Doesn't help that precious items look fucking terrible with their all gold paintjob. I have a precious varmint rifle and grenade pistol and those look pretty okay, they're not all gold. The character cosmetics are complete shite, though. Maybe Tripwire are playing a reverse psychology game by making precious items seem important but what people actually want is the stuff that looks good over the stuff that's "rare"
I swear it doesn't, check out this site http://kf2stats.de/u/76561197993421597
They would look a ton better if they did the gold sparingly as more of a trim than splashing it on the entire body. https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/900022996186411049/41A0309F6EBC964A792D3309AD7A975191B329E0/ This mod makes the armor look less like polished butter and more pleasant to the eyes. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1236309054
Every game I see a golden power ranger and it pains me so.

There is always a helms deep. Every game with custom maps inevitably gets a helms deep map.
As far as custom maps go, what are some recommendations for really good ones once you've beaten all the official stock maps?
The Spongebob map (KF-BikiniAtoll) is better than it has any right to be.
Does KF2 also increase zed health along with the zed count the more players you have? I've been playing KF1 with the server veterancy handler and it's kinda weird how short TTK is compared to KF2, even at perk level 0. The 9mm in 2 is unusable garbage for anything better than alpha clots but in KF1 it's actually a reliable side arm for trash zeds.
Been playing KF1 with a couple of friends just the 3 of us in a dedicated server and they are enjoying the game a lot. Which caught me by surprise since their first impression wasn't the greatest when they first booted the game up. Now they know the names of every one of the special Zed units and we actually started to strategize plays to kill the patriarch.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1258411772 Biolapse is a really good map, and feels like an official map (warning: its pretty hard on HoE) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=643269874 Hotel zed is another favorite of mine, and also still gets updates every now and then https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=900540985 Nice port of Foundry https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=733191110&searchtext=west+london Even has support for Stand Your Ground now.
I know that the arm piece appears in my inventory but won't appear in any cosmetic lists with any character.
Why does the 9mm look, sound, and feel like shit in kf2? I've already put on a mod that restores its gun metal black texture and its beefy firing sound from kf1, but the gun is still pretty bad to use even as a backup weapon.
9mm is weird in the sense that it'll take some class perks and not others. I know the 9mm for support will reload faster with the perk but won't get the extra mag size otherwise.
The 9mm feels bad in KF2 only because you can't even really use it as a backup, or early-wave weapon unless you're using perks that buff it (Sharpshooter/Gunslinger, or skills that boost its damage. If not, then it'll always seem to take 2 shots to the head to kill even cysts, which is pretty silly. I guess they figured because every perk gets a specialty weapon at the start, the 9mm can afford to be crap. I know it's not always the easiest feat, but I find it pretty silly that pistol-whipping a cyst on the head is more damaging than actually shooting them in the face with it.My opinion is that the 9mm should be always be a one-shot the most common trash enemies once you reach max level of any perk.
Does the 9mm take the passive damage bonus?
KF1 9mm is fucking godlike, has so much punch in it, feels like I could take the whole world on with just the 9mm KF2 9mm feels like I'm blasting nerf darts at the enemy and the only thing actually killing them is sheer pity
When comparing the two it's no wonder. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/213180/0ef22911-005a-439d-a34a-bbe27ab4957f/image.png
Buff the 9mm, make gunslinger spawn with 2 9mm instead of the revolvers and make the revolvers t2 I reckon.
I think it'd be better for TW to buff the 9mms damage back to 35 again imo.
Then the 9mm would absolutely shred on gs/ss.
Well the 1858 Revolvers already do that with the Gunslinger and (maybe) for the Sharpshooter. The 1858 Revolvers already do 60 damage for their base damage and the M1911s do 50, so having it be at 35 again wouldn't really hurt to do.
Med pistol is basically a better 9mm anyway, ontop of ranged heals.
Considering Kf1 has you start with only the 9mm regardless of which class you start with I figure is pretty much fair for the weapon to be good. Specially since perk weapons at level 1 are expensive as fuck. You have it so much easier in KF2 since you start with the pistol and your respective perk weapon.
There is the talent for some classes that buffs the pistol and knife damage by 110%, usually you'd take that for the first couple of waves. But still, it's just that the weapon also sounds like I'm just throwing tissues at people, is there a mod that replaces the sound with the KF1 sound?
You can find one here that replaces some of the weapon sounds from KF2 with those of KF1, I especially love the 9mm pistol and the explosion sounds.
https://steamcommunity.com/games/232090/announcements/detail/3229520292636705750 Why you tease me so, Tripwire? M32 is all I asked for ever since early access.
I find it kind of odd that they'll somehow find a place for the M99 considering the rail gun is functionally the same thing. It'll be another single-shot heavy-damage weapon, but I'm going to guess the M99 will either reload faster, or have a significantly higher ammo reserve. I'll be surprised if it's lighter, but if it was 8 on the weight scale, that would mean you could carry the M14EBR at the same time, which would be pretty neat, doubtful it'll happen though. Maybe it'll do 600 instead of the 750 the rail gun does.
Personally I hate the look and feel of the Railgun so I'll be happy to have an alternative that's a more conventional firearm.
