It doesn't help that I can't even fucking play the game. I get no servers in the browser and when I just play normally, I get kicked after 10 seconds with some weird error

Games still a pile of bollocks atm, only fun if you've got a group of pals and even then it's just broken as shit.
Mods are supposedly gonna be a thing soon, and I'm sure that will breathe some life into the series.
I occasionally boot it up and play solo and it's fun but I get everything in a couple of hours and since there's no continuity I can't play the character long term, wouldn't do it even if I could build bases and shit.
That's why I want singleplayer with some cool A-Life-esque bandit AI
I think the arma 2 mod of this game should of stayed that way. Was a lot better and scarier for some reason. Maybe it was the original zombie sounds.
Okay, I need help deciding which to put on my MP5K. I can either put on the compensator and have a suppressed pistol, or I can put the suppressor on my MP5K and have an unsuppressed pistol. Which is the best option? (Keep in mind my pistol is 9mm, just like my MP5K)

FN FAL is a fucking beast, I hate going up against AI in Arma II that have it; it's fucking scary when all you hear is BEWMBEWM and dead. Heck even one shot was enough do kill you if I remember correctly.

It looks really nice and I'm a huge sucker for this damn game but I'm trying to keep my hopes relatively low.
I remember the FAL in ARMA 2 DayZ would 1-hit zombies and kill players insanely quickly. The short time that the thermal-FAL was in the game it was an absolute monstrosity.
It will be a very good DMR too. Just install the ACOG and you have a 700 m. insta-fuck up machine

Still I'll say it again because the thread is dead - anytime i see new features, I feel like I'm not going to be able to utilize them fully without a singleplayer (it's not like I'll get my hands on a bike anytime soon etc. :v:). I dunno, as much as I love DayZ for what it is, I'd also really, really enjoy a singleplayer mode.

I find most of the fun of Dayz comes from the player interaction/constant fear of players. I dont think it would have the same effect without that

God. I just want a big pile of zombies filling up a city just like in a movie.
The last few times I've played DayZ, I haven't even seen any Zombies and that's been through multiple cities, Cherno, Elektro, Novo, Svetlojarsk and Berezino. Absolutely none. It's hardly a zombie game in it's current state.

And not only for the creep factor. Them congregating in big groups at night would also make it an optimum time to loot cities. You wouldn't have to deal with as many stray infected and it could present some interesting gameplay situations.
But AFAIK there has been nothing but silence on zombie AI in a long time. One can hope...

They have them disabled till they work out horde ai and server resource costs prob .59 or .60

As janky and messed up as DayZ mod was it was a blast for some reason I can't quite explain. It functioned just well enough. I pray that the mod scene for standalone will bring it back or at least make it more fun. Standalones early days with M4s and mosins everywhere was a blast as well
