We do have an FP server running where not everyone is bound to kill you on sight. It's in Games In Progress. Also I am so hyped for the V3S with cargo hold. That's going to shake up the silly truck-hunting that's been going on. I wish they'd lower the V3S spawns a bit now.
They should add server options with sliders. LOTS of sliders

I actually found it on my own and have been on a few times, no one has noticed me yet :v:
That is just sad.
Yup. Standing in a tree give you a small chance of basically being invincible, some guy kept going prone in a tree and sniping my friends, when I tried to kill him, all my bullets just pinged off the leaves.

Surely even more people will be hunting for them now.
has ANYONE found the attachments for the plate carrier? I spent my entire day off looking for the bastards and nothing. Absolutely nothing. Found like 15 plate carriers but not a single pouch attachment or pistol holster. Ridiculous. Its also ridiculous that the plate carrier can only stop 2 rounds of .380 at the moment. I hope the devs arent being stupid again where they flirt with the idea of ~~balance~~, because last time that happened the result was dumb (high dispersion on weapons).

Whereas the attachments for the plate carrier *allegedly* spawn in regular military spawns. Also agree that plates should be attachable items. If thats the future plan, which I hope it is, it makes sense that the plate carrier as is only stops pistol rounds. It'd be neat if there be some choice between ceramic and steel plates, sacrificing durability for more protection etc.
I think heli crash sites is a dumb mechanic that does not improve DayZ's reputation as a walking simulator.
regarding heli crashes, I've found a lot of them in the last week or so and the best I've found is an AUG. Not seen an M4 or an AK at one, nor any clothes beyond shit stuff like hats and boots
Why are the only populated 1st person servers private hives? Why is the community so lame that they can't play the game without 3rd person?
Are burlap sacks spawning at all? I've serverhopped on persistence on and persistence off servers and not found one.
Are burlap sacks spawning at all? I've serverhopped on persistence on and persistence off servers and not found one.
They're much much rarer now, I've been trying to make my first ghillie suit and I've found four in several days of searching... Considering they only make one sodding burlap strip per bag (which is ridiculous) it's going to be a long journey.
Made top and hood before the patch and it took a full day and a half, over about 20+km. If it got harder, good damn luck.
ah shit I forgot that my buddy's character was suddenly deleted when he lost connection while driving our V3S, and he was carrying the burlap strips... Think I might hold off on playing again until camps stay longer than a week and vehicles stay longer than beyond a server restart...
Why are the only populated 1st person servers private hives? If you stick around though some of the 1PP servers will fill up rather fast. Federal and Honky Kong have been maxing out a lot lately. and yes the community is that lame. These are the same people who literally tell you that being able to see THROUGH objects with the camera is "working as intended".

It'll all go at the end of the week and you'll lose 95% of it
Those cartons of 5.56 that aren't emptied and stacked though
see, what's the point of doing this? It'll all go at the end of the week and you'll lose 95% of it
tents are persistent through updates now. at least, I believe they are? I saw someone had a tent with shit inside it immediately after the update so I just assumed. regardless we can grab almost all of it, we have to lose a tent unless we get a third person in on the action. edit: we'd have to lose ammo but that's no big deal. we both have highcap vests so we can take both aks74us, and we can have an ak on the back each and an ak or mosin in hands. one will take a backpack full of ammo and mags and the other will grab a tent.
Those cartons of 20 x 5.56 that aren't emptied and stacked into 30 x though
they are now.
Game is unplayable with this amount of hackers.
no hackers on private hives
Hacking is at an all time low. It won't last long but for now there are very little hackers going around on the game.
Game is unplayable with this amount of hackers.
Well its fixed now. have not seen one and I have pretty much only been down south on full servers with this patch. Always died legit.
It's kind of a shame that cooking takes so much effort now. When my friends play we used to get really into cooking and eating deer meat and messing around at the campfire but now you'd probaly die from hunger just getting the pot and everything and the cans of food are RIGHT THERE. Thus even in the end of the world fast food is now picked over home cooking. Also I don't know if this happens to everyone but when my vision gets blurry n' black and white I can fix the blurryness at least by just opening up my video options and closing it again. Weird bug but really handy. Maybe everyone has always been doing it.
