I-is he running through the town without any fps d-drops? *shocked gasps, then a single applaud turning into a rumbling wave of cheering and and screaming*
I really doubt it will be exactly like that when they release it, but it looks like the FPS will be improved for sure.
Well, I'm not expecting the early versions of Enfusion to ne flawless, but even a slighty bigger and constant fps is something big already imo.
Y'all are just saying they aren't making progress? well this proves you all dead wrong.
that's great where was this last year
Just in time for my new computer
imagine if they had just used the arma 3 engine instead more stable, more fps, light and weather fxts that don't look like absolute shit
I'm pretty sure the goal of the standalone's engine even before the game was released was to have it practically remade, so the engine the game were to use when it was released wouldn't matter much when it comes to the finished game.
that's easy to say but at the moment when that decision was made it was easier to pick 'done&ready' Take on Helicopters branch than 'in alpha' turmoil Arma 3 branch of course I agree that in medium-to-longer-term it would be simpler if they picked Arma 3 (less of merge-hell) yet now it's sort of pointless argument as DayZ will leap-ahead by utilizing Enfusion engine modules via full rewrite while Arma 3 can't do same via partial rewrite (at max. will be able only smaller portions than DayZ)
well at this point the Arma 3 engine would had been the better choice we'll see how it goes in the long run. if they actually manage to make the engine actually feel smooth and fluid like a game engine should, it will have been worth it
but until then, we have breaking point
Only taken them what... 2 years?
You really think they could have done this 2 years ago? They are making a WHOLE NEW ENGINE, it takes some fucking time jesus.
At least people are working on this game and keep updating it, Fuck you Cube World.

Man I would love them to turn this thing around. I still kinda have faith in the team, even though the last year has been pretty rough.
I just want a full-auto Saiga with drum mag to fuck shit up.
I hope the scout uses 5.56 That would be most interesting.

Gas canister? Oh boy this makes me want to sprinkle some nice loot on the ground with canisters nearby and shoot them from afar on unsuspecting victims.
I also wish that my favorite cars from the mod will make a comeback - the Old Hatchback and a Skoda sedan, especially the green one with a little lightning on the back.
I want my brutalist soviet vehicles
I want my brutalist soviet vehicles
UAZ and URAL ftw.
Grenades are OP. And buggy.
Any news on when we can expect 0.60? The game has been unplayable for me due to the framerate, but if the new renderer can get me to a relatively consistent 30fps, no doubt I'll be sinking in many many more hours.

That was a trip. Killed about 20-25 people myself, squad of three with me killed about 15~. Don't know what these guys were doing/thinking.
I'm hyped.
It's not perfect but any performance increase is good when it comes to DayZ and it's Microsoft Powerpoint framerates.
