Dude, what are your ratios like
The easiest combination I had, that usually rock me in 3x 10 + 1x9 is Rhythm/Action ... Like 10 out of 8 tries resulted in game causing happyshitstorm on the market, just remember to raise the shit out of Sound asset, but not neglecting other stuff. Can't wait till it get on steam so maybe I will get my Win8 version for Win7, which I use for like 98% of the stuff. My Win8 is now only used for Game Dev Tycoon.
For my latest game, Unarmed Assault (military simulation), I cranked Engine, AI and all that tech stuff to the top. Aaand a little world design.
The main problem with this game is that the customers are more intelligent in the game then they are in real life
Well actually, I've managed to sell a game that had ""its okay" reviews with 4 times its cost in revenue just on hype alone. [editline]1st May 2013[/editline]
What do you have to do to unlock Large-sized games (if it's possible)? I tried to make an MMO but it keeps telling me I can't do it on small or medium games
How many employees do you have? You need a full house.

[t]http://puu.sh/2KI7R.PNG[/t] Something Fishy is going on :v: I made a game called Star Citizen as Free Lancer Sequel.
I don't get it every time I make a game for any console besides PC it does terrible, but when I make it for PC it always does above average or amazing.
I don't get it every time I make a game for any console besides PC it does terrible, but when I make it for PC it always does above average or amazing.
Ive found its easier to get a amazing game on console at the later part of the game once you get Iphones and PS3/Xbox's
I just alternate between Prison Action/Adventure and Medieval Action/Adventure and don't change the sliders. I get like $50,000,000 profit per game now.
Any special thing you need for the 3rd office? I have $1b and haven't unlocked it :v
How many fans do you have?
What's the best way to get Research Points?
Well crap I just tried the demo and my 9th game was a hit. I made over 1.9 million inside my shitty garage for a E Fantasy RPG mainly focused on story. Can I continue with my old saves after purchasing the game?
So I spent my entire career making popular RPGs and Adventure Games and I did pretty well; I got GOTY a few times and had a few resilient RPG franchises (the adventure games did better critically, however.) Then I finally decided to develop a Fantasy RPG MMO. It cost most of my funds to fully develop and market (More than 80M if I remember correctly) but it wound up making me more than 300 Million in profit not counting expansion packs, which I pretty much dedicated myself solely to developing after. However, I'm using all that money to develop my last Adventure Game. It has state of the art graphics, storytelling techniques and the best production values money can buy. And it'll be a PC exclusive. MMOs may be a honey pot, but I want to make one last great Adventure Game before the end of the game (which is so close that this'll be my last game). Wish me luck! [editline]f[/editline] Aaaand mediocre reviews. Fuck you All Games.
What the fuuuck? Got 80 in both design and technology, followed the game combination list on the wiki, released on the platform it was best on, and still only 5 5 5 5?

After you purchase the game you can move the files from C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Game Dev Tycoon DEMO to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Game Dev Tycoon and continue your previous game.
What's the best way to get Research Points?
Make games. Also, if you're in the last office, open the hardware lab. It'll generate a lot of Research Points for you.
Make games. Also, if you're in the last office, open the hardware lab. It'll generate a lot of Research Points for you.
How do you get the hardware lab? Ive finished the game and havent seen it anywhere.
How do you get the hardware lab? Ive finished the game and havent seen it anywhere.
Just because year reached it's "end", it doesn't mean you have finished it. Actually, it more likely means you lost it ;) . Well, from what I remember, you just had to go through R&D path of researching hardware and other crap.
You have to get it through the R&D lab. And if you finished the game already, then it shouldn't be lost. Open up the R&D lab and research Hardware.
What the fuuuck? Got 80 in both design and technology, followed the game combination list on the wiki, released on the platform it was best on, and still only 5 5 5 5?
Try the same combination but make it for PC, seems to work wonders.
whenever i play there seems to be a point where i make a 10/10 or 9/10 game early on and then everything else afterwards doesn't meet the high expectations, causing me to go bankrupt :'(
I don't understand how scores work. Making simulation games - Military simulation, 9.25 Space simulation with the same sliders, 9.25 Evolution simulation with the same sliders (new topic, new combo, great combo), 5.25 Making the same genre but different topics too often results in bad games. Or I will make an RPG for the first time in 3 years, and use the same slider weights I used last time I made an RPG (~9 score), and I will get 5s and 6s. I wish they would god damn tell you why they hated the game so much. Like "Oh, no one who has this platform likes this game", because it didn't give me any information about it.

There is really no other explanation.
