HATE EDAR
Oh, yeh, makes sense.
Something that i think TWI forgot: the previous Summer event, like it appears you not able to do the challenges from the previous event at all and the unlock the costume. This is sad
E-Dar's actually aren't that bad when you're playing sharpshooter. When they run, they always go in a straight line with their head completely still, so they're kinda easy pickings.
I finally reached level 25 in all perks, just in time for prestigie to get added, now I can do all that progress again.
Is funny because apparently new players shouldn't be able to get a chance to unlock the previous event rewards. Also what's more fucked up is that you are able to complete the whole event before it even launches officially
It just ruins the whole point of the event and idea
I find it kinda silly how the default dar costume is time limited. That should be free and the level 5 one should be something unique.
Fun fact: E-Dar's actually still have their heads when they're De-capped, so you can still get headshot damage by shooting where their head was.
iirc this is the same for all zeds, the damage value is set to 1 hp so it's practically useless to keep shooting it.
One of the devs said this on reddit a while ago
E-dars still take full body damage if you shoot them where their head was.
1 unupgraded Xbow de-cap, and 3 9mm shots to the head area will put down an E-dar
I'm a little confused about the upgrade system. Does it just upgrade the damage?
So why people think that medic shouldn't be a combat medic? I'm not talking about the medic skills but the combat medic role, why people say that medic should be for healing and healing only, shouldn't be able to do damage to defend him and his teammates from at least most of threats with exception on bigger ones which would require teamwork?
I know, what i mean is not output the other classes in terms of damage but be able to do at least a similar/close amount of damage so they can at least not only survive by themselves but also rely on the perk weapons rather than need to rely on other perks weapons
Considering the only decent way to level up medic was to spam heals like a madman while trashing zeds, I'm not sure I like where they're going with this
there is only one prestige level in the beta, also evidently the weak spot on the E.D.A.R.s is the chest, as if you shoot it enough the chestpiece falls off and exposes a core(?)
I don’t think anyone really says or thinks this. With how Medic can output damage and healing nearly simultaneously, by nature he’s already a combat medic. In fact I’m pretty sure most people expect Medics at the very least to be able to take care of themselves or keep down trash. I think the perspective you’re trying to get your head around is aimed towards the opposite extreme, Medics who wander off and frag out while hanging their teammates out to dry (which is admittedly a really rare case in this game).
But if someone is doing decent healing it’s basically irrelevant how many kills they get, blaming them for being a combat medic is just an easy out for why the team lost without looking further into personal performance or other factors
I found out they removed bash-canelling. RIP.
I had EDARs spawn on a boss wave with Patty, whole four of them two being trappers
it's bullshit
No, i didn't mean as a lone wolf asshole type but i understand what you meant. What i mean is there is some people who keep shitting on medics that are more aggressive meanwhile healing his team because "his going out of his role and if he wants to kill just go commando". Also i don't understand the hate for the medic guns, especially the Hemogoblin. The only thing i wish we had was more variety for the class
I've never actually had this issue before, and I'm pretty much a battle med if I have to choose that perk. As long as I keep my teammates healed up (which is my priority anyway) - I've never had a complaint.
Although in saying that I stick to Hard mode (and sometimes Suicidal) which maybe why. It's pretty rare to get angry teammates on Hard.
So I took a look at the airship map in the editor and it seems like TW finally added an option to set the trader voices for each map. Patriarch seems to still be the default for endless mode, but it looks like you can change the trader voice for survival to the Trader, Patriarch, or Lockheart now.
I'm honestly astonished at all the negativity surrounding this beta.
I'm not that surprised, they changed a core aspect of the gameplay for weapons.
I think is mostly the big changes to the weapons and how barebones the upgrade system is
Weapon upgrades seem like a totally pointless addition to me, and I'm really not a fan.
As for the prestige system, its neat I guess? I'll never touch it because it doesn't seem worth it just to have an ugly knife and a special logo.

If all we get are shitty weapon skins then I don't want to prestige more than once.
Isn't prestiging always just for bragging rights? Can't think of a game where it actually did anything interesting.
In Payday 2 it increase experience gain, reduces the amount of skill points you have to spend to reach higher tiers in the skill trees, and increases the drop rate for rarer cosmetics.
