Fart
A bit annoying to ember up just to get Yellowfinger Heysel's stuff, only to be invaded by two others in quick succession. First bloke was kind enough to kill Heysel for me before succumbing to my claymore, but the other bloke wrecked my shit. Might just stick to offline for dealing with npc invaders tbh.
I remember when I hid in the swamps as a lone box just near the bonfire area and would let blues + giant seed do all the work for me that isn't really going to happen with the giant seed nerf but fuck that was amusing [editline]3rd June 2017[/editline] its not like I'm hidden that cleverly either, its literally just outside the fire to the right, that area. Perfect hiding spot every time [editline]3rd June 2017[/editline]
Imagine being able to recycle dupes for materials to craft other items.
crafting in dark souls survival souls no thnx not the right game
No matter what I try, game keeps on freezing after bout 15-30 minutes or so. Worked fine shortly after release, now it just keeps on freezing and freezing and freezing. Can't be fucking arsed dealing with it anymore tbh.

I never figured out what actually caused it.
Is ds3 online still very active? I thought about getting it for dirt cheap but I don't want PS3 DS1-grade experience that i had a few years back.
Is ds3 online still very active? I thought about getting it for dirt cheap but I don't want PS3 DS1-grade experience that i had a few years back.
Dark Souls 3, as far as I know, is still very active. At least on PC. Never really had a shortage of people to help/invade. Worst case scenario, there's always people like Nidhogg to get invaded by. :v:
I wonder if I have trained enough to beat Nidhogg [editline]3rd June 2017[/editline] To beat Nid, you must become your own [del]demon[/del] gargoyle
I have bested Nidhogg once or twice in the fightclubs, never encountered him in the wilds yet.
Everyone has their own d(a)emons. I struggle the most versus people who either don't fall for my hyper-armor bullshit or who outpoise me with a bigger stick. I never really got past clinging to strength weapons in DS3 and I'm losing my drive to play more and change that, guess I'll just keep experimenting in fight clubs like last time.

It's definitely a twist to fight with something way out of my comfort range. I might go with bow user next time.

According to a recent leak, there's a new Fromsoft/Sony title coming to E3 this year, called "Phantom Wail". It's supposedly an "Ancient Aztec/Mayan" setting with an emphasis on hand-to-hand combat and, the ability to "create your own movesets" from various martial arts styles. Source According to some Reddit folks, the tipster in question has a proven track record (they were supposedly the one who leaked the original Bloodborne before it was released) but looking into the rumour, it seems like this could be a fake out as the game being described is apparently very similar to some already existing game(s). Kinda' hoping it's not true, simply due to the "Sony" part, there. I fucking despise the fact that Bloodborne is a console exclusive and the last thing I want is another goddamn Soulslike title from Fromsoft developers that I'll never get to damn well play. Still, only time will tell.
An aztec themed game would be amazing. The aztec gods are fucking terrifying and the culture is really interesting. I've also always wanted a macuahuitl in a game.
If it's console exclusive then I'm not interested.

I just think that would be neat.
An aztec themed game would be amazing. The aztec gods are fucking terrifying and the culture is really interesting. I've also always wanted a macuahuitl in a game.
I'd agree that Aztec would be interesting. Certainly not my favourite setting, but then again I'm a sucker for the traditional "western fantasy" settings. A macauhuitl would certainly be a cool weapon to see, along with other obsidian-based weapons. According to the leak, though, the combat would be more "hand-to-hand" focused, and while weapons would exist, they'd be secondary and wouldn't have unique movesets like other soulslike titles. I'm with UntouchedShadow, though. If it's a PS4/Console exclusive, then the only thing this game will do for me is make me hate Sony more than I already do. I still haven't forgiven them for holding Bloodborne to ransom. And I won't until it gets a PC release (The PSNow streaming service won't really count, in my opinion, because it'll be based on latency and therefore be a sub-par experience for a lot of users) so I'm really, really hoping that whatever Fromsoft comes out with next, it isn't a fucking Sony exclusive. Fuck console exclusivity and fuck Sony for demanding that we pay over $500 just to enjoy Bloodborne. I'm on a shoestring budget as it is, and while I can at least save up for premium-price games every now and then. A full goddamn console, plus peripherals, a Playstation online subscription and the game's price + the DLC price? Yeah, no, fuck that.
You can get a regular ps4 for less than $300 now. I think I saw one on amazon for ~$250. There are other great games for the console as well. But I do think that Bloodborne should be an exception and should be released everywhere. There are some games that are so good that they need to be available to all, regardless of who published it. It'd be really cool if Sony made just this one exception for it to be on PC and xbox.

Bloodborne should really be on PC, Dark Souls 3 runs a lot better but Bloodborne's graphics are more interesting.
sunken city was a roller coaster of enjoyability for me at the end. Elana pretty much amounted to "cross your fingers she doesn't summon gold vordt (???)", but sinh was fun as shit, probably one of my favorite bosses in 2

the elana+vestadt fight amounted to sprinting around in circles and wildly swinging a mace around until one of them went away
I remember the Elana fight to be very easy, did it in one try on my first attempt. I fared way worse when a hacker called "DUNGEON MASTER" or something teleported me in there and I couldn't do damage cause the fog wall was up :suicide: Sinh on the other hand was great, his theme made me think of RL Stein and Smuph. I like it a lot, Dark Souls 2 OST in general was thoroughly enjoyable.
A lot of DS2's soundtrack feels a little too...generic for me. There are a few good gems, though - Sir Alonne being one of them.

Down here they still retail for $450+ and that doesn't count additional stuff like peripherals, the subscription fee, the game itself, the DLC, ect... All in all, it's far too much damn money to be paying for one game. I already pay internet bills for my current connection and that isn't anything to write home about. My PC is halfway decent, but only because it's literally built from second-hand parts that I got on the cheap from my friends when they upgraded. I'm basically running my whole rig on duct-tape and grit. Like hell I'm going to shell out three months worth of saving just to validate Sony's anti-consumerist bullshit. Even if I had the money to spend on a PS4, I wouldn't on principle. Holding games to ransom on a console is poison to their long-term livelihood and does nothing but foster dissatisfaction among people who just want to buy the damn game. The only company that can get away with it these days is Nintendo and even their stuff is ludicrously easy to emulate on PC. Regardless, I'm going off on a tangent. I suppose my end statement is fuck Sony for holding Bloodborne to ransom, the greedy shitheads.
Regardless, I'm going off on a tangent. I suppose my end statement is fuck Sony for holding Bloodborne to ransom, the greedy shitheads.
Getting upset at exclusives has always bugged me. There's a strong argument to be made that the game wouldn't have existed in the first place if Sony hadn't funded it. Obviously I can't confirm that From wouldn't have or couldn't have taken it to another publisher to get funded, since I'm not magic and know the development details, but it's not "holding it for ransom" if you paid for the damn thing specifically to sell hardware and Sony came to them first before the game even reached its conceptual stage. Either way you can shout what-ifs to the heavens but the game exists how it exists now, and it's not "greedy" to not port the game to the PC out of the generosity of their hearts when it directly conflicts with their reason for funding the game in the first place. Maybe I'm just used to playing devil's avocado after Bayonetta 2 and how people acted insulted that they had to buy a Wii U to play it when the game absolutely 100% would never have existed without Nintendo. Yeah it's not "fair" to you because you don't want to pay for something expensive just to play one game, but tough luck if that's the only way the game can exist. We don't live in an ideal world. On an entirely unrelated note I don't think I've ever seen anybody get upset over a game being PC exclusive. I can't possibly imagine why. Can't anybody think of those poor console players who don't get to play it because they don't want to pay for an expensive PC?

People don't get upset about PC exclusives because a) most people already have a pc and b) it has more than one primary use. Hell, video games aren't a computer's primary use. I bought a PS4 primarily for Bloodborne and I'm almost 2 years into owning the thing and still have like ten games for it. Exclusives are a terrible optionless deal for the consumer.
