Game Dev Tycoon - It's like Game Dev Story, but for Windows, Mac, and Linux - Games

It needs to get on Steam ASAP.

It is quite heavily inspired by game dev story, but it's also a massive improvement. Research, for example, isn't bullshit and the game isn't easy like game dev story is. There's also very little luck involved with making games.

I bought this game over Christmas in the W8 app store, had a blast with it. I had no idea there was a thread for it here, guess I'll have to pick it back up. At first I thought it was just like an upscaled version of Game Dev Story for PC (which I would have been fine with), but there's so much more. Definitely worth the money.

If this was compatible with Windows 7 it'd pretty much be an instant buy for me.

the game is exactly like game dev story. that said, a lot of games are exactly like each other and i really like both game dev story and game dev tycoon. i'm not going to outright deny it just because i actually paid for this.

Yeah, the gameplay is the same but I have to say, I find training employees in Story more tedious.

After seeing the article about this game I decided to have a pop at the demo, and it's really quite good so I ended up buying it. Now to make some hype games.
