I got killed in passive mode once by being in a car as passenger with someone without passive on, and the car blew up
Idk if that can still happen but that's how it worked
Weird.
That happened to me once but instead of dying, my ghost character remained in the vehicle and walked outside like nothing happened.
Probably a bug I guess.

Someone should make a vaporwave picture with that face.

Do you still have these issues after you select the character? A while back when I fucked around with director mode, I had some of these issues appear and it would usually look fine after I selected the character.

Saw this support article being shared on Twitter and I thought it would be worth sharing here. I don't think it's really surprising to anyone, but it's a relatively new support article that officially explains what Rockstar's stance on unofficial MP servers for GTA V and GTA IV is.

Not fucking surprising in the slightest.
I kinda wish there was a Limo Stretch that had a turbine like the Rocket Voltic or some sort of "Turbo" mode that launched it at really high speed.
Hey guys, I made a video about the things I've done in GTA Online since the PC release happened. 2 years to the day infact.

Broughy finally got around to making a proper testing video for the Infernus Classic and Turismo Classic. Most people involved in racing probably already knew the kinds of lap times they would get, but I'll post it anyways for the uninformed:

Destroying special cargo seems a lot more funnier with the Ruiner 2000 than with the Hydra, however, I think the only real downside is not having enough rockets.
Yesterday I completed an activity with the Ruiner 2K and I killed like two dudes plus destroyed a Buzzard without really having to aim, the easiest 20,000 I've ever made. Then I saw an MC resupplying their business in a Van, but I only had two rockets at this point and they only made the van catch smoke.
Good thing the driver left the van to try and kill me, all it took me was blasting him with the Assault Shotgun and finish off his van with a grenade.
I don't think it's overpowered as people think though.
It's too easy to run out of rockets and the machine gun is pretty much useless. The only things that make it a viable option are the homing rockets and the parachute.
You get like 5 chances to kill someone instantly before your car becomes useless for combat.
It goes without saying that sometimes people use weird wizard magic shit on me, like when I'm attempting to approach or flee from the area and the sky around me begins exploding continuously, I've never been killed by the explosions but it sure scares the living fuck out of me. I wonder how they do that.
You're part of the reason why GTAO is cancer
the problem is the game tells them to do it, so they just do it
Ignore his shitty bait guys

sure is good to know that you haven't grown up yet
While we're on the topic, I really don't like how Rockstar alerts you of the special cargo and such, they make it sound like a mission, like a freemode event saying "you WILL DESTROY THIS NIGGA'S CARGO AND YOU'LL BE PAID NICELY OR ELSE :^^^^^)" when in reality you don't have to. The only thing stopping me from trying when I was new to the game was the lack of equipment aside from a rifle and a pistol, not the fact that you barely get anything at all for doing so.
the problem is the game tells them to do it, so they just do it
The problem is that sometimes there aren't really many interesting things going on in Free Mode, so people do whatever the game says.
I used to care about my precious Special Cargo, Business Supplies and Cars until... I got to the point where I realized that all those things were easy to come by and that most of my amusement comes from what I do to get those things rather than getting the things themselves.
Honestly, once you have been playing GTAO for long enough you will realize that the only thing that is required to succeed at the game is spending time playing. I mean, you don't need to invest anything to progress in the game but time.
If your Special Cargo gets blown up, big deal, what's the highest you pay for it anyways? $18,000?
You make that by just doing Headhunter or Sightseer, which can be easily done with a Buzzard and if you want, done in an Invite Only session. I used to do VIP Work on Invite Only sessions to make cash, after going above one million I could just put cash towards buying better guns and carrying more armor, plus I bought an armored car.
If your Business Supplies are destroyed then it's literally the same shit. Except by the fact that Stealing Supplies don't cost anything, it's probably a lot less risky compared to CEO Cargo because you don't need to invest anything and can resupply any time.
Import Export is basically CEO Work designed for loners whose friends only play every once in a while.
You fill the warehouse alone, sell up to 4 cars when you've got people.
Vehicle cargo is so fucking easy and cheap, people who are even worse than me don't even bother stealing them because stealing a car without destroying it is way too much work and you only get paid for returning it or taking it to police.
The problem with GTAO are the people who get mad because you are making them lose like three minutes out of work that can easily be done faster and better in a solo session.
Vehicle cargo is so fucking easy and cheap, people who are even worse than me don't even bother stealing them because stealing a car without destroying it is way too much work and you only get paid for returning it or taking it to police
a high end vehicle, which you normally get, can easily make you ~100k in under 30 minutes, have a full party plus export a collection and you can get ~400k plus a bonus for yourself and your party, ofc it makes people angry when you destroy a vehicle or vehicles that can get you that amount in every 30 minutes lol
I normally play on empty servers with my friends (now) but if we were any more accepting of playing on public servers and if we didn't know any better than to block ports and join on each other, the amount of cars we bring in every time we play and the amount we cash out via high end vehicles and collections wouldn't be as much if we played with people with that exact mentality. it's not wrong to follow what the game tells you to do, but vehicle cargo is not 'cheap' nor is the payout 'cheap', especially when you're buying the property to do cargo missions, not everyone's got millions to spare like I do
and speaking of 'solo sessions' you can't even do these cargo missions in solo sessions without tampering with your ports in public sessions or suspending the game in public sessions.
It's very easy to make a solo session without tampering.
Just make a playlist with a single short race, like Criminal Records, then, once the playlist's scoreboard shows up, hit "Replay".
The game will load back to the lobby menu for the race, once you're there just quit the job and you'll be in an empty session.
This works in PS4 and is pretty much what my friend and I do every time we want to boost cars and sell drugs. I don't know how if it works in PC.
From what I understand, it seems like when you hit replay the game decides to place all the players who want to replay in a session of their own, thus creating an empty session with nobody else but the playlist's players.
[editline]14th April 2017[/editline]
From what I've learned doing CEO stuff solo:
1) Never sell in sessions with more than 5 or 6 people. Don't sell when more than one player from a certain crew a present or when there are one or more organizations with more than a single person on them. (This only applies given that nobody has made a truce).
2) Always accept the truce, never offer it.
This means, never ask other organizations to be friendly, you must be expecting them to message you.
If they don't care about explaining to you that they're friendly, then they probably don't care about what happens to your cargo either.
If they message you, good. If they don't message you then either switch sessions or throw something like a single crate or resupply something of lower quality to "test them".
3) Never stop to fight.
Every single person that I've killed does this, the people that I've never managed to kill survive for this reason.
If you stop to fight while delivering cargo, you're only making yourself easier to kill. The cargo vehicles can let you survive certain things that would normally kill you instantly, such as Sticky Bomb explosions or rockets, but once you're out of the vehicle you can be killed just like any other player.
When you keep moving, it's harder to aim and most people suck at driving.
4) Nobody gives a fuck about the county.
As a personal preference, I have my business set in Los Santos. Driving from the city into the county is easier because most of the time you'll be driving downhill instead of driving uphill, thus letting you gain more speed.
Most people rarely go into the county because they don't want to risk driving all the way there just to be killed by the person they're chasing.
Piracy Prevention, Hostile Takeover and maybe even Sightseer are all better done in the county.

It's much easier to just move your system clock forward a year, wait 10 seconds, then change it back.
So uh, is it still not safe to play online?
I took a break when the new Zelda came out, and from what I understand, now might not be a good time to return.
Apparently there was a huge ban wave, but from what I've heard, hacking is worse than ever right now.

Nope, Rockstar has applied a few hotfixes to fix a few issues, but they haven't fixed all of the bad shit that cheaters can do currently. Public lobbies are still dangerous to join on PC if you value your GTAO money.
Oh. Well shit, the Infernus Classic was appealing but I don't want to play online if it's not at least relatively safe, especially considering their new zero-tolerance policy.
Back to Zelda it is, then. :s:

I don't think public online is ever safe.
It's just extremely less so now than usual.
I don't expect rockstar to ever fix this in any way tbh.

I'm kinda glad I don't play on PC. Wouldn't like to get banned for no reason.

It's ez to not get banned, don't worry. Move over to PC.
