I got to lvl 15 on my 23c/time cop, then remembered how long the Klingon story line is.
Good thing is that you have until the end of time basically, or until the game shuts down to finish your Temporal agent. Taking your time is key I think.

For newer players, its a level 50+ queue where you have to get 14 items a day to complete an event for 50k DIL, bunch of fleet and rep marks, plus a prize. This time it's the I.S.S. Stadi card.

Just updated and played for the first time since January,
Decided to delete my two alts that were at level 20 that were pre skill system update
and create a 23rd century science officer and a Romulan tactical (Both Fed) as my main is a Fed Eng.
Enjoying the 23rd century [sp]Shame that you end up back in the 25th but they could do something interesting at a later date with that[/sp].
So is this worth getting in to? Is it still fun without paying for anything? Easy to play by myself?

The only thing I'd recommend buying before level 50/60 is the energy credit cap increase, Once you've hit 60 it's probably worth buying a ship considering how much time you'll put it into it if you enjoy it. And it's totally playable by yourself I'd recommend it for the story missions.

Should add you can get a T6 Fleet ship without paying except for the energy credits cap to buy the fleet modules it just won't have the mastery trait.
The new lighting changes are on the PC test server if you want to see them.
The current build on the test server is pretty damn close to the consoles, only a couple version numbers off.
I just into this after my brother suggested it. I find it quite enjoyable with friends, almost reminds me of the old days playing Bridge Commander with a group of people.

If I didn't have to download a seperate test copy I would, though from what I've seen it's a big improvement.

I should add if you're playing on consoles, the economy is brand new. And there's no cap increase at all.
Keys are under a mil and everything is generally fluctuating. I would take advantage of this immediately if you plan on playing consoles long-term.

Does anyone around here still play? I played the game at release but dropped it after a week, started playing a couple of days ago and I'm having a blast so far, current a level 34 Federation Human Engineer.
The 7th anniversary event is going on right now, so perfect time to jump back in and snag that free T6 ship.

I've been reading posts and guides(mainly on Reddit) and they always suggest that if you want to convert Dil to EC, you should trade Dil for Zen and buy the 10 master key pack in the C-Store. But isn't it terribly inefficient?
10 Keys(950ish Zen when on sale, 1100 reg. price) are worth roughly 55 million EC. At the rate of 300 Dil per 1 Zen you're looking at around 300K Dilithium for a key pack. It comes out to roughly 185 EC for each dil spent. However, buying loot boxes with Dil gives a waaaayyyy better ratio. 20 Loot boxes costs 170 Dil in the Dil store. 1 Loot box sells for about 7-9K in bulk(10K+ if selling individual boxes). So 170 Dil gives you roughly 150-200K EC, which is around 1000 EC for each Dil spent. Yeah, if you have a ton of characters it might be a bit bothersome, and you probably can't do it on too many accounts because you run the risk of flooding and crashing the market, but converting dil to boxes on just 1 characters is the equivalent of farming Dil to convert to Zen to buy keys in 4-5 characters.
I've tried it out and bulk boxes sell pretty fast, even now off peak trying it out I've made something like 3 million EC. I'd probably make more if I just mass listed single boxes, but that's quite a bit of effort(and would probably flood the market)
Sell Infinity Boxes, they can be at least 20k during downtime between each promotion. Not sure how much they are atm. But if you don't have any, stockpile a lot next event.
Eh, I'm saving infinity boxes for when I can save up enough ec for a key.
Heh the Kelvin boxes were really expensive before they got added into the infinity box. Maybe now the Sphere Builder box will bump in price? I doubt it though, the KT box was really sought after for the ships.

Playing the game with a Jem'hadar soldier as one of my bridge officers, aiding me in battle, is one of the coolest things in the game. Even though it's a small thing and it's inconsequantial and has no real impact on the game, it's still one of my favourite things about the game.

The Patch for my NX-Refit, I have it rotated because I felt it looked too similar to the SFA Emblem from TNG. I chose to represent Australia and New Zealand on the Earth because of the relation of the HMS Endeavour to that area, and the ISS is there because of the Shuttle.
For the dedication plaques I used a PSD I found on Deviant art, but I used a different font, one closer to the letter style seen on Voyager's plaque. The names on the Victorious' Plaque are from the Sao Paulo, and the Endeavours' are from the Columbia's. Found them on M-A.

The Crew Roster for the Victorious, I made the birth dates a little more realistic then you'd expect for the game. Pretending that my captain didn't just graduate from the Academy 1 in game year ago.
