Looting the south west military base on a server with only me and my friend. A single person joins and he happens to be in the EXACT same rooms as me in a barracks literally 3 feet away from me. Jesus Christ, what are the chances.

For some reason 90% of servers no longer show up in my server browser and a lot of servers instakick me with no reason specified, the box only saying, "You have been kicked from the game.". I tried deleting battleye and then verifying the game cache but still nothing :(
Okay, so, prisoner clothes suck. I was hit by a zombie once and both the jacket and pants were instantly ruined along with everything they held.
Going back to gorka clothes I guess.

Maybe you're just joining some of those "this is my loot farm. I will kick you if you try to join"-servers.
Are hackers really as rampant as it seems? My last 3 geared characters have all been killed by one.

In this patch? There was a massive ban wave and they have new Battleeye and anti-hacks going on. There will always be hackers in Dayz and other games, but atleast its not as much as it was in 0.52.

It only happens with DayZ though. I play hours upon hours of CS:GO and other games and it works fine.
So uh, I don't totally understand. Is loot spawning working or no? I found [B]5 [/B]guns, a lot of clothes, about 8 cans of food, no water at all, and a [B]single[/B] round of ammo in a few hours of playing. Entire food markets, firehouses, etc were nearly 100% empty, containing 2 or 3 useless items. Entire south-west airfield was nearly empty. Played on two different servers.

Are you playing on servers with persistent on? If you do, make sure you find servers that have it off.

Must've been two unmarked persistent servers. Shit is pitiful. Joined another and got my B&W ass shot clearing the ACT as someone else came in the clear the ACT behind me. Then I spawned by two dudes who whispered about how tasty I'd looked when I left. And when I tried to find them again I found a bigger group and mistook them for my friends. They shot me in the leg with a flare, then chased after me with some 9mms.
tldr loot spawning was working but they weren't around when I came back with a nugget
It'd be good if you randomly spawn with an outfit set. Like someone spawns as a cop, prisoner, medic etc.

I'd like this. Just clothes and maybe replace the flashlight+battery with another similarly useful one (battery is actually moderately rare). It'd be cool, but clothes aren't balanced for it rn.

I'm pretty new to DayZ, I've only joined persistent servers and I've found great loot. I had to server hop a couple times but I like keeping all of the loot that I find. I'm actually kinda confused about the whole persistent vs. non-persistent servers.
For example, in non-persistent servers, wouldn't I lose the loot I collect every time I log off?

I dont know, I have found that I never ever find loot on persistent servers while i do find loot on non-persisten servers. Also, no you dont lose your gear.

Oh so then you always keep your gear no matter what, it's only the loot on the ground that stays persistent across servers that have persistent enabled? Does that mean that on non persistent servers you spawn in a random spot each time?
