just bought it, cant wait to play cause i loved game dev story so!
Damn, bought this. I remember losing so much study and sleep time because of game dev story. [editline]27th April 2013[/editline]
Wait so this game is now available on windows 7? If so I am definitely getting this since I am a windows 7 user plus a tycoon nut. Edit: I watched a lets play of this 2 days ago and It looks fun!
I took a dive into the deep end and bought it anyways. It works for win 7
bought! downloading super slow. should have included "Decent Servers" in this engine
Yep, the Store is now online: http://www.greenheartgames.com/2013/04/28/game-dev-tycoon-is-now-available-for-windows-mac-and-linux/ I get the feeling that more people were playing the game here than I gave early-access to :/ We're just a start-up and really need your support. The game is only 7.99USD, DRM free, you get the installer for all three platforms, you can install it on up to three computers for personal use and we will give you a Steam key when and if the game is on Steam..... ... so please obtain a legal copy and make us happy. Patrick Greenheart Games
Bought! Had extremely fun in the demo version, even considered upgrading to W8 just for this (and see what the "fuss" about W8 metro is about)
Welp, looks like I'm going to be spending the whole night on this.
Just played the demo, this is really fun! Once I go to the bank to get cash I am going to buy this.
I made Space Paranoids, 7 across the board, and then made a sequel, Space Paranoids 2. 1s across the board. I should have expected that :v
I remember seeing this thread and thought why only Win8. Bought it now for Win7. Awesome game.
my first big hit. making a post apocalyptic RPG was a huge success
fuck off, All Games. [editline]28th April 2013[/editline] okay wOW THE FUCKING WRITER'S BLOCK ACHIEVEMENT GENIUS
I liked the demo but is the full version worth the 8 bucks?
I'd buy this, but my bank account is at negative $8 because of some random bank fee I have never seen or heard of before. Fuck you, bank!
And i went bankrupt :( office is so much more complicated, couldnt seem to get anything to be as succesful as Fall In and i leaked money out of my everywhere
~When i got my big hit it said i had raised the standard, so maybe that was a nice way of saying every other game i make will not sell very well :D
never go to the office stay in your garage making videogames by yourself forever never fully take the cover off your delorean either
First game I made received 6's all around. Next couple games received about the same thing, then everything went downhill from there :v: This game is really fun. [editline]28th April 2013[/editline] Also bought the game. I am going to have fun with this, considering I actually want to start a game company :v:
Any ideas how to make a big hit in the office part? Apparently people weren't so happy about Command & Inflict 3
Field of Battle made me like 200k when it got off the shelves. Every other game has been a flop.
How can you even succeed in the office part? Is that even possible? Also has any one else made a quick game to get some quick cash, and suddenly its your best one when you put minimal effort? Because that's happened to me three times
Seems heavily specializing dev time for the genre and type works the best. Best I've done is 4.4 mil for a sci-fi rpg with almost max story, dialog, and game world.
Is this like Game Dev Story where you can never make a good first game ever?
Seems heavily specializing dev time for the genre and type works the best. Best I've done is 4.4 mil for a sci-fi rpg with almost max story, dialog, and game world.
did you lower gameplay to zero if so congratulations I'm glad Mass Defect was a success
did you lower gameplay to zero if so congratulations I'm glad Mass Defect was a success
Gameplay was at about 1/4 and yes it was called Mass Effect and its sequel Mass Effect 2 :v:
Oooh, looks really good! Reminds me of Under Development
This game is amazingly fun. There was something I wanted to suggest earlier, but I can't remember what it is now... Also, made a sequel to one my early garage-made games and easily made over 8mil with it :v: [editline]28th April 2013[/editline] Oh, I remember what it was. Being able to re-name games/game engines during/after their development. Sometimes I forget to name my stuff after creating it, and I would them to be something other than "Game Engine #8"
Argh I'm dying in the first office after the garage. Went in with 3 million and now barely keeping 500K.
Argh I'm dying in the first office after the garage. Went in with 3 million and now barely keeping 500K.
it's the fucking monthly charge shit
God damn it I remember reading something about editing your saves so I went in looking for them, I think I found them (the local storage folder with the file_0 files? :v:) and now loading up the game starts it from the beginning. argh what a bad day
At year 10~ I've gone bankrupt like 3 times, the monthly fees are so high and most of my games don't bring enough money to cover the fees. Does anyone know how to edit the savegame for more money/cheat for more money? The savegame file at appdata/Local/Game Dev Tycoon/Local storage isn't editable like in the windows 8 version
Seems like FPers are horrible at managing money :(
