impossible without one player risking it for the other. There could even be solo red player boss invasions as well as 2v2 world invasions though the big issue with this idea is that you basically need 1. A permanent coop partner 2. A coop partner that's practically bound to your level 3. Unbelieveable amounts of balancing, to the point where the work needed to even deal with it would be bonkers In my head it'd have to be possible to solo but it'd be insanely hard. You would at least have the ability to summon a phantom, at least 1, at all times, I'd imagine but I mean fuck it'd be so worth it, so long as you have someone with the time slot you're set
man ive been using exile greatsword and its great trading phantoms and squishy hosts for 2 stunlock combos to kill only thing is i cant figure out how to beat spears with it other than weapon art and get lucky
The running attack has hyper armor I think, try abusing that

Doing this has been a signal of sorts since DS1 indicating you demand a no estus fight. Doing this puts the summoner on the spot, because if they don't chug all of their estus in return and continue fighting, then their potential victory over you will be considered pathetic and unoteworthy, something which will damage most people's pride. If they do however chug all their estus in response, then you're both back at square one, the fight can recommence, and it will be fair. I've met my fair share of duel hosts that drank estus mid-fight, and doing this I've had 100% of them this far discard their estus in response to me doing so. Beats black crystalling or clapping into their faces.
I like to fake out hosts by chugging some estus then switching to an empty ashen estus to make it look like I'm out, just in case they chug or equip Way of Blue in the middle of the fight
If there was a game somewhat like Shadow of Rome, with the Arena settings and such and it had the armory of a Dark Souls game, maybe more like DkS1 with poise and such then that would be my kind of thing.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/57f0CRz.jpg[/t] rate my fashion. summer wear souls is hilarious to me for some reason. before you ask, yes, the anvils are part of the fashion
