ok i was mistaken, performance isnt better at all. In fact it might even be worse in cities.
I'm not a fan of the fact zombies can hit me 3 times in one swing, and then finding out most melee weapons are useless, so i'm left flailing at a zombie as it gets garenteed hits on me.
Is the AI suppose to be like this? Feels a little cheap the way they can do multiple hits in one animation.
Yea the latest update has me concerned, I hope they reevaluate the changes they made.
I mean, I'm being killed way more often as a newspawn now then I ever did before because everyone is starving to death and they just want to eat me. That's happened more in the past few days than has ever happened, but maybe it's just me.
On top of that the zombies are way more annoying and melee is completely ineffective.
You can pretty much stun lock zombs now with your fists, dont try the circle strafe anymore as they follow you, just back up and swing at their head.
I haven't had any problem finding food, what are people complaining about? I'm bright green energized and hydrated right now.
How bad are the performance issues? I'm gonna check out this update with a friend once he gets DayZ installed.

If you run games at 1080p 60FPS, you won't on DayZ.
so i started playing dayz again, havent played in around 2 yrs. and goddamn you still cant catch a break.
so there's me, this hobo looking fuck who just spawned for the first time in the middle of nowhere, after wandering for what felt like ages I found a house just as I start to starve to death. I walk in and find a tin of heinz, i go to eat it but realize i can't because no shitty fucking tin opener. I eventually find a hunting knife in the next room and use that instead. So there i am in my underwear (or whatever the fuck you start off wearing) eating cold beans when i hear rapid footsteps behind me. next thing i know another fucking bum has punched me in the back of the head for my beans and i'm out cold. i wake up and chase after him, about to pull out my hunting knife when i realize this fucker stole it. next thing i know i'm running down the coastline bleeding out while this crazed bum with a knife and beans all over his face chase me. then i curl up in a ball and bleed out like a bitch. gg

There was, but it seemed to fade away for whatever reason. I think it was lack of funds?
Whenever we get a server it turns into us arguing on how it should be run and eventually everyone loses interest in it.

We had no arguments, but interest was lost.
wasn't there a semi-official server that had some douche admins who got mad for being killed and like locked everyone out of the server except themselves? baghdad cafe or something?
It was always weakly populated and the main guy who ran things made a lot of excuses whenever one of his partners abused their privileges as a server administrator to gain an advantage
All in all everybody lost interest in baghdad cafe because he basically said he didnt need FP players in the most insulting way possible. Personally I never had problems with the admins
I'll give it to you that it was a proper server and good times were had.
the worst thing about baghdad cafe is that all helicopters are freaking empty
Thanks to the central economy I found 5 weapon flashlights and 3 assorted AK stocks in the SW military base, yet I can't find any damn gun which I have the right bullets for. Also, is it just me or are outhouses full of great mil-spec loot now? There's at least one piece of camouflage clothing in every outhouse I've went into and once I even found an Amphibia S. Who the hell puts their pistols and military clothes in a outhouse of all places?
yeah the loot spawning is fucked, its like 5 scopes and silencers to 1 tin of beans
3 of use were playing last night and we were finding nothing. Even in buildings that hadn't been opened. Police stations, fire stations, nothing. Although I did find about 30 fucking books - back of military jeeps, under cars, on shelves, books were all I found. [B]Even in an airfield all I found was books[/B]

So I found out there is a spelling mistake in the description for the AKS-74U Buttstock. It says maetal instead of metal. The more you know :downs:
