This game has the strangest damn issues for me, like in the middle of matches I'll just randomly tab out, it's really crap because it always happens in the middle of combat, getting me hurt bad if not outright killed most of the time. I can't find any fixes other then just playing in windowed mode but it's unplayable at the res I have to play at to get framerate without the fullscren stretching.
I had a similar issue with other games a while back, traced it back to some video setting I'd enabled through the graphics card utility (Radeon Settings or whatever the Nvidia version is called) Reset it to default and all was fine
I don't mean to bother, just wondering if you've seen my earlier post, a day ago.
Am I just crazy or does Commando really suck? For being rifles, the Commando guns are garbage compared to the SWAT SMGs, largely down to the reload times and the magazine sizes being really shit for the damage they do. Sure you get a +100% magazine size perk at level 20 but you're suffering up to that point. The SCAR is the only gun worth a damn in the lineup and even that does only about as much damage per shot as the M1911.
Now that you mention it, I can't think of a single way in which Commando one-ups SWAT besides making stalkers visible.
Commandos real strength is extending zed time.
I really like it when people pick commando over swat for this reason alone.
So can we get a C4 "buff"? Make it a secondary rather than a equipment since you can't quick-change by using the Last gun used bind and maybe more ammo, hell make it work with the second tier skill that gives more 5 ammo since it's the only weapon that doesn't work with it

Commando is actually quite powerful once he gets hollow point, though still not really meant to down scrakes/fps. Great mid/trash clearer though
He can take down scrakes in a pinch but fps will probably kick a commando's shit in.

I'd love to see the DP-28, RPK, M60, MG42, M249 etc. You'd have the option of setting it up on a bipod like Payday 2. Maybe an overheating mechanic? I also wish we could get a glock with full-auto and riot shield for SWAT.

I think the perks are diluted enough as they are. In KF1, Commando was the class with the spammy higher-cap, comparatively low damage guns, that role is now filled by SWAT. Other than spotting stalkers and additional ZED time extensions, Commando has no more reason to be because they still run on KF1 balancing but most of their roles have been usurped by other perks. My suggestion to fix this would be to completely retool SWAT as a riot cop and give commandos the passive mag cap bonus but I honestly doubt it would happen, not to mention, the way KF2 is designed for high octane sanic speed action 100% of the time, it wouldn't lend itself to a perk whose main job would be to stun zeds instead of killing them. You could still keep the PDWs as the main damage-dealing weapons but also add less-lethal ones like a shotgun shooting rubber slugs, pepper spray and a riot shield with a shield bash.
ooh, give 'em a riot shield that can be used with one-handed pistols shield has its own health bar that needs to be refilled by paying the trader to fix it, has a shield bash that stumbles the fuck out of them
What are you on about, commando is hands down the best trash cleaner in the game. It kills light trash in 1 shot and mediums in like 2-4, what more do you want? The lower magazine size is completely justified due to the higher damage per shot, and you can always take the speed reload skill if you're bothered by the long reloads. Though I find that unnecessary personally, with proper reload discipline the +50% mag size usually turns out to be more useful. At level 20 you should be taking hollow point rounds anyway because the extra firepower is way more of a boost than ridiculously large mags. SWAT's magazine size advantage is completely negated by the lower damage forcing you to use more bullets to accomplish the same job anyway. I'll admit that the low tier commando guns are crap, M16 and Stoner are fairly mediocre gimmicks too, but SCAR's definitely not the only usable gun in the lineup. The AK and medic AR are superb weapons, they're so good that you basically don't ever even need to buy the SCAR unless you have extra money laying around and you want to switch things up a bit. The only real advantage SWAT has over commando are the flashbangs which make it much easier to deal with fleshpounds. But that shouldn't really be a concern to you as a commando anyway, you should have a teammate who's playing a perk better equipped for the job to take them down for you.

The best way to do solo HoE is to take a slow, methodical approach and abuse the spawn limits. If you try to kill every zed the moment you see them, they'll almost immediately respawn somewhere near you and it's easy to get overwhelmed when you're on low health and your guns are empty. Instead you should try kiting them around, paying attention to the path in front of you and try to always have a backup escape route in mind in case the main one gets blocked unexpectedly. Once the max number of zeds have spawned in, you can easily keep them all in one big group by constantly moving and keeping a fair distance between you and them. Then you slowly pick them off, only a few at a time so that you'll never get surprised by a big group that just spawned in to replace them. The alternative is to take a level 20+ berserker and just roflstomp everything because you're near invincible.
Teleporting zeds is still toned down. It still IS a thing, and I think they can teleport even if not stuck, but only trash zeds. I heard it used to be SO BAD you could have both ends of a hallway effectively blocked by a single zed at the same time.
Survivalist should be LMG/heavy perk. Lots of crowd control and defense perks.
I'd love a tommy gun. Need more machine guns in general really, especially beefy ones.

I've been trying to get one of the backpacks this whole time. I keep getting the ugly ass skins, they don't even glow.
I found SWAT to be really easy to play as you can tank damage until your armor runs out (unless there's a Siren) which makes a lot of room for mistakes. The bullet hose weapons are fun to use and can efficiently work as a trash sweep and even a large Zed killer in combination with the flashbangs, which don't do self-damage and can get you out of a pinch and stun large Zeds for an easy take down. Even if you get out-damaged by the majority of classes, SWAT is still a better survivalist than the Survivalist.

The music from KF1 is still leagues above KF2's honestly.
