Whenever I try and join an experimnetal server, even if it's got slots open it says "connecting failed." What do?

What do?[/QUOTE] try continuing to join empty servers even though you get the "connecting failed" error - when the "Joining game..." screen stops appearing (it often should) when you repetitively try joining an empty server and pressing the 'connect' button gives no feedback at all (when you're in the regular server browser), repetitively click it as fast as you can as you might be able to connect.
I got in but every server was completely unresponsive. Couldn't jump, open doors or punch anything and then the game would just kick me to the main menu after 5 minutes.

Yeah they acknowledged the server issues right now, some servers work some don't. Won't get fixed til' Monday

When the streamer server was active with around 40 players on it it was really responsive.
Should have pushed a dedi server update for the 0.60 one since >SO MANY< people want to play. Man i really hope dayz is back (didn't manage to get into any servers for past 3 days since i been busy with stuff), the only reason i didn't bother to play is that there was no cars and constant 5 fps.
The reason why they didn't push the udate forward to the stable branch is because of a boatload of crucial bugs like disappering items. Once they fix most of them we will be able to ride in two-wheeled cars with 40 fps on stable.
I mean let people host their own 0.60 servers for the beta build. And oh god i got in, 150 fps in cherno.

Okay I got about 30 minutes of gameplay before the server I was on crashed and I can say the new renderer makes a big difference. I didn't manage to get to a big city but things definitely looked nicer and my framerate never dropped below 60. Found new shit like being able to search for stones and make a knife, search for worms. I ate said worms and got sick but it hints at fishing which is cool. I feel like when this moves to stable I might actually get back into DayZ.

I can play at 144fps out in a field but as soon as I get close to a main settlement it hits the deck. Smaller settlements are fine.
are you guys forgetting how before now, playing in the cities were more or less impossible? I know it's still sub-60 in a lot of places but christ at least its playable now

I have yet to dip below 30fps on max settings with the new render, so that's a huge plus for me. Used to dip to about 18-20fps~ in towns on below low settings (only thing high were the textures :/) So that's a huge improvement in my opinion. Aside from main cities and initial water load in my FPS stays stable. Does -dx11 work for this engine?
