Grand Theft Auto Series Megathread V11 - SERIOUS RP ONLY

I liked the FCR-1000 until I found out how slow it is compared to other bikes. It let me down, since I was expecting it to be fast, like the FCR-900 in GTA SA. Should have waited to get some facts about the speed before buying it on name recognition.
On the subject of motorcycle speed, I got a BF400 a little while back, and I cannot believe how damn fast that thing goes. Now THAT, that's what I was sort of expecting from a GTA SA vehicle returning. Doing wheelies on a straight path is insanely quick.
I want it to become my new favorite bike, but it's going to take a while before I can override the Bati as my current favorite.
The Bati 801 is still my favorite just because of how insane it is for it's price.
I was planning on buying a Banshee and turning it into a 900r (aka the fastest car in Online), but then I found out that the Bati is around 1 km/h faster than it. A $15,000 bike is faster than a $691,000 super car whose sole purpose is being the fastest in it's class.
It's also good for stunts because of it's excellent wheeling capabilities and large flat bottom, allowing it to fly off almost any type of wall.
The 900R WAS the fastest, then the 811 took it's place. Idk which car is the fastest in a straight line now. One of the cunning stunts super cars.
Drag Hako is funny in stunt races, you have to essentially learn how to fly it instead of how to handle its turning
I wouldn't mind more drag bikes because I love how fucked they are to drive, Drag Bati or Drag Akuma, some cool shit like that
Anyone ever feels slightly amused (and aroused) by driving through tubes?
There is something about going down them that makes me feel better.
Kinda wish there was a track that was one massive pipe, filled with little pipes inside. The ultimate pipe dream.
It feels so good going into passive mode before accepting someone's yacht invite, then when they make everyone leave the yacht to murder them, I just calmly walk over to the hot tub and relax amidst all the gunshots and explosions.

Both the 900R and 811 had their top speeds reduced in a recent update. They used to have top speeds around 135MPH, but in Broughy's recent testing, the 900R got 131 MPH and the 811 got 129.25 MPH. The 900R is the best for top speed again.
oh wow, and here I was about to sell my 900R.

Are top speed cars better for stunt races, than broughy top lap time cars?
Are top speed cars better for stunt races, than broughy top lap time cars?
In some cases, yes, but I really would not recommend the 900R or 811 to anyone who is looking to race even if they're just going on stunt tracks. As much as I hate anything Bugatti, the Nero Custom is probably the best choice for almost all stunt tracks as it has good top speed and is also much better around corners than the 900R and 811. The X80 and non-Benny Nero could probably work well in stunt races too, but it might be a bit harder for some drivers to get the most out of them.
I upgraded my Sultan into a Sultan RS yesterday. I love the way the sultan handles and the new modifications are nice, but it's nowhere close to being worth $800,000.

the rs is too fast for sports class and too slow for supers. it's only niche is twisty offroad bits and that's just not something people typically choose supers for.

It's not too fast for the sports class, it's actually slightly slower than the top sports cars so it could fit in pretty well if Rockstar moved it there. It wouldn't even ruin the group of rally cars in sports as it has no benefits when driving offroad(unless R* changed something).
I genuinely enjoy the new stunt races. At least the ruiner and voltic ones

it's benefit is that it's awd, same benefit the regular sultan had in the sports class early on

I think it just needs to be faster, not moved around.

The weird thing is that there is a hidden 5th engine upgrade, similar to it's super transmission upgrade, that went unused. If you enable it through a trainer the car will be considerably faster.
I just use whatever car is the most fun to look at and drive.
its why one of my favourite cars is the shitbox classic blista

and the vulcar warrener. I don't even like rice burners :v:
My favorite car is a matte white Bravado Youga Classic with rusty retro paintjob and La Cucaracha horn that I call "Average Mexican's car".

and this reminded me again (like the 4th time I'm saying this in this thread) that I want more fucking classic styled hatchbacks/cars in general in this game.

They'd be perfect, there'd be shitloads of customization options ingame because these cars are usually modded to fuck by chavs and whatnot.
but nope gotta have more super cars
[editline]19th March 2017[/editline]
Just bring the Club and Flash from San Andreas

and I (and I'm sure others) would be much happier
I would love a drag akuma
There's a chance this could happen in a sense.
The Akuma is a stripped down street fighter version of the Double T. R* have yet to add the Double T Custom from TLAD (http://gta.wikia.com/wiki/Double_T_Custom) which has a longer swing arm.
and this reminded me again (like the 4th time I'm saying this in this thread) that I want more fucking classic styled hatchbacks/cars in general in this game.
See, as much as we'd all love to have them, the main reason R* releases supers all the time is because they're the most popular class of cars among the majority of GTA:O players. All people seem to care about is how fast or how well cars handle.
All I want is more love for the Coupes.
I noticed that GTA V starts to stutter after 5 minutes of playing. I don't ever recall this happen before, when I played the game for a bit months ago, let alone never happened when I first played it when it got released.
These stutters completely freeze the game by either milliseconds or entire 10 seconds.

Me and a friend have speculated that there is a memory leak going on, and the way he fixed is was getting an SSD.
So, unless I am getting more than 8 gigs RAM or/and a SSD, I am unable to play the game.
Bummer, because I really wanted to replay the story mission. :s:
Anyone else who had that type of issue before?
Try alt tabbing out of it when the issue occurs,I remember people having similar issues and fixing it with that for some reason. Also make sure your mods are up to date.

Tried the alt tabbing trick before and it didnt work out. I don't have any mods running either.
I also put the gta5.exe to the highest priority and enabled VSync, but I still got the same results.
That used to happen to me.
No idea what fixed it, though. I just sort of noticed one day that it stopped doing that.

this is true and its frustrating as fuck
If it is a memory leak only affecting you, try reinstalling.
I play with 8 gig of ram and its fine. (2 gig vram)
Those are definite symptoms of not having enough ram, so a memory leak is a possible issue. Have you monitored your ram (graphics card ram to be exact)? Going over the recommended can cause stutters.
Yep, just reinstalled the game!
been testing for a bit. This is how much VRAM was used after it started stuttering:
[t]https://i.imgur.com/uRpeOlQ.png[/t]
I somehow doubt that the usage of 3+gb is suppose to be normal.
I own a GTX 960 with 4gb VRAM while my CPU is a 2600k I7
[t]https://i.imgur.com/a8EdUWK.png[/t]
I am gonna lower some graphical settings and fiddle around more.
My game also has that intermittent freezing issue once again. It locks up for about a second, and that will happen 2-5 times before the issue away. I remember one of the older updates caused the same problem, it might have been the one before the MC content. Although when the lockup issue happened with the older update, my game would just do it constantly.
Just for the hell of it I also left some monitoring software open, and the momentary pauses don't seem to show up at all. CPU,GPU,RAM, and storage activity all remain constant. No memory fluctuations or anything.
