Why is the office stage so HARD AS FUCK HOLY SHIT. Also i made a game in the garage that somehow made me 2 mil
I think ironic names are what gives games the boost to win.

Seriously how are you supposed to make a good game in the office stage.
Got to year 24. Time to take a break, haven't even read the news and stuff :v:
Quite fun I'd say. Took me ~7 hours to get here.
Once you get past Y13 it seems to ease up a bit, focus on getting decent publishing deals to get your fans up to that 100k mark.
Also, it seems reviewers are partial to new game types you haven't tried before. Doing a save/reload test, I made a Fantasy/RPG and got 6-7's. I reloaded, made a Vampire/RPG that I've not tried before and got 9/10's, despite generally the same level of hype and overall Design/Tech score.
I played the demo and loved it but I'm not a fan of using their website to buy the game. Is there any sort of estimate as to when it will be on steam?

When it's greenlit. If you loved the game, support the dev directly, they'll get more dosh for it!
There should really be a time limit to when you go bankrupt, like you could be below -50k and not go bankrupt as long as you go above -50k again by the end of the week.
i had a 4 10s game but i went bankrupt when it was released
Holy shit this game is like brutal and unfair as fuck.
So ijyt, what would it take to edit stats? :v:
Staying at home forever seems to be the optimal choice. I released a 2-million martial arts action game Fighter Streets, along with some other 0.5M-1M games, and the monthly pay is laughable.
Ive figured out how to win at the first office. Research medium games, and do low ratings needed publishing deals. You get about 1-2m per time!

Key "slot_1", copy the data into WordPad.
Each employee has this block dedicated to them:
{"id":"24962cfc-7f8a-48d4-92ec-11537a6907a9","state":"Idle","name":"Susan Freeman","dF":0.17730498798936614,"tF":0.9686950120106345,"speedF":0.7044888476654889,"qualityF":1,"experience":2886.375286378692,"researchF":0.32484430738538506,"salary":56000,"engineProgress":{"points":40.93599999999986,"research":2.4705406794529763},"contractProgress":{"d":0,"t":0,"r":0},"bugFixingDelta":683,"relaxDelta":0,"slot":1,"working":false,"currentAnimation":"sitBack","onFire":false,"maxBoostLevel":0,"boostRechargeProgress":0.3,"efficiency":1,"flags":{"body":9,"head":11,"hiredTimestamp":814013.7647249999,"nextVacation":2836843.7886,"lastTrainingTimestamp":2458940.7886,"secondLastTrainingId":"techTraining2","lastTrainingId":"speedTraining2","didWelcomeTraining":true,"workload":48.451650517782284,"gamesContributed":18.129325864254813,"needsVacation":false,"relaxGained":0.3000000000000002},"spawnedPoints":[],"visual":{"typingAnimation":{"currentFrame":0,"currentAnimation":null,"storyBoard":[],"paused":true,"alpha":0},"screenAnimation":{"currentFrame":21,"currentAnimation":"loop","paused":true,"alpha":1},"thinkingAnimation":{"currentFrame":0,"currentAnimation":"end","storyBoard":[],"paused":true,"alpha":0},"sitBackAnimation":{"currentFrame":0,"currentAnimation":"loop","storyBoard":[],"paused":false,"alpha":1},"drawNotepadAnimation":{"currentFrame":0,"currentAnimation":"end","storyBoard":[],"paused":true,"alpha":0},"notepadImage":{"currentFrame":0,"currentAnimation":"all","paused":true,"alpha":1}},"sex":"female","dLeft":0,"tLeft":0,"rLeft":0}
Now lets compare that to the employee's actual stats:

I'm sure if I were any good at maths I'd be able to determine the relation to her having a Technology score of 484 to a "tF" value of 0.9686950120106345. I'm not sure how sensitive the values are, but you might want to back up your save file if you're going to go over a value of 0.9999999999999999. I can't test it right now but edit all those values to enhance stats.
Experience obviously increases level, salary is self-explanatory. It might be interesting to increase the "qualityF" value to see if games get better scores.
"dF" = design level
"tF" = technology level
"speedF" = speed stat
"qualityF" = unsure, might increase overall game score?
"experience" = the current level of the employee
"researchF" = research stat
"salary" = how much they cost each month
"engineProgress" = unsure, may be only relevant to when a new engine is being made
"research" = unsure
This value editing is far too confusing. i was hoping for a cheap and easy cheat engine shuffle.
Guess ill just need to learn how to be better at office
I just started over again following NotAName's advice. I hope it will go better.

I liked having employees in game dev story. I hope office becomes easier so I can actually do well in it.

And then you went bankrupt because it's impossible to survive the office.
Wow, holy shit. I made a game for the "Gameling" that sold for 5 million. Just... Holy shit.
[editline]28th April 2013[/editline]
Wait, I'm gonna have to screenshot this...
(It was 3 million. Close enough.)

Fantasy/RPG or x/RPG within a year or so of the Gameling launch will always make huge bucks.

I recommend to everyone to not go anywhere near 20 when editing your stats..
Oh hey, that's the average bugs SimCity came with when it was released!
stuff
It won't change anything unfortunatly. I've tried changing it to the "maximum" of 0.9999999999999999 as you wrote on cheathappens, but nothing seems to changes... Am i doing it right? Key slot_1, all stats to 0.9999999999999999, save and compress.
Shouldn't that do SOMETHING?
[editline]28th April 2013[/editline]
I take that back. It did work! 0.9999999999999999. changes it to 499
[editline]28th April 2013[/editline]
You just have to load one of the games in the save games after the edit
Pretty sure you can change them to higher than 0.999. I did that on my W8 save, and the stats were in the 10,000's.

I can just confirm this, this actual minute. Changed some stats to 2.9'ish and it was accordingly changed!
I feel some super-staff in the making :v:
Just remember. The higher their stats are, the more points they'll get when making a game. What I mean is, it seems like the amount of Design and Tech points you can get per each step of making a game are somewhat determined by stats. Before you edited the stats of your staff, it may have taken ~3 months or so to make a game, now it'll take longer. If you set the stats high enough, they'll keep generating points for years even.

Aha, just realised you're the same guy on CH and the Greenheart forum. Small internet.
