Killing Floor v10 - Let your team die, they're obviously holding you back

The railgun feels like total dogshit if it's supposed to be a proxy-M99. Sure the M99 had meme-priced ammo, really slow reload and you couldn't carry anything else with it but you got what you paid for, which is an OHK for anything, 2-shot kill for Patty even. By comparison, I'd rather use the crossbow than the railgun because the crossbow has better ROF, the lack of lock-on allows you to make better penetration shots, you can recollect arrows and the damage difference really isn't big enough to warrant spending more money for the railgun.
You're aware that the Railgun alternate firing mode disables the lock on and deals 750 when not locked on right? Compared to Crossbow's 350.
Actually, I wasn't, thanks for clarifying. I still think the railgun sucks, though
I hope they bring back Tommy Gun.
Anyone else think it's kind of weird that they have perk talents that are only useful for the first few waves? I really don't get the 110% knife and 9mm since those waves aren't difficult in the slightest. Id rather just take the other thing and not have to worry about changing it later in the game.
Voted for MK23. Was split on the FAL and MK23 (was interested in the Tommy Gun too) but decided to go with MK23.
Really hoping they all make it in.
None of them seem that difficult to implement.
That's one of the pitfalls of programming. These kind of tweaks have a tendency to break something completely unrelated (something which has happened a lot in some of the GTA mods I've written over the years).
I voted for the Tommy Gun. I have never used it in KF1 before since it was DLC but I'd like to try it out.
Really? That's a shame.
I really enjoy the fictional weapon aspect of certain KF2 weapons. I really go for the sci-fi aesthetics of the medic gun and railgun, the way the latter glows red, and crackles with energy after you fire it. I kind of would like to see more fictional weapons just so they can add some more cool, unique weapons.
Commando's Fallback perk also gives you the 50% faster weapon switching speed, which I find handy for a multitude of reasons. SWAT's equivalent talent does suffer from that problem though, especially when you have to choose between it and Tactical Reload.
Both those perks are pretty weak since SWAT has massive magazines and a decent reload time. Reload > 9mm most of the time though.
Bloody hell, why couldn't M32 be voted in instead of M99? The 'nade launcher would've filled a nice spot with its' rapid dispatching but long reload time, unlike Seeker Six which really just sucks for the price and I still think that should be a tier 3 weapon with some adjustments.
Balancing M99 seems like it'll be tricky. Railgun sharp already trivializes big zeds, so I don't know what they're going to do to differentiate the two weapons apart.
There's still a chance it'll make it in if enough people vote for it, but sometimes I wonder if Tripwire secretly doesn't want to add it. Seems like they've almost been avoiding adding it for the last 2 and a half years when it's clearly such an obvious choice of a high-tier weapon for Demolitionist.
It's definitely odd people chose the M99 over the M32, but I guess because sharpshooter was a pretty popular perk people want to see it again.
More importantly the bloody perk trees need a good update.
Especially the Demos level 15 right upgrade. Just remove the damage penalty and people will use it.
Honestly the whole thing is in need of an overhaul. 3 choices would be much more preferable.
They can't really balance two columns. I can't imagine them doing three.
An overhaul is pretty unlikely, best we could hope for is numbers tweaking unless a bunch of people really made a stink about the state of the skill trees.
Probably because they haven't touched them for years.
None of these options are very gamechanging besides the M32, but demo just got a weapon that's basically a shitty M32 anyway.
I voted for the Tommy Gun because I'm thinking that it would the perfect fit as the hypothetical cross-perk weapon between the Commando and SWAT.
Speaking of cross perk weapons, why isn't the SCAR Commando/Sharpshooter? Seems like it'd be a perfect fit.
Giving Sharpshooter an automatic weapon sounds ridiculously strong.
If anything, FN FAL would be that choice if it comes to fruition.
I think the Mk23 would be best from that group as Gunslinger needs a high tier higher capacity pistol, rather than another battle rifle for Commando.
I would love to see some more pistols, since Gunslinger is a favorite of mine. Now more than ever I'd love to see the .44, since I don't remember it being very good in the previous game.
it would be nice if gunslingers had a modern revolver aside from the .500, like a Python or something. heck i'd even take a weird futuristic revolver like a Chiappa or Mateba, or a straight up fictional LAPD 2019-style design
I'd take a double action revolver that doesn't have the animations cock the fucking hammer back.
